Buzz is a loose and informal grungy font with a modern, electric, zappy quality: The font is particularly useful for the promotion of products aimed at young and trendy consumers. It can be used for the design of: CD and DVD covers; clothing advertising and swing tags; magazines and advertising; and cosmetic packaging. It has been carefully letterspaced and kerned. It contains a full character set: all upper and lower case characters, punctuation, numerals and accented characters are present.

CAPITALIZED, geometric, bold and round. If the typo­grapher sees a font like that, it's enough to make his toes curl. But sometimes it just has to be that way. Geometrically constructed fonts do not necessarily have to be pointed and angular; It also works consistently around. And if I say it consistently, then in this case, that's done consistently. The basis for the BOULE is the circle. The letters are drawn with constant line width, the “corners“ and endings all have the same radius, the lines are all the same thickness. As the name implies, it is the outer contour of the letters, combined with a shadow at the bottom left. The name BOULE (French for ball) says it already: this font is globated. Halloween lends itself to graphic images: witches, ghosts, bats, jack-o'lanterns and haunted houses. When we think of a haunted house, we generally think of a large, abandoned, derelict Victorian wood-frame house. The style is usually Second Empire or Queen Anne. There tends to be a lot of decoration. There is usually a porch or two with decorative spindle work. There is probably a tower, either square with a mansard roof such as one might see in Paris or round with a conical roof borrowed from a Loire Valley chateau. These houses were generally built in the United States between 1860 and 1900, products of the exuberance of a time before income tax. It took at least three servants to maintain such a house and was very expensive. Few can afford them today. That is why so many were converted to professional offices, multi-family dwellings or simply abandoned. HAUNTED HOUSE is our typographical contribution to Halloween. As with any attempt at a new typeface, you want to create something different. A difficult task as most legible fonts are based on something previous. Somatype isn't actually based on any particular font but it has unavoidable similarities to others. The important difference here being the distinctive quirk of the connection points going opposite to the norm; exemplified best by the lower case d & e. Once devised, the unique characteristic was applied wherever possible, keeping the rest of the characters in a sympathetic, rounded style. I first designed this in the light weight version, seeing it working best as a large open display font for magazines etc. but realized it would be too light for body copy at small scale, so, medium and bold weights were created to resolve that issue. Incidentally, the word ‘somatype’ literally means body-type.

Have you got a dream? I dream of visiting Peterhof. The palace and park ensemble with beautiful architecture, sculptures, and fountains. It is no less beautiful on the inside than on the outside. Huge halls, windows, columns, paintings. Everything is very refined, elegant, and beautiful. Looking at the photos, I enjoy and admire the views. They inspired me to create the "Peterhof" typeface. Elongated letters echo with tall columns and fountains. Serifs and playful glyph corners add grace to the font. It turned out to be refined, aristocratic, and at the same time mysterious and effective. I have created a whole family of "Peterhof" fonts from regular to bold italics for every taste and for every task. The "Peterhof" font will look great in headlines, advertising signs, posters, magazine pages, and prints. It can serve as the main focus of your compositions.

I searched all over the internet looking for a realistic sand writing font and came away empty handed. Undaunted by this, I grabbed my business partner, Mary and trekked down to our local river, the Arkansas (pronounced ar-KAN-sas around here). Using sticks, we scratched out the entire alphabet in the sand, including upper & lowercase, and punctuation marks! I photographed the characters, converted them to line art on my computer and used font creating software to turn it into a true type font! This font was designed for adding dates, places and messages to your beach photos that looked as if you wrote it in the sand before you took the picture! It is a decorative font best used in large, headline sizes. To make it appear more realistic, select a darker color from the sand in the photo to use for the type instead of black!

Conceived on a cold evening to the hot Jazz of the Eri Yamamoto Trio at Arthur’s Tavern in the Village, font Molly Louie is best described by the person for whom it was named. “Very intricate, like a whole little world in each of them” and “The solid is nice too, like little cut up sandwiches.” The detailed and solid versions facilitate a variety of two-color applications. You might not use this decorative display font at smaller sizes, but you are encouraged to let your imagination guide you.

Tucked inside the November 5, 1927 issue of a German signpainters' trade paper was a single sheet headed Der Schilder und Schriftenmaler, which featured an alphabet called "Neue Fraktur". An exuberant (if somewhat unconventional) combination of Art Deco sensibilities and blackletter forms, the font retains its freshness, even today. Included in this version are Deco bishops fingers at the bar and broken bar positions, and a styling, horn-blowing herald at ASCII circumflex and tilde positions. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin and 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan) character sets.

The Hobo font is a dynamically tapering face in which all strokes are accentuated curves, achieving a superb decorative effect. It is formed based on architectural and drawing fonts. It combines Russian traditions and modern trends. The shape of the letters varies from round wide to oblong narrow, in this contrast lies the idea of the font. At first glance, this contradictory decision finds harmony with closer acquaintance.

FHA Condensed French One could speculate that FHA Condensed French probably started life as wood type for displays, headlines and posters. The exaggerated sharp serifs and condensed forms were not uncommon for that period. At some point, sign painters picked up Condensed French added their own character. At the end of the nineteenth century, Frank H. Atkinson included Condensed French in his samples of lettering for his book, ”Sign Painting, A Complete Manual.” This book became one of the definitive guides for signwriting and hand lettering. In 1999, Mike Adkins digitized Condensed to add to our Atkinson collection. For its re-release, Condensed French has been updated with more language support, ligatures, and OpenType alternates. It has true vintage character but still plays well in more modern designs. A font for all seasons, the condensed forms and sharp serifs fit in every layout from wildwest days posters and creepy film credits to Christmas ads and Mother’s Day cards. While I can’t really see FHA Condensed French as the font for phone aps or video game text, it will provide impact to logos, branding, and product labeling.

Galangal, or Laos, is a root belonging to the ginger family, which is used in Indonesian cuisine. Since this font has the same design characteristics as Kurkuma, I thought naming it after a root was quite appropriate. Galangal is pretty unique, with thin and fat areas, bizarre glyphs and rough edges. Upper and lower case are fully interchangeable and the typeface comes with a full range of diacritics.

Dusan "Dustin" Jelesijevic wanted to make a font that would be "scary" and "serious" at the same time. Wanna-be-horror and punk-rock-out-of-beers typeface's style invites all interest minors and adults to use this fonts for miscellaneous rebel-yeah situations. For example, if you like to protest in a public against Tour De Force font foundry, please write transparencies using this font, it will hurt us bad. Just don't hack our site with message written in Rough the Type. Bickley Script was designed by Alan Meeks in 1986 and is based on the handwriting forms popular at the end of the 19th century. The flowery capitals contrast beautifully with the delicate and reserved lower case letters, fit perfectly together and enhance the handwritten character of the font. Bickley Script looks as though it were written with a fine tipped pen and has an elegant, nostalgic charm. The font is best for headlines as well as short to middle length texts and should be set in point sizes of 14 or larger, and Bickley Script's capitals can also be used as initials with other alphabets.

I am here to deliver! I used a semi dry brush for this font, and when views at large sizes you can really enjoy the brush traces. The font keeps the authentic feeling of something hastily written with a brush. Along with he very tight spacing and kerning, it does it job! Quite good for headlines that needs that extra punk, or T-shirts design, posters, Instagram photos or interactive designs!

There were several motivations for this font. It was a font in my style, a left-handed designer. But also, I wanted a script designed to work with ePUBs. This means fancy bullets in place of some of the ASCII characters—since ePUB readers do not support OpenType at all. Basically, I just had fun with it. The heifer for the mu figure cracks me up. A font from outer space, CA Weird Stories - the perfect font for science fiction novels or to create a spooky atmosphere. A bit too weird and a bit too slanted for this world. Brouwerij means Brewery in Dutch. I just liked the name and it seemed to fit the font quite well. As for me, believe it or not, I’m not a beer drinker! I can’t understand why people go nuts when the word beer is mentioned. Like it is something special (after all, it is the third most consumed beverage after water and tea). Like you are not a man when you don’t drink beer! Brouwerij is a pleasant all caps font that comes with interesting swashes for the upper class letters. You can (obviously) use it to promote your home made brew, but any other drink can use a bit of Brouwerij as well.

When I created Face Your Fears some years ago, it was an instant hit. I have seen it on Gangsta Rap albums, metal albums, books and on movie posters. It has been used for T-shirts, websites and, believe it or not, for a beer label as well. I have always toyed with the idea of redoing the original font, as some of the glyphs were a bit off. Face Your Fears II is similar in nature to the original font, but comes with a lot of improvements, has slightly altered glyphs and (probably) better kerning. But maybe, just maybe, it isn't your cup o' tea. In that case, you can always just go for the original!

Another font for the BAQ family, BAQ metal brings back the classically solid, sturdy form of its predecessors with a rough and ready finish. The roundness of this font doesn’t take away from its impact, but does keep it from being too harsh, while the texture creates extra legibility at smaller sizes. Really though, BAQ metal works better when it’s bigger, standing out with its coarse appearance and rotund fullness. Use it to create outstanding headlines and catch people’s attention without being aggressive, even in a variety of different languages.
