Scandal is a handwriting font that is meant to sit big and bold on the page, calling all kinds of attention to itself.

«Envelove» is the brand new typographic challenge handwritten by Yani Arabena and designed along with Guille Vizzari and Ale Paul, for Sudtipos. It all started as a game for Yani. A carefree and spontaneous calligraphy, making use of the pointed nib with black ink, exploring its expressive possibilities pressing against paper. With time that nib turned into her dearest tool to flow through her writing, breeding this particular style of hers that let her trespass the barrier that kept personal and professional passions apart. All that inspiration is present in «Envelove», a play on words that reflects the love of letters. An expressive free-and-easy typeface that follows no formal calligraphic model and lets itself go with the meaning of words, rhythm and sensations. «Envelove» successfully joins three different fonts, «Envelove Script»—free, spontaneous and unique of its kind—going together with «Envelove Caps»—an uppercase style that builds controlled but dynamic words thanks to its alternates and ligatures, and to its own true Small Caps set as well—and «Envelove Icons», ideal to decorate and bring to life any written message. «Envelove» encourages you to write as if you have a nib, ink and an envelope. It invites you to take part in other worlds like a magic cocktail, a summer night, a long-awaited reunion, a first dance, a dish cooked with your own hands. A humanistic sans serif The first version of this font was created in 1994 within the framework of the bid placed by the city of Graz to become the location for the Winter Olympics in 2006. Appropriately, its original name was ”Olympia.“ The font is intended to embody classic ideals as well as to meet modern demands. The proportions of Charpentier Sans are directly derived from Roman capitals and the humanistic book-face. The contrast between strokes and thin strokes is based on medieval uncial script. And thus, a modern serif sans was created emphasizing thick and thin strokes together. Thanks to its traditional form language, Charpentier Sans is very legible, adapts to various forms of content and expresses a kind of calmness and certainty. Details resulting from writing with the quill guarantee that the font doesn’t appear too rough and unemotional. Even the tiny, pointed mini serifs contribute to the unmistakable appearance of the font. They create an exciting contrast to the soft flowing forms of the letters and are, to a great extent, conducive to the legibility. Consequently Charpentier Sans always appears with an extremely sharp and clear outline. Charpentier Sans Italique has an even more distinct ductus derived from writing. Especially the rounded forms from a, e, f, g and y reflect the handwritten humanistic cursive. Charpentier Sans is comprised of many ligatures, including discretional ones, plus proportional medieval and capital figures for the normal type as well as disproportional tabular figures with a consistent width. Above and beyond the ”normal“ Latin typeface system, small caps are available as an especially elegant form of distinction.

This is an original typeface designed in the Arts And Crafts style. It is similar to Arts And Crafts GS, but with a more organic hand lettering style true to the Arts and Crafts movement. It is loosely inspired by the decorative lettering of Jessie Marion King, and the Scottish style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh of the Glasgow School, from which Jessie received her training.

A new take on the classic font Bodoni, revealing the structural elements of the font, and adding a little sparkle with a pseudo-stencil treatment. The font is named in honor of its original designer and also the undisputed king of the two-chord song. Both versions of the font include the 1252 Latin and 1250 CE character sets (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

This font was inspired by the hand-written 1648 Munster peace treatise signed by French King Louis XIV and German emperor Ferdinand II. It is a Cancellaresca font style, meticulously written and almost legible. It contains Western (including Celtic) and Northern European, Icelandic, Baltic, Eastern, Central European and Turkish diacritics. The numerous alternates and ligatures made the font looking like a real various hand.

Domani from CounterPoint is a faithful digital revival of an old photo-typositing face called ITC Didi. Originally designed by Herb Lubalin and Tom Carnase, Domani brings to life a font that has been somewhat neglected by the digital era until now. Brought to the attention of Jason Walcott by graphic designer Rob King, this font immediately captured Jason with its 1970s high contrast Didone style, typical of that time period. It has some unique design details that set it apart from other didone style typefaces. “Domani” is the Italian word for “tomorrow”. The name was suggested by Rob King, and Jason felt it was perfect for this revitalized design. Walcott has created a professional quality digital version that is both faithful to the original design while expanding the character set to make use of OpenType features. A full set of swash capitals and several swash lowercase, designed by Walcott, has been added, as well as support for Latin-based and Eastern European languages.

Gallego Pro is a classical, pen-drawn upright script useful for many applications, e.g. book titles, ads, magazines or any kind of display work.

A set of rounded Art Deco initials set inside circular borders was found amongst the pages of the vintage French lettering book "Modèles de Lettres Modernes par Georges Léculier”. Now made into a digital font called Deco Spot Initials JNL, these classic letter forms are available in both the original white-on-black version and as a black-on-white alternate design.

When I started drawing the first of them, I was very much inspired by dinosaurs, but during the work my fantasy guided me more and more and then became rather fabulous creatures." Bowling has letters on bowling pins. On the upper-case keys, the bowling pins are white with black letters and on the lower-case keys the pins are black with white letters. The lower-case letters can be colored and placed behind the upper-case letters to give two-color lettering. (The letters on the pins are from the typeface InsideLetters.)

GummiType is a wildly wobbly and clumsy gummy/jelly style letter font. This was a weird typeface that I originally designed back in 2000 but never finished it. Coming across it again recently, I thought it would be a fun font family to get out there. Perfect for a range of designs that require a spooky or gooey-gooey typestyle. Sometimes the inspiration for my typefaces comes from random everyday things, and this is the perfect example of that. My daughter is addicted to those little peach gummy rings and gummy worms, and gummy anything, but it was my own prior addiction to gummy peach rings that inspired this font. Pulling and distorting the ring sparked the inspiration for the droopy warped characters.

PF DaVinci Script Pro is based on DaVinci’s own handwriting. He is considered to be one of the greatest painters of all time and perhaps the most diversely talented person ever to have lived.
