LoveDuets is a family of two novelty fonts that have letters on hearts. There are at least five other font families on myfonts that have have letters on hearts but LoveDuets differs from them because it uses the OpenType feature of Contextual Alternatives (calt) to put two letters on each heart, one on the left side and a second on the right side. The two styles in the family can be used in layers to increase color possibilities. The brace characters have empty half hearts that can be used to replace spaces or to complete hearts at ends of lines. LoveDuets can be used when hearts are appropriate such as for Valentines Day, anniversaries, and weddings.

Created by Chank in 1992, Ribjoint was Chank’s first attempt at creating a Egyptian, cursive font on the computer. Writing cursive with a pencil sure is easy, but getting all the letters to link up correctly in computerized font format is a bit tricky. Not the most graceful script in the world, but it works good enough for a BBQ pit.

The movie poster for the 1952 bank heist drama “Kansas City Confidential” had its title hand lettered in a condensed serif stencil design. This inspired Secret Operation JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

A typeface that shows its root in stencil lettering. Dario Muhafara created a modern sans serif type family which is ideally suited for cool, technical themes. A small caps font offer a widely usage in book production.

This stencil font, inspired by a fleeting glimpse of a Bronx plumber’s van seen through the rain-spattered window of a New York taxi, is evocative of urban grit, knock-down warehouse bargains and military supplies labeling.

Madromit(ma-do-ro-mi) is a somewhat nostalgic display font. Do you remember computer advertisements in the 80s and 90s? Yes, it is the most excited period in the history of computer. We call the design in this period Primitive Digital Design. Madromit is, so to speak, the revival or reconstruction of the primitive digital type in the period. The structure and elements of this font are very simple and the key features are geometric shape and simple griddy design with rounded corners, oval bowls, and right‐angled joints which we used to see in the primitive period. In addition to this, Madromit has one more characteristic feature — classic engraving font —. It is called Open Style. Open style is one of the classic method to decorate and emphasize the font. Our aim is the synergy by the mixture of primitive digital design and classic engraving method. This mixture makes new impression we have never seen before. Madromit family consists of 5 styles for stacking color font. Please use Photoshop or Illustrator, or your favorite graphic design apps that can handle layers. Layers are the printing plates of wood type. You should be able to change text color for each layers. Madromit "Standard" style is the base of this font family. You can add open effect by stacking "Fill" layers over the Standard layer. Instruction 1. Type your text as you like. 2. Set font-name "Madromit" and font-style "Standard". 3. Set color of "Standard" layer. 4. Duplicate the "Standard" layer to make "Fill" layer. 5. Set font-style "Half Fill" or "Full Fill" and new color of upper layer. Madromit Standard, Half Open, and Full Open style can be used solely.

Sometimes type designs are set aside as one project takes priority over another and occasionally it becomes overlooked. One such example is a set of extra bold, sans serif stencil characters drawn out in 2017. Regrettably, as much time has passed, no backstory can be applied to this typeface. It was checked against existing releases in the Jeff Levine Fonts library and didn’t seem to have been re-worked for any subsequent release. With this in mind, Baggage Claim JNL makes its belated appearance and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

This is not a stencil font. At least it isn't intended to be. The foundation for the entire font comes from a progression in experimental rules on stroke intersections (pinching, separating) while maintaining proportions and elements from a more conventional typeface. More latitude was given to the unicase "Fat" face but still retains the overall flavor of the original. The end result is a typeface that's hard to categorize as any one personality. Most likely a good candidate for logo, display, or headline work, the applications for Encoder are yet undeciphered.

Dirty Baker’s Dozen, was released in 1998 and has since become the gold standard in raunchy stencil fonts. This version of Dirty Baker’s Dozen is pants-full of handy symbols, fractions, accents and what not. Need numeric ordinals? Probably not, but if you do, Dirty Baker’s Dozen will be there with boots on and numeric ordinals a-blazing. Two new styles were introduced in 2009: Scorch & Spraypaint. When you're using Scorch or Spraypaint styles in an OpenType savvy application, common letter pairs will be automatically replaced by custom pairs for a more realistic, filthy effect.

The Crepes is a layered type family consisted of 25 effect layer fonts. The basic shape of Crepes is re-designed based on 'Geon' and lower-case letters are replaced to small-capitals. Endless effects can be created by combining each of different colored layer fonts. Variety of check and stripe patterns can be made with 9 stripe layer fonts. The Open Type fonts contain complete Latin 1252, Central European 1250, Turkish 1254 character sets. Each font includes proportional figures, old-style figures, tabular figures, numerators, denominators, superscript, scientific inferiors, subscript, fractions and case features. We highly recommend it for use in headlines, logotypes, signs, posters, greeting cards, letterhead, t-shirts and so on.

Patriotica JNL was inspired by some hand lettering designed by the late Alf Becker for Signs of the Times® magazine. The alphabet was modified and the character set extended in this digital version. Special thanks to Tod Swormstedt of ST Publications, Inc. and the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati for providing a copy of the original lettering for use as a work model. Patriotica JNL is available as a complete font or in a set of two layers (stars layer and stripes layer) for creating two-color graphics. As always, keep in mind that there are some slight variations between drawing programs, so some adjustments may need to be made in the alignment of the layers.

I have always been fascinated by the ‘Full English Breakfast’. A Full English usually consists of toast, baked beans, sausages, fried eggs, fried tomatoes, fried mushrooms and sometimes blackpudding (a kind of sausage made from pig’s blood). When I lived in England, my friends were always quite happy to stow away a big full breakfast, but I, on the other hand, could not really set myself to eating one. Full English is a hand made stencil font. If you own a pub and you serve breakfast, you could use it for your signs, but I guess this font looks good on anything that needs a bit of attention. For attention, it will get!

Burford is a font family that I sketched while traveling through Europe. I was mesmerized by all the unique typography that was showcased throughout the five countries I visited. Inspired by all that I had seen, I found myself spending 4-5 hours per day in Amsterdam’s Vondel Park drawing characters. Once back in the states I digitalized Burford, deciding it would make for a beautiful layer-based font. My son Konstantin wants to become a cook. So I thought it would be a nice idea if I designed a script for his fabulous future menus as a gift for him. I think he will become a great cook. The three Konstantin cuts can be mixed. The A cut has the most straightforward letterforms, the B cut has more swashes in the capitals and swinging descenders and last but not least, the C cut gives you some fancy lowercase letters. All three cuts have different numerals. If you mix the fonts be careful not to overdo things, mostly - even with scripts - less is more. Your family designer Gert

Barranco is a 3d layered fontfamily of 3 weights (thin, medium, black), plus shadows and one inline effect layer. It’s inspired by the caps neo-humanist typefaces of the 80’s with a mix of new trends such as the new layered typefaces and super heavy font families. Each font also comes with a set of Stylistic Alternatives for letters A I K W Q, and extensive language support. Barranco is really nice for magazines design, trademarks, logos and posters.

Contentor is a display type originated in the habour and made for long journeys. Inspired by the industrial lettering on containers, hardcases and boxes, Contentor and Contentor Stencil are a condensed and bold typeface fit for any voyage.

Silly, as the name suggest, is a somewhat silly font with uppercase letters and it is based on the characteristic expression of the stencil shape. FP Silly is available in two versions, with either rounded or angular shapes.

Jeff Levine Fonts offers its interpretation of Tea Chest, an Art Deco serif stencil font originally designed in 1939 by Robert Harling for the Stephenson-Blake type foundry. Pekoe JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Signage JNL shows the heavy influence of the perennial favorite Futura Black with a couple of minor changes here and there. The design was inspired by a set of British brass stencils for sale in an online auction.

Labyrindo is inspired on the classic Labyrinth. The oldest known labyrinth is 3200 years old and is to be found in Greece. The mythological king Minos held the monstrous son of his wife ‘Minotaurus’ prison in a labyrinth. Much later the labyrinth made his appearance in the medieval churches, this time as a pattern on the church floor. During the Italian renaissance the multiple gate labyrinth came in fashion. Paths led trough green hedges in beautiful palace gardens. These hedges where perfectly cut in rectangular shapes. Mainly meant as an aesthetic statement. Besides the origin of the physic labyrinth, it has always been a great source of story-telling and myths. I mention a few personal favourites (film) like, Pan’s Labyrinth (a journey to the underworld), Labyrinth (with David Bowie) and the Shining with Jack Nicholson (where a horrific scene takes place in a labyrinth). Not the most cheerful stories but fascinating and intriguing. A Labyrinth is mind boggling and mysterious but wonderful. I made graphic translation in this typeface.

This font has a lovely roundish shape and gives us cute and relax impression. But because it is upright, it has a well-ordered atmosphere. Holiday Type Project offers retro hand drawing scripts. With its split serifs, Vglee looks like it could be a copy of an “Old West” font but it is not. It was constructed by taking a motif and applying it regardless of consequences. Vglee does not have lower-case letters but it does include a full set of Western and Central European accented characters. Its distinctive, odd appearance can be useful in small doses for decorative purposes. The VgleeStar style contains only the ornament. It is intended to be used in layers with Vglee.

Nothing is hidden in the simplistic forms and overt aesthetic of Anya Danilova’s Rezak font family. Rezak is not a type family directly from the digital world, but was inspired by the stout presence of cutting letters out of tangible material: paper, stone, and wood. With only a few cuts, the shapes remain dark and simple. With more cuts, the shapes become lighter and more defined, resulting in a dynamic type family not stuck within one specific category. The Black and medium weights began as one approach before separating into display and text categories. The four text weights were created through pendulum swings in design direction that experimented with contrast, angles, tangent redirections, and the amount of anomalies allowed. The text weights are vocal when set larger than ten points and subtle at smaller sizes. The tech-heavy Incised display style came last, employing a surprising range of trigonometric functions to make it behave exactly as desired. Its look can result in something distinctive and emotional or completely over-the-top. Most normal typefaces change only in thickness; Rezak changes in intention, highlighting the relationship between dark and light, presence and absence, what’s removed and what remains. Rezak’s Black and Incised display styles are like a shaft of light in reverse and are perfect in situations of impact: websites, headlines and large text, gaming, call-outs, posters, and packaging. The tone works for something from youthful or craft-oriented to organic and natural products. Try these two in logotypes, complex print layering, branding, and words-as-pattern for greater experimentation. The text styles are bold, energetic, well informed, and round out the family with four weights (Regular, Semibold, Bold, Extrabold) and matching italics for a family grand total of ten. These jaunty styles work well in children’s books, call-outs, movie titles, and subheads for myriad subjects such as architecture, coffee, nature, cooking, and other rough-and-tumble purposes. Rezak’s crunchy letters are meant to expose rough, daring, or dramatic text. A further benefit is that this family is not sequestered within one specific genre or script, so it can be easily interpreted for other scripts, such as its current Latin and extended Cyrillic which supports such neglected languages as Abkhaz, Itelmen, and Koryak. Rezak’s push toward creativity and innovation, with an eye on typography’s rich history, reinforces our foundry’s mission to publish invigorating forms at the highest function and widest applicability.

Barking Frenzy may look as if it was cut out of paper or cardboard, but it's not! It was drawn with a rugged pen, leaving rough edges here and there. It's great for children's books and toys or maybe handcraft or other handcrafted activities. I've added 5 different versions of each lowercase letter and these appear randomly as you type. That way your text looks really natural and organic, because the letters rarely repeat themselves. Also the font has multilingual support!

Burford Rustic is the weathered and textured alternative to the Burford Family. It works the same way as Burford as a layer-based font family, but with some style variations and new layering options. It includes 20 font files, starting with four texture variations from Black, Bold, Light to Ultralight. It also includes and Outline and two Inline Weights. Additionally it offers three line weights (light, medium and bold) for top layering options. There are two extruded fonts and two drop shadow fonts, all either in a solo version and set with Burford Rustic Black for users not using Opentype programs. Rustic Setting JNL is the solidified version of Rustic Stencil JNL. Originally modeled from lettering on the cover a children's book, the solid version of this Western-inspired typeface is reminiscent of the classic wood types of the era.

Bodoni Classic Deco is against all rules. Giambattista Bodoni himself would probably hate me for doing it; he was a real purist. The whole idea of the Bodoni typeface is no embellishments and here I go and decorate those nice clear letters. Shame on me! But I find this is a very nice and useful typeface for all kinds of cards and certificates. So I just did it for all of you out there that are not born purists, but want a little embellishment to their lives. And to make things worse, I added a Small Caps cut. I even decorated it. Enjoy! The origin of this font was a frieze in the RAF Chapel in Westminster Abbey which Michael Harvey was commissioned to design and create. It was comprised of the names of the top brass in wartime Bomber Command, namely Dowding, Harris, Newall, Tedder, Portal and Douglas. The Brief was to cut the letters in bronze and gild them. Instead, they were cut in perspex and gilded. To sit comfortably within the long and narrow vertical space available beneath the chapel’s stained glass window, extended letterforms were used with many vertical serifs omitted and with lengthened horizontal serifs. Some twenty years later, the missing upper-case letters were drawn together with the lowercase letters and Frieze, the font, was born. Subsequently, additional weights and styles were added to create a font family of six styles.

Donald DBXL Beekman needed a break. And he took it too. While sitting there consuming a sandwich and a half-pint of milk, he took up his ruler and pencil. By the time there was no milk left and only some bread crumbs remained on his plate, VLNL Breakz was finished. That’s DBXL for you. Get your letters during your break. VLNL Breakz was originally designed as the headline and logo font for the breakdance competition Amsterdam Breakz, but turned out to be very versatile.
