Started during 2012, LCT Palissade is a letter type belonging to the Didone classification. It takes over the Italian characters from the XVII century. Century affected by a huge artistic and industrial mutation, we assist to the eruption of the railroad network and Turner’s paintings. In typography, the Didones(XVIIe) begins to concede the place to the Egyptians XIXe. We noticed an evolution to rectangular drawings, that were heavier and darker. LCT Palissade is in fact the study of a history flow, crossing through the industrial revolution and romanticism; the result of a strong letter type, solid, strict the drawing is orientated towards very dark, reminiscent of the characters beginning XIXe. The serifs are the summary between the British characters from the end of (XVIe) and the Italian ones beginning of (XVIIe). In order to spread out the romanticism, they are very fine to allow a largest contrast and keep the elegance of the global shape.

Lu Nolasco, also known as Lunol, is a fresh representative of a new generation of Souther American lettering artists. She was born in Lima, Peru. After learning from some of the region’s best teachers and exploring the pointed nib on her own, she became a prolific lettering workshop instructor herself. This script font was inspired by a lot of manuscripts, notes and drafts, written by the famous french novelist Émile Zola (1840-1902). Specially, letters and notes from the period he was writting "Germinal" one of his very famous novel (published in 1884-1885) depicting the french minor's life in the past middle of eighteens. It is an elegant pen written type, sometimes connected, sometimes disrupted, but always regular and legible, with many variants, ligatures and contextual alternate glyphs specialy numerous in the OTF version. It is used as variously as web-site titles, posters and fliers design or greeting cards, all various sorts of presentations, menus, certificates, letters. This font, in spite of its small size, supports very strong enlargements as well as small sizes ( the original size was about 22 to 30 pts ). Sneakers was a typeface that I originally drew all the way back in 2005, with a release in 2006. Its most recent iteration, Sneakers Pro was released in 2009. Since then, the idea of reworking the design has lingered in the back of my head, but I wanted to add additional flexibility and value to anything offered beyond the originals. Sneakers Max does just that and I am happy to see it released and available to everyone. Sneakers Max raises the bar in terms of functionality… incorporating all of the options found in Sneakers Pro (e.g. Small Caps and a biform/unicase located now in Titling Alternates), but it expands the character offering, improves on letter designs (everything was redrawn) and explores more flexible settings by providing 5 distinct counter widths to keep more uniform multi-line settings with mixed letter heights.
