The award-winning Conrad was created by Japanese type designer Akira Kobayashi. John Baskerville (1706-1775) was an accomplished writing master and printer from Birmingham, England. The sources of inspiration for the Atyp typeface are spread out widely both stylistically and chronologically. The basic proportions of the uppercase refer to the elementary geometric constructions of the Bauhaus.
