Tinteretto is a very beautiful, decorative Art-d�co font which is ideal for ad design about fine arts events and the world of arts and crafts as well as in restaurants, bars and for food packaging. Tintoretto harmonizes well with serif and sans serif fonts created at the beginning of the last century. It contains character sets for West and Central European as well as for Romania and Turkey. When Unger started his work on Tintoretto, he had the splendid idea of adding a Fill version to the original 3D characters. Combining both fonts make it even stronger and more beautiful. How to combine both fonts in order to achieve a color fill effect: Type your word or phrase and do not make any changes to the spacing or kerning. Duplicate or copy the original and change it to the Fill version (font change). Apply a color to the copy and position it exactly behind the original. See and love the result.

Neon Bugler is a font based on the third logo created by Harry Warren in early 1975 for his sixth grade class newsletter, The Broadwater Bugler, at Broadwater Academy in Exmore, Virginia, on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. This font design has these principles as its parameters: The letters generally follow what would be natural stroke directions; no sharp corners, all gentle turns; no lines back up over each other, cross each other, or run into each other. All of this civility between the lines produces an unintentional but welcome neon quality about it. Designed in 1950s Japan by Okanao & Kushiro, the perfect partnership until artistic temperaments drove them apart. The duo spent years crafting the font with the working title “Messenjā”, Okanao bringing technical expertise to craft letterforms, while Kushiro made it his life, obsessively working late into the night to check pages for errors. For him the project was never about making money, it was an artistic endeavor to reprint the great Western works of literature. When he found out Okanao had secretly sold the rights to the font for use as a logo for a major Japanese manufacturer, Kushiro burned all evidence of the designs in a fit of passionate fury. The two reportedly never spoke again. “Messenjā” was thought lost forever until a type specimen was discovered in a vintage typewriter box bought on eBay. Now redrawn and available as 57-nao, a faithful and beautifully crafted monospace characterized by what is considered Okanao’s defining moment, the angular loop on the lowercase ‘a’.

ITC Berkeley Old Style is based on a typeface designed by Frederic W. Goudy in 1938 called University of California Old Style. It was a private press type for the publishing house of that school. In 1958, about ten years after Goudy's death, Monotype re-issued the type under the name Californian, and it became a very successful face for book typography. Goudy himself said he designed this face to have the greatest legibility possible, and it is indeed free from the exuberances in some of his other faces. Tony Stan redrew the family for ITC for 1983, and it was named ITC Berkeley Old Style, Berkeley being the city where the University of California Press is located. Stan did a careful drawing of eight styles including italics. Hela is a high contrast rounded font with interpolation twist. I have a personal saying that fits this font: So long you drive around nice lettering, until you digitize it. Hela comes from lettering of an old Czech textile company called Helana, which does not exist anymore, but the signage is still on the building. The weird thing on this font is that it does not add weight on every stem from Light to Black as usual, but rather adds more and more black stems to the light skeleton. Another nice thing about this font is that it does not include unnecessary glyphs. So there are just 10 figures - you don't have to think which one is the correct figure kind for you. Lydia (Lydian: ‎𐤮𐤱𐤠𐤭𐤣𐤠, Śfarda; Aramaic: Lydia; Greek: Λυδία, Lȳdíā; Turkish: Lidya) was an Iron Age kingdom of western Asia Minor located generally east of ancient Ionia in the modern western Turkish provinces of Uşak, Manisa and inland Izmir. The ethnic group inhabiting this kingdom are known as the Lydians, and their language, known as Lydian, was a member of the Anatolian branch of the Indo-European language family. The capital of Lydia was Sardis. The Kingdom of Lydia existed from about 1200 BC to 546 BC. At its greatest extent, during the 7th century BC, it covered all of western Anatolia. In 546 BC, it became a province of the Achaemenid Persian Empire, known as the satrapy of Lydia or Sparda in Old Persian. In 133 BC, it became part of the Roman province of Asia. Lydian coins, made of silver, are among the oldest coins in existence, dated to around the 7th century BC.

Aldine 401 is a Bitstream version of Bembo type family. It was designed on the base of artwork of Francesco Griffo for Aldus Manutius. Originally the font appeared in “De Aetna” in 1495 — the book by Pietro Bembo about his journey to Mount Etna. Griffo’s design was one of the first old style typefaces followed by Garamond. It was the forerunner for the standard text types in Europe for the next two centuries. A modern version of Bembo was designed at Monotype under the supervision of Stanley Morison in 1929. Aldine 401 is still very popular in book design due to its well-proportioned classic letterforms and lack of peculiarities. Italic was based on the handwriting of Giovanni Tagliente. Books and other texts set in Aldine 401 can encompass a large variety of subjects and formats because of its classical beauty and high readability. Cyrillic version was developed by Isabella Chaeva and released by ParaType in 2008.

This script font was inspired by a lot of autographs, notes and drafts, written by President Abraham Lincoln, mainly the Gettysburg address, first draft and copies, but also the emancipation proclamation. It is an attempt to offer a typical manual script from this American period, not to propose the exact writing from A. Lincoln himself. This font is a little fat and monotone, maybe Abraham Lincoln used a smooth or rounded pen, but some letters I have consulted were written obviously with a sharp one, so, in the future, I will certainly produce a slim version of this font. It is used as variously as web-site titles, posters and fliers design or greeting cards, all various sorts of presentations, menus, certificates, letters. This font supports enlargement as well as small size, though the original size was about 18 to 24 pts. When printed, it remain perfectly legible from 10 to 12 pts.

There is an interesting story about this vintage professional Mercedes typewriter I’ve used to make this font. My grandfather, who was a Yugoslavian partisan during the WWII captured it from a Wehrmacht command building during an attack, and he kept it in a perfect shape for so many years. After I inherited it, I wanted to share it’s uniqueness (as well as it’s story). I’ve intentionally kept it in it’s original condition - I haven’t replaced the ribbon that was some 34 years old (or more) before sampling the font, and it turned out really nice. One more important thing - I have used ONLY it’s original set of characters (Latin with some Balkan-based letters). With it’s untouched originality and uniqueness it fits to our modern culture perfectly. There are no compromises here - there are no popular @,#,$ and other characters you would expect in a font. You will get EXACTLY what’s on this genuine “Mercedes” typewriter with so much soul.

Softrobo Pro is the further development of Softrobo font provided by Koval Type Foundry in 2008. Provided in 3 most popular formats: OpenType PS, TrueType and Type1. I am (trying to) learn Danish using an app on my phone. The grammar and vocabulary are not that difficult, as the Danish language is very close to the Dutch language. The pronunciation, however, is quite tricky. Words look simple when written down, but when pronounced, they sound very different. Take ‘pige’ (‘girl’) - it reads ‘pee-guh’, right? Well, it is pronounced ‘pee-uh’. Or how about ‘brød’ (meaning bread)? If you keep in mind that the o-slash is pronounced as the ‘i’ in bird - almost like ‘uh’, it should be br-uh-d, right? Wrong again. It is pronounced br-uh-l. Aaargghh! I will succeed, hopefully! Utroligt is a Danish word meaning ‘incredible’. It is a nice, uncomplicated all caps font. I made it with a cheap rollerball pen and some nice French paper. Comes with double letter ligatures and all the diacritics you’d like - including the danish ones.

The design of Rosenbaum started with the idea of an eclectic merger of didone stroke pattern and contrast, uncial letterforms and blackletter appearance. It was a destillation experiment. It happened around christmas in 2011. The result is a unique typeface which strongly evokes a peculiar pastiche mood without being any historical in the strict sense of the word. It’s all about the fun to mix ingredients and to freely create reminiscences in a new way. Rosenbaum is a typeface like a fairytale – one of a kind, strangely poetic and incredibly true at once… Use Rosenbaum for emotional typographics, for fairytale books and stories, for headings and invitations, for distinctive labels or menu cards, for Wave Gothic publishing … you will know best! The Charles Bluemlein Script Collection is an intriguing reminder of the heady days of hand lettering and calligraphy in the United States. From the early 1930s through World War II, there were about 200 professional hand letterers working in New York City alone. This occupation saw its demise with the advent of photo lettering, and after digital typography, became virtually extinct. The odd way in which the Bluemlein scripts were assembled and created - by collecting different signatures and then building complete alphabets from them - is a fascinating calligraphic adventure. Because the set of constructed designs looked nothing like the original signatures, fictitious names were assigned to the new script typefaces. The typeface styles were then showcased in Higgins Ink catalogs. Alejandro Paul and Sudtipos bring the Bluemlein scripts back to life in a set of expanded digital versions, reflecting the demands of today’s designer. Extreme care has been taken to render the original scripts authentically, keeping the fictitious names originally assigned to them by Bluemlein.

This script font was inspired by a lot of manuscripts, notes and drafts, written by the famous french novelist Émile Zola (1840-1902). Specially, letters and notes from the period he was writting "Germinal" one of his very famous novel (published in 1884-1885) depicting the french minor's life in the past middle of eighteens. It is an elegant pen written type, sometimes connected, sometimes disrupted, but always regular and legible, with many variants, ligatures and contextual alternate glyphs specialy numerous in the OTF version. It is used as variously as web-site titles, posters and fliers design or greeting cards, all various sorts of presentations, menus, certificates, letters. This font, in spite of its small size, supports very strong enlargements as well as small sizes ( the original size was about 22 to 30 pts ). When printed, it remain perfectly legible and elegant from 12/14 pts even if using an ordinary inkjet printer.

Neon Bugler Squared is a soft, boxy version of Neon Bugler, which is a font based on the third logo created by Harry Warren in early 1975 for his sixth grade class newsletter, The Broadwater Bugler, at Broadwater Academy in Exmore, Virginia, on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. This font design has these principles as its parameters: The letters generally follow what would be natural stroke directions; no sharp corners, all gentle turns; no lines back up over each other, cross each other, or run into each other. All of this civility between the lines produces an unintentional but welcome neon quality about it. This font can have a variety of vibes depending on its context-it has a certain nostalgia to it, yet it also has a slick, clean, futuristic, sci-fi look. It can even be used in a semi-grunge setting.
