Popsmart means "smart or skilled in a superficial, self-righteous or annoying way" - but when I was young in the 1980ies, it was a positive thing to be popsmart. At least in Denmark! :) Anyway, I find this font to be smart in a positive way: It has a bouncy appearance ( with help from the Contextual Alternates, the font cycles the 6 different versions of each letter!) and a "go-ahead-and-type-anything-and-it-will-end-up-looking-good" kinda vibe.

Based on drawings of Medieval versals (capitals used at beginning of verses in manuscripts) by Frederic W. Goudy. Works beautifully as initials with Goudy Text Oldstyle. HS Alhandasi is an Arabic display typeface. It is useful for book titles and graphic projects where a contemporary, streamlined look is desired. Coil feels comfortable like a well-worn pair of shoes. It could easily pass for an assertive industrial European sans serif of the early 1960s with its slight reverse contrast, monotonous proportions, and squared-off curves, if not for its less predictable side. What appears initially as ellipses upon closer inspection turns out to be irregular shapes, closer to an inverted egg than an oval. The s looks topsy-turvy with its higher curve that is larger than the lower. Some terminal strokes overhang the bowl (as in the a), others open flat (as in the Q, the f, the j, and the t). The resulting effect shakes up this seemingly “retro” face just to make it new. Our midcentury recollections are slightly distorted and reinterpreted by this ironic typeface making it fresh while deceptively cozy and familiar. Coil’s high x-height and even texture make it readable even in small sizes despite its tight apertures. Broadgauge Ornate originated from MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan in 1869 and was only available as an all caps font with numbers. Today this old beautiful wood type rises again from the archives complete with original numbers and an all new lowercase. An all caps Greek character set has also been added plus accented characters for western, central and Eastern European countries. Included in each font file are two sets of left and right pointing hands located on the Less Than and Greater Than keys and also on the Bracket keys. Because this font works well with a Las Vegas theme I've decided to make the pointing hands gambling related with one set of hands rolling dice and the other holding cards. The condensed versions were created because in today's computer graphics applications people stretch and condense fonts to fit their project but don't notice the change in vertical stroke widths or line thickness. After compressing the letter shapes of each Broadgauge Ornate condensed font the vertical lines were corrected making sure they were the proper width or thickness. The results are balanced condensed versions that weren't simply compressed with out consideration for their appearance.
