Kuschelfraktur is a unique, eye-catching take on the theme of blackletter that replaces the broad nib with a brush pen and achieves stroke modulation through stencil-like gaps. It combines the texture and dignity of blackletter with the human warmth of informal handwriting. Kuschelfraktur offers five separate sets of capital letters and several additional customization option via stylistic alternates. The degree of ornamentation in the blackletter capitals can be increased (SS02) or decreased (SS07), while SS04 and SS05 offer two simpler approaches to capital letters that bridge from blackletter to Roman letters (Antiqua). The default single-storey �a� can be replaced with a two-storey version in SS01, and SS08 offers a single-storey capital �A� for the simple capitals. Finally, SS03 restores some of the more unique letter shapes of the Fraktur style of blackletter. The old-style figures can be replaced with lining and/or tabular figures. All these stylistic sets are accessible via OpenType from the main font, Kuschelfraktur, whereas the spin-off fonts (Traditional, Verziert, Text, Schlicht, Antiqua) offer convenient access to those sets even in environments without OpenType support. I have been walking around the streets of Bangkok with my good old film camera taking photos the way like back in the day. I think there is something magical and authentic in it. Guess what, the first day I went out with that camera I stumbled upon a place is called Fotoclub BKK they develop film rolls how cool is that! I shoot all the 36 photos at the Silom area, taking random photos most came out off centred subject, wrong settings, blurry just like the way I wanted! Soon after I was working on a handwritten script that is a perfect match to the overall topic of my stay in Bangkok so I named it after this exceptional adventure I have had here. The font contains all European diacritics and special characters, some double letter ligatures and stylistic alternates for better flow and more organic and natural look. This is a cute story about a mother and her son. :) About a decade ago my own mother got very interested in my work. She used to say my letters had so many swirls and dazzling swashes, and suggested my job seemed to be very fun. She wondered if she could ever try to make her own alphabet... Well, she is a civil engineer and a maths teacher, and appeared to be a little tired of exact sciences... I remember answering this, while she was listening with her typical tender look: -"Mamá... While type-design may be a really enjoyable thing to do, it also involves having a great eye and knowledge about the history of letters: nice curves and shapes require a meticulous study and, like it happens in many fields, practice makes perfect"-. Well, she raised her eyebrows at me. -"and so what?"- She didn't have any experience neither in the field of art nor in the field of graphic design so, I told her that if she really wanted to get into this she should borrow some of my calligraphic books from my beloved shelves in my office. So... she did. Some weeks after that, she came to me with many sketches made with pencils and markers: some letters where very nice and unique while others naturally needed some work. I remember she added ball terminals to all of her letters (even if they didn't need them) because that was one of the rules she imposed. After some back and forth, we had the basis for what would be today, ten years later, the seed of this lovely font Girasol. Her proposal was nice, something I was not accustomed to do, that’s why many years later I decided to watch it with fresh new eyes and finished it. While she was in charge of making the lowercase letters, I helped with the uppercase and also added my hallmark in the alternates, already seen in others of my expressive fonts. The result is an upright decorative font that follows the behavior of the copperplate nib with a naive touch that makes it really cute and useful for a wide range of products. Many alternates per glyph make Girasol a very fun to use font which will delight you. Above posters are a proof of that! A vintage printer's cut for the masthead of the "Fed-O-Gram" (a monthly publication of the Farm Bureau Federation, Inc.) had its title set in letters that emulated a moving message board. This design formed the basis for what is Moving Message JNL.

A bold, condensed slab serif face A July 9, 1935 trade paper ad for Paramount Pictures’ 1st quarter film releases sported hand lettering with chamfered slab serifs. This condensed type design is now available as Preferred Shares JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

The Victor Moscoso font is based on the 1960s psychedelic poster lettering of the artist Victor Moscoso. The letterforms are derived from some of his most celebrated Neon Rose posters of the late sixties, in particular the archetypical Moby Grape ‘Neptune’s Notion’ of 1967.

This all cap, bold, sans serif font features one face that slants backward ("Back") and one that slants forward ("Forth"). Use in combination to create headlines and designs that call for a sense of speed, motion and power. Uppercase and lowercase letters are the same.

MandyHand is a lighthearted handwriting font with a casual tone. Eckhardt Poster Display JNL continues Jeff Levine's series of lettering popularized by sign painters. Named in honor of Albert Eckhardt, Jr. - a good friend of Jeff's and a talented sign writer, this font is a traditional block style that's perfect for posters or headlines.

The 1897 ATF specimen book featured the pattern for this font, originally called Elzevir Gothic. Its friendly letter-forms and large x-height make it surprisingly contemporary in its presentation. Both versions support the Latin 1252, Central European 1250, Turkish 1254 and Baltic 1257 codepages.

A very heavy headline only typeface which should be typeset at rather large type sizes due to its fine counters. It’s the ideal typeface for building a brick-wall out of letters. Surprise is in the details, so play it loud and big! It’s fun.

Tallahassee Chassis JNL was modeled from a toy alphabet rubber stamp set made in Japan and imported to the U.S. during the late 1950s and early 1960s. The lettering style somewhat resembled that found on the side of old railroad cars, buses or trolleys.

Carimbo is probably one of the most handy dirty fonts around. It works well with most projects, creating that stamp-like effect, without being too much distressed. It has 2 uppercase variations, so you can combine letters without repeating them in the same word.

Sweet Titling No. 11 is a 2009 addition to the Sweet Collection of engraved lettering styles from the 20th Century. This obscure, art deco design would have been used for engraved letterhead, business cards, etc., and likely first appeared in the 1920s or ’30s.

Stonehouse is based on samples of Art Nouveau title lettering, adapted and expanded into a complete titling font. It has a nice intermediate weight ideal for titles on the web or in print, especially for section or topical headers within a body of text.

The hand lettered title on the cover of the 1934 sheet music for "What A Night" not only acted as a design model for What A Night JNL but also as its namesake. The digital type face is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Teethee is a font family dedicated to oral hygiene. The characters are made from toothbrushes, toothpaste and toothpaste tubes, and teeth. Both fonts in the family are caps only, but most letters on the lower-case keys differ from those on the upper case keys.

FG Typical is inspired by typewriting. But the letters got skewed in processing making it look a bit corny, but it looks great at small sizes as well as large. the characters all have the same height except for the i, å, ä etc.

The unusual hand lettering found on the 1945 sheet music for “Chinese Song” provided not only the design inspiration but the font’s name as well. A hybrid of Asian and Art Deco influences, Chinese Song JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Graceful, elegant, and at times eccentric, Homage Script was inspired by James Hellmuth’s hand-lettered design for the cover of “Homage to the Alphabet” — a gigantic tome produced in 1980 to provide full-showings of photolettering fonts available for traditional typesetting at Phil’s Photo.

Clarendon is the name of a slab-serif typeface that was released in 1845 by Thorowgood and Co. (or Thorowgood and Besley) of London, a letter foundry often known as the Fann Street Foundry. This current design is a somewhat condensed version of the font.

Wall Sign JNL is a sign painter's chamfered sanserif found in an instructional manual from 1905. A popular lettering style of the day, it features an abridged vertical on the G, a flattened right side on the Q and a truncated horizontal on the 3.

The range of subtle differences in the many different sized lettering stencils of the 1940s and 1950s allows for a wonderful library of authentic-looking stencil fonts. Storage JNL is another Roman (serif) type design by Jeff Levine and modeled from a 1950s stencil set.

Tuzonie imitates misprinted or degraded and distressed type. It especially imitates type where the outline has only small imperfections, (which at smaller sizes might even appear fairly-well defined) but where the imperfections in the interior of the letter shapes are more obvious and frequent.

Perfume Counter JNL was based on the hand lettered song title found on the 1938 sheet music for "At A Perfume Counter (On the Rue de la Paix)" from Billy Rose's New York revue "Casa Mañana", and is available in both regular and oblique versions.
