Ruth Pro is a creative work horse primarily designed to be used for typographic design of magazines, posters and books. Though roughly inspired by fonts like Mendoza and Stone Serif, it has its own distinctive look, carefully crafted following all the classic ideals of typography. This typeface came about when playing with felt tip marker settings in Corel Painter and is derivative of my own handwriting. Up until Workstation Clutter, all of my fonts were designed on paper, then scanned or reproduced into a digital format. With the use of Painter, the non-digital steps were removed, making this the first fully-digital Zang-O-Fonts typeface. Brian J Bonislawsky of the Astigmatic One Eye Typographic Institute helped round out the character set and additional needed characters. The name was inspired by an ex-girlfriend's disorganized desk.

Giulia is a sweet type family consisting of 12 Fonts. It was created by Hannes von Döhren and published by HvD Fonts. Besides a fancy curly version there is a second version with a more straight architecture, still owning the same soft and friendly character. Ronna Penner's Sketchley is a 2001 winner of ATypI's bukva:raz! design competition, held recently in Moscow. Inspired by handwriting samples and unable to find a typeface to satisfy her needs, Ms. Penner decided to create her own. The result is this warm, casual script. Font designed from this who was used by an unknown printer in Lyon (France) to print the “Conte de Griseldis ” (Griseldis' tale), from Petrarque, inspired by Boccace, in 1495. The original font has a relatively small number of special characters and ligature, for the time. "Berganza" is a typeface designed as a tribute to the spanish century called "Siglo de Oro". Embellished with several ornaments and swashes, it quickly reminds an age in which castilian arts & letters were flourished, as well as the fantasy knighty fables adventures of heroes, loved ladies and evil villains. Although the Siglo de Oro cannot be set in specific dates, it is generally considered to have lasted more than a century; between 1492, the year of the discovery of America and 1681, the year in which the writer Pedro Calderón dela Barca died. Lope de Vega, Francisco de Quevedo, or even William Shakespeare (in England) are also famous figures of this time. Berganza typeface takes its name from the main character of the picaresque novel "The Conversation of the Dogs" (Cervantes, 1613). Berganza is able to speak with the other dog Scipio on a big number of social & philosophical topics. Talking about technics, Berganza is a modern typeface but with a humanist flavour. Thanks to its various styles and flourishes, it immediately refers to the culteranism aesthetic of that time, whose aim was to elevate the noble over the vulgar. It was our initial intention to develop a suitable lowercase for Les Usherwood's 'Elston' typeface, based on a few characters from an old German typeface called Hermes Grotesque (Woellmer, Berlin). However, the new design quickly took on a life of its own, and we decided to call it ‘Creighton’. Originally released as a four font family, we have now added eight more weights and made the entire family into 'Pro' versions for good measure.

Loosely based on a hand lettered title found on vintage sheet music for the song "Hong Kong", the design for Kwun Tong JNL emulates the letters and numbers formed from pieces of bamboo stalk. Kwun Tong JNL is named for a locality in Hong Kong although (according to Wikipedia) "the Hong Kong Government is unitary and does not define cities and towns as subsidiary administrative units."

Breuckelen was inspired by the regular patterns of the New York City plan. The grid of any large modern city is immediately recognizable by the distinctive pattern of major roads curving or slanting through it. This face is intended to be recognizable in the same way. It is named after the Dutch town after which Brooklyn is named, a word which also roughly translates as "broken land".
