Many sport publications missed typefaces designed especially for sport communication conditions. We usually see only mechanically slanted or other synthetically destroyed standard typefaces. I want to fill in this space and create a system of fonts, that will be used primarily in sport. It is usable for many prints - logotypes, magazines, catalogues, posters etc. Elasticity of glyphs reflected an adrenalinous shapes of latest bikeframes, skies or sportcars. Philip Bouwsma’s offbeat mind, always working in mysterious ways, brings us one of the unlikeliest syntheses of historical influences in a perfectly fluid, organic, and highly expressive connected script. Tupelo takes its inspirational roots from the handwritings of two of the most influential men in world history: Elvis Presley and Abraham Lincoln. This font family has derived from a lettering creation for my wedding stationery. One of the most significant momentos for me and my wife Xana (hence the font name - Xanas Wedding). I hope this typography can give a touch of informal elegance and discreet beauty to your projects. As with Nocturne, Dusk til Dawn recalls the romantic, sophisticated Zeitgeist of the early 20th century, that nostalgic time "between the wars". I have used Nocturne as a basis for Dusk til Dawn, given the font really bold down-strokes, reduced the width of some upper case characters and changed the shape of many lower case characters. Dusk til Dawn comes in two styles: Dusk til Dawn Regular, which uses the Art Deco convention of small x height, and long ascenders. This Display style is perfect for headers, posters, labels etc. Dusk til Dawn Book, which, with its higher x-height and slightly wider characters, is extremely legible and suitable for longer passages of smaller size text.

Das Riese, a type specimen by the most productive Brazilian type foundry, Intellecta Design, is a mix of victorian and art deco influences. A beautiful display type for tiling with uppercases only. It's shadows and volumes refer to pre-modern age whereas its surface to last century 20's. This heavy sans serif strokes characters have a particular appearance, a parallel line texture that reminds Bifur, typeface created in 1929 by A. M. Cassandre. The sideways absence of volume at some leaning letters right side in addition to the patchy darkness of shadows support its handmade design.
