P22 Graciosa is a five font family based upon designs for a metal type by Carlos Winkow (1882–1952), a German type designer who lived and worked in Spain in the early 20th Century. Graciosa is a sort of hybrid blackletter/text font, with simplified blackletter caps and a serifed lowercase with subtle script flare. There is a Regular, Black, an open version called White, and an engraved version called Gris. The version called Multi serves as a fill font to allow for multi-colored layering options. A revival of these designs was initiated by Matthias Beck in 2015. The character set was expanded for use in 21 languages (OpenType Standard). The digitization and reintroduction of these old fonts—created in Spain and practically forgotten—makes them regain a new life. This project was subsidized by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.

The recipient liked the handwriting so much that he passed the note on to me after having asked permission from Debs, the writer. I enjoyed the vigor and looseness of the handwriting, as well as admiring its legibility and style. In the late medieval period appeared a "semi-cursive" writing, the French "écriture de civilité". Quickly, it is carved and melted down in lead for printing. It is a very elegant running font, with numerous variants, both final than initial characters, many of the accented small characters were present in the model I was inspired by, after “Fournier Le jeune ”, in his catalogue "Modèles des caractères de l'imprimerie et des autres choses nécessaires au dit art nouvellement gravés par Simon-Pierre Fournier le jeune" published in 1742 in Paris. It took the Italian designer Antonio Pace more than five years to create Linotype Gianotten™, a successful new interpretation of the classic Bodoni types. To re-draw the 200-year-old characters for the world of modern digital technology, Pace studied Giambattista Bodoni's original punches at the Bodoni Museum in Parma. He felt that previous Bodoni interpretations were not well suited for body texts, so he focused his study of Bodoni's "Manuale Typografico" on the types made specifically for text sizes. Consequently, his Bodoni has strong hairlines, rounded transitions and shorter, fluted serifs - elements that help to achieve readability by providing an overall tranquil effect. Before the original sketches, I had imagined and dreamed this font was used for side characters of retro robot animations such as Gundam and Ideon. But the sketches were put in a PENDING folder. It was a few years ago. In the begining of 2011, I restarted working with the sketches to complete as a font file. Detail and some shape were improved retaining the original concept and they were completed, then named ‘Space Colony’. DF Korolev is a 72 weight geometric sans serif family based on lettering by an anonymous Soviet graphic designer from the propaganda displays at the Communist Red Square parade in 1937. It has been named in honor of Sergey Pavlovich Korolyov, or Korolev, considered by many to be the father of practical astronomics. Rational and robust, it is also elegant and refined. Tracings done in Illustrator over a photograph featuring this type pinned down some of the basic character shapes. These were then imported into FontLab, where the full glyph complement was developed. The lower-case has been designed from scratch, and adheres to the structural logic of the uppercase as closely as possible.
