This is our name for Antique Tuscan, of which there were many variations. This font came from a large lot purchased around 1970 from an east coast newspaper shop. Subsequently, we acquired several more versions of the face, but this one had lowercase so we used it.

A long lost Art Nouveau wood type from the Hamilton Museum Collection evokes the excesses of Victorian design and the equally quirky 1960s Psychedelic era revival of the Victorian type styles. Free flowing organic designs that flourished with Art Nouveau in the late 1800s were directly referenced and further distorted with with phototype in the late 1960s. This design, known as Arabesque, was produced by the Morgans & Wilcox Co. and the Wm. Page Co. as almost identical designs. Both manufacturers were acquired by Hamilton and offered briefly by Hamilton as design #618. This curious wood type defies most of the basic tenets of type design and what comes to mind when one thinks "wood type". Many characters have a lively eccentricity that were all left true to the original design. Additional characters were designed to fill out the standard range of characters found in digital fonts. Bandung is home to numerous examples of Dutch colonial architecture, most notably the tropical Art Deco architectural style. This typeface was adapted from the finest Art Deco landmarks and signage in Bandung, Indonesia and strongly added native elements of traditional Art Deco typefaces style. Arturo is a brand new font family drawn from the original inspiration of an old alphabet in one of Dan Solo 's Dover Clip Art books. It has moved far away from those raw roots, however. Every character has been redrawn. For example, I had a light version that I never could get working. Arturo is based on that light style and called Arturo Book. The name comes from a good friend of mine in El Paso. He was the guinea pig upon whom I foisted off the beginnings of this style so many years ago. I did several marketing pieces for him using the raw drawings. I figured that he deserved to have the family named after him, at the very least. This is a normal font family for me in that it has caps, lowercase, small caps with the appropriate figures for each case. This font has all the OpenType features in the set for 2009. Here is a decorative condensed antique design that is sure to fit a variety of contemporary situations. The Bruce Type Foundry (later acquired by V. B. Munson) developed this wonderfully shaded Tuscan in the 1880s - or possibly earlier. It was known back then as Style No. 1050 and carried a pronounced three-dimensional look with a thin hairline at the bottom and right of each stroke. It is best to use Frisco Antique in large display sizes because it is easy to lose these delicate hairlines. A lowercase and several alternate characters have been provided for your convenience. Frisco Antique Display is also available in the OpenType Std format. Some new characters have been added to this OpenType version. It won't deceive you! I think that this particular face is halfway between Mistral and Zapfino: rough but clean at the same time. None of its glyphs follow any order, nor do their weights... Love Script came about as a way to finally answer the requests by individuals to take my brush pen/marker lettering styles and turn them into a typeface. Literally, everything lined up perfectly and there was a renewed impetus to push this genre, this style of lettering I have adapted over the years into what will become a series of brush pen/marker typefaces. The first I chose to complete was a high-contrast variant… I seem to be attracted to high contrast, high energy letters (think Lust, Lust Slim and Lust Script). As I was finalizing everything, I kept saying ‘I love this script’, which ultimately led the christening of the typeface as Love Script.
