TwentyFourNinetyOne [2491] is a reinterpretation of the alphabet of 1919 by Theo van Doesburg; the original a true rendering of the thinking of the Dutch-based art movement “de Stijl.” Jump forward to 1980 and prop lettering used on the Buck Rogers in the 25th Century television series; a vernacular typeface that was a utilitarian mix of geometry and pixel-based forms, used to symbolize the futuristic universe of 2491. At times it would appear on spaceships, laser guns, signage at space ports or in one episode, a Spandex tapestry. It only seemed logical to combine and rethink the letterforms, add ligatures + other extras, and see what the results would be. Of all student work produced in Joost Schmidt?s Bauhaus classes, Reinhold Rossig?s (1903?1979) alphabet designs are perhaps closest to his master?s teachings: monolinear, geometric lettering, constructed on grids using compass and ruler. Drafts by Rossig, dated 1929, also demonstrate explorations of letterform width and x-height. Almost ninety years later, Elia Preuss carefully preserves Rossig?s letters and considerations in a proper typeface, by overcoming most of the optical mistakes captured in true geometric letterforms. To carry Rossig?s design further away from Schmidt?s influence, Preuss also lent more characteristic letters found on poster designs by fellow Bauhaus student Hermann Werner Kubsch. Reross is a true Bauhaus-influenced geometric sans, equipped with different historic influences and contemporary features.

Linotype Flamingo, from German designer Michael Leonhard, is part of the TakeType Library, chosen from the entries of the Linotype-sponsored International Digital Type Design Contest 1999 for inclusion on the TakeType 3 CD. The figures of this font have pieces missing, the curve of an a, the stroke of an n. The eye fills in the gaps, allowing the designer to present a unique font with reductionist forms which can still communicate written ideas to the reader. A small number of forms come together to create the alphabet and the 'missing pieces' make a light and airy overall impression. Linotype Flamingo should be used in point sizes of 18 and larger and because of reduced legibility should be used only for very short texts.

A friend once asked, was I trying to design a font that looked sort of �Korean?� I said no, I was trying to mess up the Latin alphabet. So, here it is: After 5, a bold, upright condensed slab-serif display typeface with a mixed-up attitude. Complete with bold roman and matching italics. This attention getting font is ideal for Posters, headlines, Packaging and logos.

As a font designer for films Henning Brehm delivers fonts with a whip-sharp eye for precision. His latest Vette Letters release, VLNL Agitka is a Cyrillic-inspired (and including) alphabet with both feet rooted in Soviet Union-era propaganda posters. Its design is constructivist (look Mom, no curves!) geometric and strong. Like Russian vodka. Aside from the Regular, Light, Bold and Black weights, Agitka comes in four Neon styles as well. You can use Anelo from a LaTeX equation (there are 117 Greek/Coptic glyphs; please see image #6 in the gallery for an example of an Anelo/Computer Modern combination) to billboards and traffic signs. Its crisp, upright, handmade aspect takes communication to a direct and personal level. Anelo has some important OpenType features, like kerning, standard ligatures, old style/tabular/proportional figures and diagonal fractions. There are 25 currency symbols, including Euro ₠ €, Shekel ₪ and Bitcoin ₿. Each Anelo style has a condensed version, which gives room to many interesting combinations. Rabbits is a super emotional hand-written font family that unites 10 different fonts. We’ve united these fonts with one common theme - childhood. Use these fonts to create any products for kids — children’s books layouts, mobile applications for children, as well as nursery interior design. We’ve given each rabbit a unique name. The names are arranged as the first 10 letters of the Latin alphabet: A — April, B — Bro, C — Chili, D — Dummy, E — Elf, F — Fatso, G— Goody, H — Hyper, I — Idol, J — Junior. Each rabbit has its own character, and you’ll definitely like Rabbits because of that. We’ve used an individual writing tool for every font. The Roman alphabet has seen endless variations in interpretations of its classical form, and various wood type styles managed to explore everything from XXX condensed to hyper extended and expanded. This delicate and handsomely proportioned extended Roman was issued by Page Manufacturing Co. in 1872 and released as simply “No. 251” after Page was acquired by Hamilton. It is a rare font to find in print shops, most likely due to the very fine lines that would no doubt be less durable that bolder gothic jobbing fonts. While being quite wide, it still holds the elegant grace of wide Romans such as Craw Modern. This new digitization features a full Western and Eastern European Character set as well as ligatures and alternate characters.
