Comenia was developed as typographic system for use on all levels of schools and universities. Margaux is an elegant, smooth, disciplined italic font, based on French fonts of the early 20th century. It evokes Paris in her heyday - culture, romance, and sophistication. Margaux is beautifully crafted, with simple, neat lower case characters, and upper case characters that are elegant but decoratively curled. This font lends itself to the creation of romantic adverts, wedding stationery, greeting cards, theatre posters, romantic book covers, certificates. Designed by Francesco Simoncini and W. Bilz, this design follows Times New Roman in structure, but differs in some details. Unlike Times New Roman, the boldface is a weighted version of the roman.

The famous lettering “Capital Trajana” (inscription at the bottom of the column that bears its name erected in the year114 A.D.) is usually identified as the classic example that defines Imperial Capital forms. However, much earlier, there were already countless examples of Greco-Roman epigraphy of excellent execution, as evidenced by the monumental inscriptions from year 2 b.C. sculpted in the Portico di Gaio e Lucio Cesari in front of the facade of the Basilica Emilia, in the Roman Forum, erected by Augustus, dedicated to his two grandchildren for propaganda and dynastic needs. It has been more than two thousand years and the forms of these letters are still part of our daily life, product of their qualities of readability and beauty. It is probably the added semantic value that have made them an icon full of symbolism that expresses majesty, monumentality, order and universal power. Numerous authors, calligraphers and designers have studied this legacy such as Giovanni Francesco Cresci, Edward Catich, L.C. Evetts, Armando Petrucci, Carol Twombly, John Stevens, Claude Mediavilla, just to name a few. Marcus Traianus font is a fitted version of the two models mentioned, which is accompanied by Small Caps, lowercase (carolingas) and a set of numbers (Indo-Arabics) in addition to the Romans figures and diacritics for Central European languages Marcus Traianus is presented in two weight: Regular, Italic, Bold and ExtraBold.

Another variant of Bayer’s Universal Alphabet, resembling ITC Bauhaus in design, ITC Ronda in proportion and fit, prepared by FotoStar in the mid 1970s.

Veteran designer Bo Berndal has created Cartesius, an oldstyle serif typeface with roots in the 16th and 17th centuries, France and Venice. Bo Berndal: "Rene Decartes, the great French philosopher, was invited to Sweden in the 17th century, when the country was at the height of its power. In the university city of Uppsala he used the Latin name form Cartesius. The typeface that carries his name is inspired by letterforms from the 1600s, but upper case letters are of pure Roman type". Cartesius holds up well even under less than perfect circumstances, and is suitable for magazine and book design. It comes with a full range of styles, including small caps. Swedish type foundry T4 premiere new fonts every month. Cartesius is our fifth introduction.

Playing with old rub-on letters led to this alphabet. On the Letraset sheets (the older ones still remember...) there were always letters left over that were never or rarely used. I sometimes let interns play with it. To explain, I first rubbed an example myself. Two y's from a Helvetica made a pretty shape. Looking closely, you see a contoured, italic N. I developed the HGB Ypsilon font from this N. A purely decorative typeface – it could be interesting for some logo.

Gessetto is an extensive chalk font family, containing script, sans, roman, figures and ornaments. One of the things most charming about chalkboard lettering is the variation; in both texture and style. Our goal was to achieve a real chalk effect using the varied typographic genres in a digital format. With flexibility and control for the designer in mind, we built a digital chalk toolkit. The script is a fusion of Italic Roman and cursive, it contains swashy alternates for each capital letters with some long and extended flair on some ascendent and descendent letters. An all caps high contrast sans is in 5 complimentary styles. The Roman is precisely proportioned and maintains elegance while being bold. There is a set of Figures and ornaments. Gessetto is perfect to grab attention on signage, print advertising and editorial applications like book covers, but suits branding applications too. This font was inspired by one of Antoine Augereau's three roman typefaces: the Gros Romain (±16 Pts) size, used in 1533 to print Le miroir de l'âme..., a religious poetic compilation by Marguerite de Navarre, sister of the French king François the first. It seems possible that Augereau may have also engraved italic styles. This alphabet, with its complete small caps collection, is covering all West, East and Central European languages (including Baltic and Celtic) and Turkish.

This quirky little number is based on a typeface originally named Turtle, which made a very brief appearance in Letraset's product line catalog in the 1970s. Admittedly, its uses are limited, but its cryptic and playful nature will reward those with imagination. Both versions of this font include the complete Latin 1252, Central European 1250 and Turkish 1254 character sets.

Squarish could have been the Universe or Helvetica of the 1980's, if only it was designed then. Now it is just a little quirky gridded typeface.

Frederic Goudy designed Californian as a private commission for the University of California at Berkeley in 1939. The first Commercial release was by Lanston Monotype in 1958.

Express 18 is a sans-serif with open forms and optically balanced noticeable contrast. typeface is designed for universal use. supports extended latin and open type function.

Zipper is a striking font designed in 1970 by Phillip Kelly for the Letraset dry transfer sheets and it shows itself as a true child of the 1970s. The most distinguishing characteristic is the markedly robust horizontal stroke, heavier by far than the verticals. In a line of text, the figures present a close, stripe-like line, strongly dominated by the horizontal. Zipper is meant exclusively as a headline font and should be used in larger point sizes to highlight its unique, eye-catching characteristics.

Bronx is a contemporary, highly stylized script typeface that captures the effect of quickly rendered brush lettering. The capitals are intended only for initialing purposes but may be joined with the lowercase letters, which can be linked together to reproduce the look of handwriting. This design has great potential for use in work associated with the fashion industry. British designer David Quay originally produced Bronx for Letraset in 1986, and it is just one of the many styles of type developed by this talented and renowned designer.

Bungehuis font was modeled on the lettering found on an Amsterdam art deco building from 1931. This building on the Spuistraat, also called "Het Bungehuis", used to house offices, but is now part of the University of Amsterdam. In 2015 it had its brief moment of fame, when students, demanding more democracy at the University, occupied it. Bungehuis is a heavy art deco font and would look great on posters and in headlines. It comes with a rather democratic range of diacritics.

Architype Universal is a collection of avant-garde typefaces deriving mainly from the work of artists/designers of the inter-war years, whose ideals underpin the design philosophies of the modernist movement in Europe. Their ‘universal’, ‘single alphabet’ theory limits the character sets. Architype Tschichold is a faithful rendering of Jan Tschichold’s 1929 experimental alphabet which was influenced by Bayer’s single-alphabet. His design was never put into production. This re-creates his original geometrically constructed design, including some phonetic characters.

Arnold Therhoernen. (Arnoldus ther Hornen, Drucker des Dictys , Arnold ter Hoernen, Arnold ther Hoernen, Arnoldus TherHornen.) Who was this guy? He was a printer active in the city of Cologne, having graduating from the university there. He learned his craft under Ulrich Zell. He printed books from 1470 to 1482 when the plague carried him off. Was he just another printer of the era? No, he brought out the first edition of the "Fasciculus temporum'' (The most popular work by a living author at that time.) And he was the first to use both a title page and page numbers. His page numbers, an idea probably suggested to him by Werner Rolevinck, were interesting in that they were centered half way down the page on the outer margin and were set in Roman Numerals.
