Coldfield JNL is the revival of an old wood type font from Jeff Levine. Clean and easily readable at different point sizes, it is an excellent companion to Twelve Oaks JNL and Ingomar JNL.

Thorowgood was originally released by the Stephenson Blake typefoundry in the UK. The types were first cut by the English typefounder Robert Thorne, predecessor of William Thorowgood, and first shown in his specimen books in the early nineteenth century. The fat face was revived in roman (1953) and italic. The S and the C appear to be smaller than the other capitals. Most serifs are flat and thin horizontals. In the italic the main strokes of h, k, m, n, and r are curved inwards at the foot.

Habana Deco ML was inspired by a hand-lettered sign on the stucco exterior of a small pharmacy in modern-day city of Havana, Cuba. It, in turn, was based on the fat-faced Art Deco lettering of the late 20s and early 30s, especially the Futurismo posters out of Italy, as well as alphabets designed in The Netherlands, France, USA and even the Soviet Union. There are 24 stylistic alternate glyphs (SALT), many inspired by a variety of these sources, including a couple from the sign in the front of the Congress Hotel in South Beach, Miami. The others features of the Habana Deco include 363 glyphs, 184 kerning pairs (KERN), 14 ornaments and shapes (ORNM) and 15 discretionary ligatures (DLIG). This is a font with which you can have fun. The zip package includes two versions of the font at no extra charge. There is an OTF version which is in Open PS (Post Script Type 1) format and a TTF version which is in Open TT (True Type)format. Use whichever works best for your applications.

Delikaat is made up of thin & thick strokes - a version of Cubo Font's former Delicate. Most cursive fonts intend to create the look and feel of real handwriting: many letters have a specific drawing, following other letters that come before and after, or its position at the beginning or at the end of the word. “Delicate” resolved that problem thanks to the OpenType technology, and offers many discretionary ligatures (group of pre-drawn letters), adapted to numerous combinations. The Declaration of Independence was authored by Thomas Jefferson, but his is not the classic handwriting on the engrossed copies familiar to most Americans. That belonged to Timothy Matlack, an early patriot who fought in the Revolution, sat as prosecutor at Benedict Arnold’s court martial, and also penned copies of a number of documents for then-General George Washington. Matlack’s script was compact but legible, perfect for the first and most famous of American documents. Now you, too, can write that way. Mind Boggle was made during the renovation of our fixer upper farm house. We had to demolish an old annexe (because it was unsafe) and it caused us some stress, as one wrong movement of the excavator would mean at least a partial collapse of our home… Luckily the driver was a pro and it was mind boggling to see what he could do with a huge machine like that. Mind Boggling? Ah! Check! Mind Boggle is a handmade, all caps, headline font. It is a bit wobbly in places, but it comes with loads of character. The dotty style comes with thousands of hand made dots. They’re not perfect, they’re not even round, but they are unique!

My Comforting Sounds font is a handmade sans serif font. It has a crunchy line, an organic look and legibility even at very small sizes. And in a charming way, it is quite simple!

Charisma was inspired by the hand lettering used by draftsmen and architects. It is casual and informal and is ideal for use in conveying these qualities. It is excellent for casual text and at large sizes an effective casual display font. The font includes upper and lowercase alphabets, numbers, punctuation, accented characters, symbols, and miscellaneous characters.

The future is square! Well, at least according to Turbo Modul! Maybe the future is square, but it is also funky - just like Turbo Modul ... and its pretty unpredictable! Turbo Modul is loaded with alternative letters with arrows pointing in all directions, all made to pimp your designs! I've also added ligatures to substitute double letters, and there's a slight difference from caps and lowercase. Wow! That's a lot of different combinations! I tell you what ... I take a look at the posters I've made, and hopefully it will make you want to try out the font. I had a lot of fun doing the font, and maybe you will have a lot of fun using it! ;)

Kessel 105 Text is the text specific variation of stablemate, Kessel 105 . With a narrower x-height and longer ascenders and descenders, its more traditional proportions make it more economical with space and better suited to continuous text. It's a versatile, modern sans, highly legible as a text font and with a clean, elegant look as a display font at larger sizes. It has an art deco flavour with sharp points at the apex of many characters. Every time I bring my youngest son to his swimming lessons, I need to show my Covid Vaccination Pass; a QR code on my phone. I thought that I would be off the hook after I showed it the first time, but no, not at the swimming pool! It feels a bit like a bad comic book, so I decided to name this comic book style font Identity Check. Of course, I should have called it Covid Vaccination Check, but that is just too much and it probably won’t sell. Who wants a font called Covid?? ;-) Identity Check is a comic book style font. The glyphs are wider than I am used to (it seems I AM capable of learning new tricks), but the effect is rather nice. Identity Check comes with extensive language support, including Cyrillic and Vietnamese. Plus two sets of alternate glyphs, that cycle as you type.

Okoye occupies a liminal space between the bonkers curviness of 19th-century grotesques and the sandblasted neutrality of 20th-century models. Both extremes are nice, but there’s something to be said for some neutrality with character left in place, yes? Okoye comes in 9 weights, Thin to Black. If you’re using it for interfaces, each weight lines up from 100-900 in the CSS specification you already know, with Regular sitting at 400 and Bold at 700. You’ll see what you expect to see without extra font-weight specification. There’s extensive Latin language support, a set of small caps which mirrors full-size caps (good for control labels), and arrows. Okoye will be your quirkhorse: hardworking, with personality.

Galette is a contemporary all-purpose sans-serif for printing and online delivery, allowing the use of one layout both as printed material and online without loss of quality or legibility. Not only a high resolution printing font with extensive kerning, it was designed from the ground up for clear and uniform display on the computer screen. It displays more predictably than the traditional fonts: no overhangs are used, the stroke thickness of capitals and lower case letters is identical, making hinting or antialiasing smoother at any point size and zoom combination. The hint of Art Nouveau makes the font more expressive and individualistic. A number of alternative capitals allows the font’s expression to be turned up or down at will. A generous complement of accented characters (Western & Eastern European, Baltic, Turkish) enables multi-lingual use.

With a rounded shape and a burlap texture, what else could we call this font? Circus Peanut is oblique and comes equipped with its own drop shadow. It's meant to be used at large sizes.

DinoTracks is a novelty or letterbox font in which the letters are formed with dinosaur footprints. It is readable at small point sizes, but then one cannot see that the letters are made from footprints

Lunarmod is an attempt at creating a full font from a single basic shape, a box with oval ends. It ended up being very modular and looks slightly alien or spacey, hence the name Lunarmod.

Nanquim is a versatile font, available in three sketchy options. At display sizes the line art is very eye-catching. At smaller sizes it turns out like textured faces. Always with a pleasant handmade feel. Nanquim characters were hand drawn with pen and India ink on film, like we use to do when preparing artwork for screenprint. Hope you enjoy!

I created this font to capture the innocence and playfulness of doodle lettering that is created in schools everywhere. Typographic rules are non-existent and the characters are sometimes oddly and incorrectly shaped but that's exactly what gives it charm. What really got me started was Napoleon Dynamite, his drawings and "typography". This font does not mimic what you see in the movie at all, but it attempts to capture the same spirit of high school "doodle typography". My favorite line: "I am pretty much the best artist I know". The font was named after Boondoggle keychains, the other craft most scholars acquire at some point in their school careers.

Bodoni Campanile Pro is a font that bridges the gap between a “fat” and a compressed traditional serif typeface. It was originally designed in 1936 by Robert H. Middleton for Ludlow. International TypeFounders exclusively licensed the family from the Ludlow Collection, and Steve Jackaman (ITF) produced a digital version in 1998. Jackaman completely redrew the font for its 2017 release. Bodoni Campanile Pro, much like its transitional status as a font, is successful in both formal and casual roles. The free-flowing aspects of the family, seen especially in the lowercase ‘g’ and the leg of the uppercase ‘R,’ give the family an air of elegance.

In the collection of vintage and historic images available online from the Library of Congress is one of the exterior of the Town Talk Diner in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Regrettably, on May 28, 2020, the Town Talk Diner was damaged by vandalism, and subsequently destroyed by a fire that engulfed the building early on the morning of May 29th due to civil unrest following the death of George Floyd. The restaurant first opened in 1946, closed in 2011 and subsequently re-opened under new ownership in 2014 with French cuisine, then from 2016 until its demise as an American bistro. While this was not known at the time of selecting the image for a typographic model, subsequent research on the diner turned up these facts. The large vintage sign above the entrance was in big, bold Art Deco letters with rows and rows of bulbs for illuminating the name at night. Coffee and Danish JNL, modeled from the image of that sign, is available in both regular and oblique versions. Perhaps, in a way, the type design will serve as a bit of historic recognition for a popular eating spot.
