Capri is an expressive constructed sans serif typeface in the tradition of Kabel and Avant Garde. The proportions of the letters and the overall impression are modern and contemporary but also retain the crude charme of the constructivist concept. The design is based on basic forms as square, circle and triangle and was developed by drawing not writing. The dominant diagonal forms and the vertically cut endings of the curved strokes give the font its sharp-edged look and its puristic elegance.

Another variant of Bayer’s Universal Alphabet, resembling ITC Bauhaus in design, ITC Ronda in proportion and fit, prepared by FotoStar in the mid 1970s.

I've had mixed feelings about Kabel; It is a brilliant headline font with a lot of character, but it's the characters I have problems with. The versions of all big foundries have the same flaws (in my opinion), especially lowecase a and s. So I finally went ahead and made an all new version. It is not Kabel, but very much like it. It has unique x-height, weight and width, and many individual characters are also different from the original.

Harlan is from another place and time. But not just one specific place or time– with its barely-there, knife's-edge serifs, and its smooth curves and flourishes, Harlan feels both vintage and modern; both feminine and masculine. Inspired by the Baltimore bar "WC Harlan", which in turn was inspired by the old candle-lit bars of France, the tucked-away osterias of Italy, and the antique books and journals one might find in a patron's hand. It's a font you'll reach for when you're looking for something refined and elegant, but not too stylized or stuffy.

Stuph Light is a collection of drawings pulled from one of the many sketch books Steve Zafarana is always doodling in. Because they are in a font, the drawings can be used in font format or opened and manipulated in vector programs like Freehand or Illustrator. Robert Hunter Middleton drew the original design of Stellar for the Ludlow Typograph Company in Chicago. Work began in the late 1920s, when Middleton was asked to create a sans serif type family to compete with European imports of Futura and Kabel. Stellar was Middleton's attempt to raise the ante. Where Futura and Kabel were geometric in design and monotone in weight, Stellar was based on roman character proportions and stroke weighs were stressed. In the late 1990s, Dave Farey took on the task of reviving the Stellar design. While Ludlow cut Stellar in a full range of point sizes, the family was limited to just a roman and bold design. Farey's revival is twice as large a family. It ranges from a very light called Stellar Nova to a very bold called Zeta In between are Lyra and Epsilon.

ITC Veljovic Script was designed by Jovica Veljovic and displays an obvious calligraphic heritage. The designer was strongly influenced by German designer Hermann Zapf and Israeli designer Henri Friedlander. ITC Veljovic Script exhibits a crisp precision, as if the letters were cut in stone rather than drawn with pen and ink.

A beefy unicase flare serif typeface inspired by a Frank Kane pulp paperback of the same name. Dead Rite is filled with awkward comic personality, mixing Capital and lowercase forms into a pseudo-unicase format that is a joy to play. A dangerous temptress, with large scale easily legible letterforms, this typographic conundrum is waiting for you to solve how it should be used for your designs!

I have a notation that the summer of 1994, when I worked with Kalix, was a warm one. I had no special typeface in mind when drawing the characters of Kalix, but many typefaces contributed to it, e.g. my own Omnibus from which I borrowed the looks of the smal case g. I think it is a lovely typeface whose use is mainly for books and magazines. Kalix is the name of a northern Swedish town situated along a river called Kalixälven. Its name is of sami origin, *káles, meaning cold. There comes the connection to the warm summer of 1994! But even the Latin word for chalice, calix, has something to do with my choice of name. Kalix was released in 1994.

By 1915, all the major foundries offered families of sans serifs, sometimes called Gothic in the USA. Franklin was a response suitable for countries in the vanguard of the machine age. Designed by Morris Benton in 1903-1912, Franklin has preserved its own personality ever since. The ITC Franklin Gothic font family is a redrawing by ITC that keeps the original strength intact, meeting the demand for a strong typeface. ITC Franklin Gothic is better read in display sizes and considered a standard in the newspaper and advertising fields.

Wild Thing was created by British designer Martin Wait and appeared in the ITC library in 1995. The forms look as though they are normal alphabet figures viewed through swirling water, wavy and irregular. Wild Thing is a font which is always moving and is perfect for fresh new designs.

Lualaba Snake is a bold display font, characterized by the snake-like decoration used in each letter. The design of the font was inspired by the legend of the Lualaba River in Central Africa. Snakes enjoy a special status in Africa, as they are reputed to be messengers of the ancestors, and are therefore good. Near the Lualaba river is a pool in which a big snake called Kabwe lives. Our ancestors are thought to communicate through this snake.

Vintage sheet music for a song from the Broadway Musical “Kiss Me Kate” is the inspiration for Katydid JNL. The play’s name was written in a ball-and-line type of lettering which somewhat resembles either 'Tinker Toys' or celestial mapping.

Suomi Script is a typeface with a twist (pun intended): it has more than 1600 ligatures with two or more glyphs connected to make it look like an odd hand-written script polished by ITC. With Open Type savvy programs this font automatically replaces single characters with the ligatures. Some hand kerning is needed here and there.

Refresh was inspired and partly based on handwritten text from advertisements for a popular cola-based soft drink from the 1950s. I designed the missing characters in the handwriting style of the original. The Refresh family comes in three styles: - Lite- possibly the most elegant of the three styles -- use at larger sizes for greater legibility; - Med -of intermediate weight - more legible than Lite; - Blak - for bolder statements and best readabilty. Refresh, with its three styles, is ideal for any display work needing a feminine, handwritten effect. Use it for product branding, book covers, invitations, greeting cards where you're looking for charm and movement. Refresh has not been designed to be used with capital letters placed next to one another: it is not advisable to use text in "ALL CAPS". The best effects for headings and subheads are obtained with an initial upper case letter followed by lower case characters. If you are using upper and lower case then it is not necessary to use kerning. Refresh contains over 250 characters - (upper and lower case characters, punctuation, numerals, symbols and accented characters are present). It has all the accented characters used in the major European languages.

Comical is an offshoot of Scholtz Fonts 2007 Comic SCF. The font has been reworked and updated, and is presented in three weights, Black, Regular & Lite. A former lettering artist at Hallmark Cards, Rob Leuschke now has his own thriving design businesses, Alphabytes and the new TypeSETit. Growing up in St Charles, Missouri, where he still lives, Rob showed great artistic promise at an early age. He earned a BFA in graphic design at the University of Missouri at Columbia. After graduation, his stint at Hallmark Cards gave him the opportunity to learn from and work with some of the best lettering artists in the industry. Rob struck out on his own in 1987 and now boasts a long list of clients from all over the world. Rob has created over 250 custom typefaces, and his work has been exhibited in New York. FF Bauer Grotesk is a revival of the metal type Friedrich Bauer Grotesk, released between 1933 and 1934 by the foundry Trennert & Sohn in Hamburg Altona, Germany. The geometric construction of the typeface, infused with the art déco zeitgeist of that era, is closely related to such famous German designs as Futura, Erbar, Kabel and Super Grotesk that debuted a few years earlier. However, Bauer Grotesk stands out for not being so dogmatic with the geometry, lending the design a warmer, more homogenous feeling. The oval “O” is a good example of that, as well as characteristic shapes like the capital M or the unconventionally differing endings of “c” and “s” which make for a less constructed look. The Mac interface includes a font for use in small sizes called Chicago. The first version was designed by Susan Kare. The font’s modern grid-like character was also used for the first iPod screens, which is why this font is also associated with music. Today’s font upgrade, Little Micro Sans, is suited for small-point texts, product labels, lists of ingredients, and small captions in books, magazines, websites or applications. Baskerville Display PT is a type family intended for large and extra large point sizes. It was inspired by the faces of John Baskerville and designed for expressive display typography. Two weights of Baskerville Display with matching italics are much lighter than the existing text versions of Baskerville. Each of them is an ideal partner for ITC New Baskerville. A good addition to the family is Baskerville Poster which will look great in very large sizes. The font was designed by Arina Alaferdova under the supervision of Dmitry Kirsanov and released by ParaType in 2016.
