BearerFond has been in my pen for years and I've used this way of writing a lot on cassette cases. Anyone still using cassettes? Me neither, so in order to keep it alive I have made a font out of it and named it bearerFond; as in bearer bond, since it looks like it could be used on official documents. Nothing too official though.

At first glance, Transcendental JNL looks like a 1960s or 1970s-era "Hippie" type face, hence its "love generation" name. However, the actual inspiration comes from a piece of sheet music from the early 1900s with Art Nouveau influences. It is often proven that what goes around certainly does come around in art, fashion and lettering. Transcendental JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

This Bodoni-like font sets out to slightly square off rounded shapes, adding a very slight curve to the join from the square serif and stem, and minimizing and softening the pronounced bulbs found in Bodoni. Slughals is danish for someone who eats to much in a kind of greedy way. It came to my mind that "slug" ("swallow" in danish) is snail in English. It lead my mind to the brushtraces of the font, could look like traces from a snail/slug. Slughals has ligatures for most double letters and two fancy swashes for the letters r and k.

In 1994 I took a picture of an old movie marquee in Times Square, New York City. 7 years later, I decided to design a typeface based on the big plastic letters found in those old marquees. I scanned in the picture I took and began to draw the letterforms. Like most of my font designs, the initial inspiration came from an urban environment.
