Aardvark Dreams… Yes, I guess this is the first font ever to have an aardvark in its name! Aardvark Dreams is a bit of an unusual font. It is didone-ish in style, but the glyphs are slightly warped, giving them an almost liquid appearance. The Vark is a cute font for children’s books, games, posters and artwork. It could also work on psychedelic record-sleeves, but I guess they don’t make ‘em no more. Aardvark Dreams comes with a bunch of ligatures and a whole lotta diacritics!

Jazmín is inspired by "Globe Gothic" design yet features different proportions, curves, serif shapes and contrast, which give it a classy, playful and a more contemporary look. The family comes in two versions: an elegant font of 8 weights-ranging from Thin to Black-with matching italics, and an alternate, more playful counterpart with the same number of weights and italics. The whole Jazmín set contains 566 characters which support over 200 Latin-based languages. Jazmín is ideal for magazines, short text, logos, branding design, packaging and advertising.

Vegetability: “The quality or state of being vegetable”. Yes, I know: it’s kinda weird, but I quite like the name of this font! I am trying to become a vegetarian (I am a ‘flexitarian’ right now) and I was trying to find a good veggie recipe for dinner, when this name crossed my mind. Vegetability is a handwritten font with a dash of roughness, a splash of attitude and a pinch of class. Comes with a whole bunch of diacritics and double letter ligatures for the lower case letters.

The font family "DEADman" is mostly inspired by the weird style of the British illustrator Ralph Steadman. He had a long partnership with the American journalist Hunter S. A one-time co-worker of mine sometimes used a fanciful inkpen-style script in display-lettering situations. I liked it a lot. "Phil," I says, "why not do the whole alphabet, maybe a few little dingbats, and I'll make a font." Well, one day he presented me with a stack of posterboard; he'd done some letters, all right -- hundreds of 'em. I managed to boil these down into a typeface called Treefrog, a name that seems to match its organic jumble, its tall x-height, its left- and right-leaning stems, its thick and thin strokes. Full release has many dingbats.

Bloxic is a chunky, counter-less display typeface, packed full extra characters and some bonus icons! It started life back in 2008, when pop/punk/emo bands were all the rage. Pulled from a hand lettered t-shirt design, adapted and systemised – it now exists for your typographic pleasure. Alergia Remix, designed by Mateusz Machalski, is the younger sister of Alergia Grotesk. Remixed styles were made as a hybrid between a linear antiqua and a geometric display typeface. Alergia Remix is characterised by a lot of details, which gives it a strong character. Unpredictable construction in the letters a,s,g,e,m,h etc. in combination with a delicate contrast, makes Alergia Remix a good choice for many display purposes . I have upgraded my existing font software and also bought new font software to play around with. It takes some time getting used to working with it; the upgraded software feels similar to what I am used to, but handles things differently and the new software is intuitive, but comes with its own language and ways of doing things. I spend most days reading the handbooks and watching online tutorials, but I did manage to create a font. Steamed is a hand drawn all caps display font that comes with a whole bunch of accented glyphs (even Vietnamese) to play around with.

Siro is a large x-height sans-serif family for text designed by Ryoichi Tsunekawa and the whole family consists of 7 weights from ExtraLight to Heavy and their matching Italics. The basic skeleton of their letterform was designed simply to create neutral, natural and clean impression and their very large x-height makes this family legible and readable even on small size screen. Siro supports almost all European languages: Western, Central, South Eastern Europeans and afrikaans. And proportional figures, superior figures, inferior figures, denominators, numerators, fractions, ordinals and case-sensitive-forms can be accessed by using OpenType features.

Peter Schmidt, well-known designer from Hamburg, browsed in a fashion magazine on a return flight from the United States. At that time he was thinking about a logo for a philharmonic orchestra. In the magazine, he noticed some interesting typography. He removed the page from the magazine and sent it later to Peter Langpeter. That was the inspiration for the creation of the logo. Since Peter Langpeter really liked the classic aesthetics of the resulting letters, he developed a whole new alphabet of it. Initially, only capital letters. Now he has completed this exceptionally beautiful font.

The Ingeborg family was designed with the intent of producing a readable modern face. Its roots might well be historic, but its approach is very contemporary. Ingeborg’s Text Weights are functional and discreet. This was achieved without losing the classic characteristics of a Didone typeface, which are the vertical stress and the high contrast. The Display Weights on the other hand are designed to fulfil their job and catch the reader’s eye by individual form language and a whole lot of ink on the paper. Nevertheless both are of one origin and work together in harmony.

Praho Pro is a part of Warsaw Types – a project based on Warsaw’s local typographic heritage. The project, presented at the Museum of Praga, is a collaboration of 12 young Polish typographers. Praho Pro is a multilingual family inspired by the unique, historical character of Praga district of Poland's capital - Warsaw. High contrast, thin serifs, sharp terminals and large x-height are key features for distinctive headlines. The whole family consist of 9 weights and real italics, small caps, superscript and subscript letters, oldstyle, tabular figures and fractions. It covers latin and cyrillic script. Every weight has almost 2000 glyphs.

This is a complex typographic system which includes three different but complementary styles so far: Slab, italic and script, with nine weights each one; plus three sets of ornamental fonts: labels, negative labels and ornaments. The soul of the family is a slab feeling applied judiciously to the italic and script styles to make it coherent with the whole system. Each style has three sets of figures: Proportional lining, tabular lining and old style. A Tartufo is a truffle in Italian. I have to admit, I have never eaten one, so I couldn’t really tell you if they’re any good. I suppose they are, but you’ll have to find that out for yourselves! Tartufo font is a bit of a weird font. It was hand made with a rollerball pen on some very expensive French paper. As I was drawing each glyph, I figured I might as well include Cyrillic and Greek. Tartufo is not a text font - I’d use it for packaging, posters, book covers and T-shirts. Comes with a whole bunch of diacritics!

Jobst Gutknecht was a highly successful printer in the city of Nuremburg from 1514 to 1542. He published the "Achtliederbuch" (the first Lutheran hymnal, with a whole 4 tunes) and many works by Martin Luther. This font is an accurate "recutting" of the font face Gutknecht used for the body text in his printed works. It has been extended to over 900 glyphs adding hundreds for modern use. It also presents many ancient things like old ligatures such as "tz", a hedera, and alternate style pilcrow for visual interest. And for those conservative types the modern lower case "k" is also available.

I have no great love for walls, especially when they are built to keep people out. When I started working on this font, I realized it looked a bit like protest graffiti, found on… yes, walls. Down The Wall is a great little font: it is handwritten, messy and in your face. It has no real baseline and glyphs jump all over the place. Use it for book covers, posters, album covers - anything really. It certainly would look good on a wall too! Comes with a whole bunch of diacritics, so whatever you have to say, the world will understand.

This time the font's name is meaningless. Maduki doesn't mean 'cool' in Swahili, nor does it mean 'cup cake' in Sranantongo. It is just a nice name. Maduki is a playful font, created with one of my 2 year old son's marker pens (the 'no stain, wash-out' variety), a couple of cups of coffee and a whole bunch of 'speculaas' cookies. Now you're wondering what speculaas is, right? I'll tell you later - in a couple of fonts... Anyway, there's not much meaningful to say about Maduki font. It is nice, it is cute and it comes with alternates!

This unique typeface is a great addition to a graphics designer collection. Great for pixel artists who want a unique text style for their works, album artwork and much more. This font contains over 400+ unique glyphs to accommodate for English, Latin languages, most symbols and much more. All characters feature the same size disc surrounding letters utilising negative space through the design. Created by Kole Cook for Ech000 Foundry. The font is inspired by computer text and command line with a unique twist.

Avimode is bold, sharp, and futuristic. An original CubicType design with a design inspired by the holes and tracks on printed circuit boards. Text set in Avimode fills almost all the space available to it, and has small details. CubicType therefore recommends using this type at large sizes and with processes that are faithful to its fine details. It would look great cut 2 metres high on the side of your galactic spaceship. Please be aware that some of the lettershapes have sharp pointy corners: HANDLE WITH CARE!

The Atoxina family is designed especially for the burgeoning market of starships and other space cruisers. The fonts are ideal for internal and external use (including zero-g and occasional bursts of cosmic rays), and with their simplified forms are expected to survive well in non-linear galaxies. With their unusual diagonal half-pixels the fonts are striking as abstract designs at astronomical sizes, where small text may be placed within the black holes formed inside the letters. The typeface is available in two different styles: Atoxina (regular) and Btoxina (italic).

Roman-style stencil fonts have been around for much longer than most people realize - from the interlocking brass stencils of the 1880s to the laser-cut plastic stencils of today. A 1 inch Roman lettering guide [die-cut from oil board with spacing holes for correct alignment] made by the now-defunct Zipatone Corporation in the 1970s was a clone of an existing design of another company; but with variations in certain character shapes. This then became the working model for Classroom Stencil JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

A mid-1950s hand lettered ad for Stenso Lettering Guides provided the inspiration for Stencil Company JNL, now available in both regular and oblique versions. The Stenso Lettering Company of Baltimore, Maryland pioneered easy-to-use and inexpensive lettering devices with guide holes for accurate spacing. Originally designed by a school teacher (Ruth Libauer Hormats) around 1940, the company was family run until it was sold in 1962 to Ottenheimer Publishers. They in turn sold the line to the Dennison Manufacturing Company, and it was discontinued in the 1980s after Dennison merged with Avery.
