In comparison to most of my typefaces that tend to be fairly expressive, I wanted Voice to be simple, effective and easy to use. Voice was designed to work well in a wide range of sizes, and also in narrow tight columns with a wide range of weights. Those are some criteria for a good corporate typeface that I could clearly see in all my corporate branding projects. It is not that a brand needs all the weights but some appropriate weights can be chosen from that wide range. In copy you should not use heavier than Heavy. ExtraBold and UltraBold work best in display. Recommended uses: corporate branding, magazines and other publications.

Before the original sketches, I had imagined and dreamed this font was used for side characters of retro robot animations such as Gundam and Ideon. But the sketches were put in a PENDING folder. It was a few years ago. In the begining of 2011, I restarted working with the sketches to complete as a font file. Detail and some shape were improved retaining the original concept and they were completed, then named ‘Space Colony’. Just as the name implies, this wide and geometric font family consisting of six weights was designed targeting at use for futuristic product of game, movie, logo and so on. Not only that but the rounded shape makes a lovely, cute and soft impressions so this font is also suited for cartoons, animations and character merchandise too. Grossesbuch is a modern sans serif typeface. The starting point of which was the sketchbook pages. Using a wide-nib nib, I turned the nib so that the stroke was always wide. The sketchbook pages looked like posters. Later, having become interested in fonts, I decided to transfer the drawn letters and make a typeface. I think that the range of use is various accidents: posters, headlines, postcards, captions.
