Biographer is a mild upright script drawn by Angel Koziupa, with Alejandro Paul art directing and producing. Elegant but quite reminiscent of roman forms and proportions, Biographer keeps the calligraphy mostly toned down, but its ascenders and descenders occasionally flare out in final swashy confidence. As usual with Sudtipos fonts, alternates are plenty and the personal touch is never amiss. Biographer is great for women's lit and poetry book covers, as well as tame packaging of products where conveying comfort and peace of mind is of importance. An extensive range of languages are covered (Western and Eastern European, Baltic, Turkish, Maltese and Celtic).

Habano is an eleganty flowing bold script with some very surprising traits. Rick Bradley - known for his Fine Hand, Bible Script, Bradley Hand and Calligraphic Ornaments - drew this font from a gravestone in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, dated 1241. The irregularity lends a special charm to this 'English dialect' version of the international Lombardic style, while the ornamental points reflect the mediaeval 'horror vacui', fear of empty spaces where the evil one might creep in with his influences. Perhaps most useful as a display font, but complete with lower case and extras.

I really enjoy making brush fonts. I usually just get my Chinese ink and a bunch of brushes and start drawing glyphs. It took some time to get Studio Brush right, but I think spending that extra time paid off. Studio Brush is quite a neat brush font: the glyphs of this all caps font are of equal height (more or less) and complement each other perfectly. Studio Brush comes with double letter ligatures and some alternate glyphs.

Claude Duflos was a French engraver and printmaker at the end of the 1600s. He produced a great number of beautiful plates, executed principally with the graver very neatly finished. At the base of his work we can appreciate his legible lettering carefully executed with his particular ductus. During this period three different hands were developed in France: Ronde (an script deriving from “Civilité”), “Lettre Italianne” and Bâtarde Coulée that is a modification of ronde. The hand of joined letters, which lent itself to a rapid writing, became a model for English round hand or copperplate style. CDuflos is our typographic interpretation of the lettering style produced by Claude Duflos.
