Macis is a real-and-fake-retro-modern font-family containing five weights from thin to black. It is inspired by shop signs, packaging and typography from around the middle of 20th century. Though it is strictly geometrically constructed, it contains some hand-crafted influences as well as some irregularities. Some say, it dances on the baseline, ’cause the bowls and curves reach far out over the stems. Use it in big sizes, especially the extreme weights!

Kelpt Sans is an altered modified from the form of the original Kelpt typeface. Designed to be more Corporate, the font family has flat terminals that harmonizes with sharp corners. The object of Grover was to join two distinctive typeface designs: the basic European gothic of the late nineteenth century and the ‘rounded’ style found in 1960s America. The result is a clear, friendly face with subtle yet unforgettable features. Named after Grover Washington, Jr., the jazz saxophone player, Grover is geometrically constructed and yet very human in appearance. Carlos Winkow designed Reporter in 1938 for the Wagner foundry. The strokes of this interesting script have the texture of dry brushwritten letters. The alignment is slightly irregular, giving it a spontaneous feeling. Reporter No. 2 is a slightly simplified version of the original Reporter, without the numerous small white strokes inside its stems, which gave the original a scribbly effect. Jill Bell's typefaces are energetic, highly decorative, and refreshingly unpredictable. Some are friendly and childlike, while others are rough and nervous. Her latest creation is ITC Swank, a connected script whose shabby-chic" sophistication communicates a worn elegance. Bell begins the design process "with black stuff on white paper," she explains, preferring to draw letters before she digitizes them. Often the inspiration for her typefaces comes from a piece of hand-lettering. "Bruno began as a reminder to buy cat food," she says, "and ITC Swank started out as a small bit of lettering for Wurlitzer Pianos." Bell finds that working with blocks of lettering is a good start for script typefaces. "If I'm drawing a script typeface, I have to write out sentences in the letters first," she explains. "Drawing each letter separately doesn't establish the flow and spontaneity that scripts deserve." Bell's newest design is ITC Swank. Life’s always more fun when you reverse the stress. The same goes for the new member of the Cabrito family. Cabrito itself is a recently developed slab serif made for the kid’s book The Clothes Letters Wear. Cabrito proved to be more popular than I thought, and I promised I would create an inverted style for this new addition to the font world--a variant that would pair well with the original or even stand well on its own. And so now, here it is. Cabrito Inverto, which features the reversed stress of the strokes from a font’s “normal” traits. Inverted stress fonts are most often associated with cowboys and the Old West. The inverted stress gives it a happy-go-lucky appearance, not to be taken too seriously. It’s a pleasantly rounded, not-so-strictly geometric typeface with handwriting-inspired forms. Whew, that’s a mouthful! Inverto’s bundle of alternates is accessible in any OpenType-enabled program. It started in 2007 with Chennai, the first of a three-part series of sans that I envisioned with slab serif counterparts. Each font would differ from the others in how the stem terminals were expressed. The initial font was extremely well received, and a revitalized and remastered Chennai made its appearance two years later, complete with new weights and new, novel OpenType features. Then came Madurai, a variation of Chennai based on the same core, only without the rounded stems. Chennai’s rounded stems made it distinctive and great for headlines but left it lacking appeal as copy--a problem that Madurai easily solved. And now comes Sangli, the final iteration of my original 2007 vision. Sangli is a happy medium. Like Chennai, it’s great for headlines--but not too distinct for copy. Sangli keeps the same core structure as the other two, but new less sharp forms give this latest font a friendlier look that’s more versatile than the original Chennai and less formal than Madurai. The font includes a whole range of six weights from light to black, along with condensed and extended options as well for a total of 54 fonts. There are plenty of OpenType features, including small caps. Alternates include normalized capitals and lowercase letters that include stems for when you want a more traditional look or when you’re writing copy. Sangli also supports over 70 languages that use the extended Latin script. Use Chennai, Madurai, and their slab serif variants interchangeably with Sangli, too, for even more options in your work. Konga has gone through different changes, the first idea was born in 2014 with the help of Andrey Kudryavtsev, then some time passed and the Rough version was developed, and a long time passed and in 2022 the idea of redesigning was taken with Bruno Jara, in addition to making many styles such as Rough, Inline, Shadow, as well as dingbats which was based on Stefania Ahumada's graphics, which results in a family of 6 styles, with different Alternatives, perfect for informal titles.

Boris Mahovac has adapted a friend’s handwriting in this new font called Kloi (pronounced Chlo – ee). It has a very casual feel and includes alternative swash glyphs of some key characters as well as some extra ligatures. Taking advantage of the ligature and contextual swash features in OpenType, the alternate glyphs automatically replace the standard glyphs when appropriate, creating a very unique look. Available in PostScript OpenType format, Kloi’s extended glyph set covers the Western and Central European, Baltic and Turkish languages.

I really like the UK and I quite enjoy the British slang. Off Yer Trolley is one such expression. It means ‘behaving in an unusual way or doing something silly’. It just popped in my head when I was looking for a name for this rather silly font. Off Yer Trolley is a handmade cartoon or kids font. As the name implies, this font certainly behaves in an unusual way and you can use it for something silly as well!

A couple of weeks ago, I found my ink well, which I thought I had lost. I decided (there and then) to create a bunch of inky brush fonts, which resulted in Dirrrty and Scrawny Cat. And now, needless to say, Garden Bed. It is named after a strophe from one of my favorite Soundgarden songs: Just Like Suicide. Garden Bed is a hand made didone-ish font, with a very irregular baseline, some interesting glyphs and a secret garden filled with diacritics.

Winterberry (Ilex verticillata) is a species of holly, native to the USA and Canada. I thought it was a rather cool name (pun intended) for a messy script font made during a cold spell. Winterberry was created using Chinese ink and a crappy brush - hence its messy appearance. Use Winterberry on your alt-Christmas invitations, your fantasy novels, your rock albums or your website! You’ll love it! Comes with a bunch of diacritics and some ripe double letter ligatures as well.

ALS Ekibastuz is a contemporary urban-style typeface extremely suitable for periodicals and advertising. It has defined, open, clear-cut letterforms and modern proportions. Originally designed to work well for headings, Ekibastuz was developed further to give a distinct energetic feel when used at large sizes and be highly readable and neutral at small sizes. The Zapf Dingbats originally had been a selection of 360 symbols, ornaments and typographic elements from over 1200 designs. Sometimes you may be picky about your choices: What’s for dinner? Where are we going for vacation? Vanilla or chocolate? Which font suits this product the best? The answers are many, but on that last question, the answer could be Picky Action - because of the super clean and smooth letters, that goes well with anything that needs a fresh, legible and loose look (without being to loose!) Karolina is a calligraphic serif font. It is inspired by Edward Johnstons (1872–1944) calligraphy and the foundational hand (which was based on the carolingian letters and therefore the name Karolina). The Uppercase letters are based on the perfect proportioned roman capitals. Karolina is a classic and clean typeface with smooth shapes that will give an elegant touch to your projects. It is suitable for formal use and works well both for headlines and as body text in smaller sizes.

A paper-clip-inspired typeface with character. Agrafa is a technical but versatile display face that works well in both large and small sizes. Most of the glyphs are made from one continuous line and shows the constraints of bending a paperclip/wire. The family consist of four weights, Hairline, Thin, Light and Book, last three also comes with an oblique companion. While Hairline works best for setting large headlines/words, the Book weight can be used even for small size texts.

Inky Fingers… Well, the name says it all! This rather obese font was made by hand (literally) using my index finger, some sheets of paper and a lot of Chinese ink. As the eco-paper absorbed quite a lot of ink, I had to do a second ink-run! Inky Fingers is a very legible typeface, ideal for headlines, books and posters. It comes with Babylonian language support - including the Schwa/schwa glyphs for the Azeri speaking crowd. Ain't I nice?
