Acto is a type system designed as the sans serif counterpart of the previous released Acta. Both type families were designed in 2010 for the redesign of the Chilean newspaper La Tercera, but unlike some of our previous fonts (i.e., Leitura) Acto doesn't exactly match Acta in terms of structure, so they can live on their own. Acto is our first sans where the uppercase has the same height as the ascenders, so we decided to avoid common problems like the confusion between the I and the l, by drawing a curved l. We kept that spirit by removing the spurs on the b, g and q, resulting on a more warm typeface than Prelo, for instance. In the end it's a very powerful sans family, with eleven weights with matching italics, for editorial and corporate design.

Mr Robot is a typeface designed for our next book for children. We wanted to have a colorful, dimensional and edgy looking letters for headlines. There are three ways to use Mr Robot. You can align three text frames with same text but with different colors and font styles (Regular, Shadow 1 or Shadow 3 and Shadow 2) or with ALLinONE font style but select a different OpenType Stylistic Sets (set 1 is like Shadow 1, set 2 like Shadow 2 and set 3 like Shadow 3). This works great but we don’t like to have unnecessary text frames in our layouts so we added a very cool Contextual Alternates OpenType feature. You just need Mr Robot ALLinONE style and only one text frame. First make sure that Contextual Alternates is off. Type every character three times (RRROOOBBBOOOTTT), select colors for each letter (first letter of every three is a side shadow, second is bottom shadow and third is a front of the dimensional letter). When everything is set just turn Contextual Alternates back on. Styles and alignment will be set automatically. Check out the Users Manual for a visual explanation. For web fonts it is better (at least for now) to use the first method (with font styles) as the OpenType features are not supported in older browsers.

All ideal for mixing with Acústica Script whose idea represents the volatile sound of a fine tip brush against rapid tracing paper. Bushing is a quick serif experiment going for open light display type. For years I have always stopped and really liked what I saw with fonts like the original Cushing from the turn of the 20th century. This time the desire for a font was stirred by Felici's article in CreativePro on fonts from the beginning of the 20th century, especially his captures of Cushing No. 2 and the version commissioned for Norwood press from ATF. I'm not interested in historically accurate reconstructions. My desire is for the general feel I get when I see a font. As a result, Bushing has little to do with Cushing (other than the last six letters). But it is a Serif font with small serifs and a huge x-height with a very open feel. I like it. I hope you do also. I made it into a limited display version of OpenType Pro. I added small caps and oldstyle figures, as I can hardly work without them. But ligatures seemed silly for this one.

Gordito is a graffiti style bubble font. A little chubby and hopefully a little cute. I wanted this to look fun and maybe like a vandal Smurf has started to ‘Tag’ the Smurf village. The font contains various Glyphs including the Euro symbol. Have Fun.

Sauce Grotesk is a compact typeface much like the classic unassuming sans serif grotesques but with softer features that shows fluidity and a sense of easiness. We wanted a typeface that can relate to a broader audience for maximum message clarity while maintaining aesthetic qualities.

This font from the same family as Scripio A and Scripio B. The truth it more likely their cousin, very much it is not similar to them. Though looks not so bad.

DT PaperType has evolved and morphed over time from quite distant origins. I previously created DT Paperside. It was neither Papyrus nor SSI Countryside, but was inspired in some ways by the Papyrus form, although untextured and smoother, and had the more open dimensions and proportions, similar to that of Countryside SSi, with its larger easily readable lowercase body, and more consistent, shorter stems. DT Paperside had an open scripted feel which was pleasing to the eye and easy to read. DT PaperType has since been crafted from of the original Paperside font. The Organic flow and comfortable form of Paperside has been retained, but it has been shifted very much from the feel of a script font, into a quality, extremely readable, organic and friendly, serif font, retaining its clarity, while adding a great deal of pose and class. This font is primarily suited to body text, and as such is extremely readable. It does however also make an excellent Display font, and comes with a full set of over sized Caps that drop below the line to stand out on a headline when required. Paperside can also automatically enhance the first letter of most sentences, and changes other letters to suit their position within words, and the letters they appear beside. Now comes with an italic that curves and softens various letters. For best results, use this ‘smart font’ with Contextual Ligatures turned on. Mulitiple Stylistic Alternatives are included. Inspiration for this fonts predecessor (Paperside) came from two other fonts. Beverly Hills is an all-caps display face in the Art Deco style. Its design features dramatically low crossbars, and each letter has a fine inline highlight. The most prominent letters in this typeface are clearly the E, F, G, and K, while the elegantly narrow S is sure to delight. A classy offering like Beverly Hills should only be set very large, either as a magazine headline, a store sign, or on the cover of a fine invitation. A Victorian type which, like so many others, was originally offered without a lowercase. As we do so often, we designed a matching lowercase for it. We also added a shaded version of the caps, figures and points of our earlier Vanities font. A nice companion face.

If a guitar-playing, hipster robot created a font, it might look like this. Perhaps you're charged with designing a poster for a guitar-playing, hipster robot. We recommend using this font. And alerting the media. Because a guitar-playing, hipster robot is pretty big news.

A very straight, geometric font which reminds me of the font on a display of a cash desk. Like most of the fonts at these display, this font is made up of a 6x10 matrix (capitals: 5x7). Hint: Insert Æ or ∂ to create a filled character (6x10).
