Analogia is a digital interpretation of types used in the mid-18th century in books printed at Leuven by Martin van Overbeke. It is intended primarily for use in running text. The roman is businesslike, yet with a distinct personality; it has a generous x-height and is slightly condensed, though without appearing cramped. It is complemented by a more lively italic, which retains some irregularities in the angle of slant that are characteristic of the original. Analogia provides wide support for west, central, and east European languages that use the roman alphabet. Among its OpenType features are ligatures, small caps, several sets of numerals, contextual alternates, intelligent implementation of long ‘s’, and fractions. This is the first of several Eastern fonts I have created and is the prize of the collection. XyloScript is my first script with a woodcut look to it. Still, it is very elegant. Xylo is Greek and means “wood”. This script is another one I designed in the tradition of the 18th-century English calligrapher George Bickham and the 19th-century American calligrapher Platt Rogers Spencer. I like it, your very crafty Gert Wiescher BTW if your font manager tells you that the font is corrupted, just ignore that! This script is very complex and that’s causing some font managers to say the font is corrupted. I have tested it and it works fine!

After watching a bunch of Danish series like Dicte, Bron and The Killing, I figured it would be nice to give my newest font a Danish name. It became Hyggelig. Hyggelig, like the Dutch word 'Gezellig', cannot be translated into English, but it means something like 'cosy'. And a 'cosy' font it is. Hyggelig is a very cute, very threedee-ish typeface. It works great in poster ads and as a display font. It comes with upper and lower case letters and a whole bunch of diacritics. Enjoy!

I really like the Japanese language, as it has words that describe a whole world of meaning. Like Shoganai. It literally means: ‘It cannot be helped’. That’s life, get used to it. Shoganai sums up a lot of the Japanese culture and way of thinking: if things cannot be helped, then accept it and move on. Shoganai is a set of Brush fonts: a thinner, script font and a heavy display font. Use if for book covers, product packaging and more. If you can’t use it, then, well, Shoganai.

I have been walking around the streets of Bangkok with my good old film camera taking photos the way like back in the day. I think there is something magical and authentic in it. Guess what, the first day I went out with that camera I stumbled upon a place is called Fotoclub BKK they develop film rolls how cool is that! I shoot all the 36 photos at the Silom area, taking random photos most came out off centred subject, wrong settings, blurry just like the way I wanted! Soon after I was working on a handwritten script that is a perfect match to the overall topic of my stay in Bangkok so I named it after this exceptional adventure I have had here. The font contains all European diacritics and special characters, some double letter ligatures and stylistic alternates for better flow and more organic and natural look.
