Gabby is an authentic handwriting of a First Grader. I took all the papers from her backpack during her first grade year and scanned in various letters, cleaned them up, and turned them into a font. This font is how I captured memories of my daughter's handwriting. This font is perfect for projects requiring the handwriting of a child, such as kid-friendly t-shirts and school projects. Comic Sans can move over because Gabby is readable and authentic. Unlike many decorative fonts, Gabby works well in All Caps or Caps and Lower case. During many years I have been exploring the translation from lettering or calligraphy to type design. Lately I have been designing more big sans and serif families plenty of weight. One of the main things about Hopfen is to bring back the german lettering of Bentele, who also inspired my fonts Semilla and Bowling Script, to a more versatile and useful world. Hopfen has the spirit from the past but with today's flow, it comes in 5 weights, full of swashes, endings and alternates. We imagine it being used from Breweries to book covers, from packaging to movie posters but we prefer to let our costumers to find the better use. The font Marcel is named in honor of Marcel Heuzé, a Frenchman who was conscripted into labor during World War II. For this occasion, this font will show the normal version, however, the entire project contemplate condensed family, extended and the development of alphabets as Cyrrilic and Greek. This proposal is to improve the legibility in the Neo-grotesk fonts with generous gaps, vertical and square counter form and ascendents that exceed slightly the capitals.
