If you need OTF versions of the fonts, just email us at commercial@typetype.org About TT Travels Next: The idea to create an alternative version of the TT Travels font family emerged at the “Mail.ru Design Conf x Dribbble Meetup” that took place in August 2020 in Moscow. All conference branding was designed using the TT Travels font family, and, even though the set was very beautiful, we found that if the typeface were more radical and display, it would have complemented the event's graphics even better. Thus, was born the idea for the TT Travels Next typeface, which was to create a very trendy and modern wide display sans serif for use in different sets, be they print or web. TT Travels Next is an experiment answering the "what-if" question of what would happen if the original TT Travels looked different, less compromising and more radical. The typeface has very wide proportions and characters that almost do not get narrower as you move from the bold styles to a light one. TT Travels Next has an exaggerated closed aperture, low contrast, noticeable visual compensators, and a harmonic combination of soft and sharp shapes. In inclined styles, we have purposefully increased the slant up to 14 degrees so that you can type slashing dynamic inscriptions. In addition, the TT Travels Next typeface has two great outline styles which match the upright styles perfectly and complement them, and also work well as display styles. The TT Travels Next typeface consists of 21 fonts: 9 upright and 9 corresponding italics, two outline styles, and one variable font with two variability axes (weight and slant). Each style consists of 757 characters and supports over 190+ languages. The typeface has 26 useful OpenType features, such as stylistic alternates that change the design of characters responsible for the style, ligatures, pointers, circled figures, and many other useful features. TT Travels Next OpenType features list: aalt, ccmp, ordn, locl, subs, sinf, sups, numr, dnom, frac, tnum, onum, lnum, pnum, case, dlig, liga, calt, salt, ss01 (Alt. 22. Ongunkan Danish Futhark by Runic World Tamgacı, $40.00
THE DANISH RUNES Prior to 500 AD the 24-rune Elder Futhark was used in Denmark. From 500 AD to 800 AD there were many transitional futharks, reflecting a change from the 24-rune Futhark to the 16-rune Futharks. By the end of this period, the 24-rune Futhark went completely out of use and the 16-rune Futharks had prevailed. From 900 AD some of the runes changed, visually and phonetically. This occurred again about 950 AD and 1100 AD due to language changes. Runes dated to 1300 AD show evidence of being influenced by the Latin alphabet. Runes found in Skåne, Halland and Blekinge in Sweden, and runes found in Schleswig-Holstein in Germany, is counted among Danish runes, because in the Runic period, this was Danish land.

  24. Foundry Sans by The Foundry, $90.00
This humanistic sans serif design was inspired by a conversation that David Quay had with renowned type designer Hans Meyer, during ATypI in Paris, 1989. Meyer revealed that Sabon, designed by Jan Tschichold, was the inspiration behind his Syntax font. This approach formed the basis for the design development of The Foundry's very first sans serif typeface family; the inspiration for Foundry Sans comes from Stempel Garamond. Foundry Sans was the second typeface to be released for The Foundry typeface library in 1990.
  25. Feltboard JNL by Jeff Levine, $29.00
Feltboard JNL was drawn from images of letters and numbers contained in a felt board (also known as a flannel board) sign kit from the 1940s or 1950s. The irregularity of stroke widths and character shapes is representative of the actual shapes of the die-cut pieces found within this kit. Note: The cap height is slightly smaller than normal for the respective point size. This will give the effect of wider line spacing - similar to that of hand-made signs.
  26. Tecna Dark Square BNF V1.2 by Descarflex, $30.00

  27. Edison by HiH, $12.00
Edison, is it Victorian or is it Art Nouveau? While this typeface may be found in Petzendorfer’s Treasury of Art Nouveau Alphabets, I believe the decorative spirals are more Victorian than “New Art.” To me, they looked tacked on, rather than organic -- with the industrial mechanics of a coiled spring, rather than the tendrils of a growing plant as the philosophical wellspring. Originally released by ATF in 1894 as Houghton, this typeface was re-released shortly thereafter by Bauer and Berthold in Germany as EDISON. Please do not make the mistake of thinking the font we offer here is no better than freeware fonts in cheap rip-off collections. This font has a set 218 characters and represents many hours manipulating the bezier curves to produce acceptable results. Available freeware fonts are often little more than raw scans with little accuracy of letterform. The muddy line intersections are a dead give-away. Frequently all you get is the alphabet itself. No numbers, no punctuation and don't even think about diacriticals. The font we offer represents a tremendous value. Considering the hours of work involved, I have no business charging so little. I could make better money cooking hamburgers or bagging groceries. But we want very much to encourage you to purchase and enjoy these fascinating historical typefaces and are making it as easy as possible for you to do so. So please encourage us and order Edison today.
  28. Rotulona Hand - Personal use only
  29. Lazy Monk by Mirco Zett, $18.00
In the past it was the monk's duty to duplicate the bible, as they wrote everything by hand. The "Lazy Monk" font shows how these replica could have appeared if the monks had been too drunk or too lazy to rewrite the bible.
  30. So Nouveau JNL by Jeff Levine, $29.00
Three of the four letters of the name “Jane” on the cover of a vintage piece of sheet music inspired So Nouveau JNL. The free-form swoops emulating the pen lettering of the early 1900s adds a nostalgic charm to this typeface.
  31. Yayazout JNL by Jeff Levine, $29.00
Yayazout JNL is the Rock and Roll equivalent of Jeff Levine's other "Love Generation" font, Positive Vibe JNL. This typeface emulates the innovative and outrageous styles of the late 60s-early 70s design period where the message was the music and the music was the message...
  32. P22 Underground Pro by P22 Type Foundry, $49.95
The P22 Underground Pro font family started in 1997 as the first and only officially licensed revival of Edward Johnston’s London Underground railway lettering. The original design by Richard Kegler sought to be as true to the original as possible. In 2007 P22 revised and expanded the fonts into a massive character set with additional weights, language support, and stylistic alternates. Endeavoring to make this font family a more versatile and useful tool for a designer, P22 sought to add true italics to this stalwart type design. The only other existing italic interpretation of Johnston’s Underground type was executed by the inimitable Dave Farey and Richard Dawson at Housestyle Graphics. We asked Dave Farey to imagine an Underground italic that would pair well with the P22 Underground, done as if Edward Johnston himself might approach the design challenge. This new italic version was then expanded for all six of the existing P22 Underground weights and characters sets by James Todd of JTD Type. Final mastering of the P22 Underground Pro roman and italic with a streamlined yet still expansive language coverage by P22 partner Patrick Griffin of Canada Type. These refinements remain true to the original Johnston design while employing contemporary typographic finesse to create six weights with optional alternates to increase legibility. The new P22 Underground Pro family is now a rock-solid and very versatile humanist sans serif font family that should be a cornerstone of any designer’s typographic toolkit. After five years in development, the new P22 Underground Pro is the most iconic and useful font family ever presented by P22 Type Foundry.
  33. 1791 Constitution by GLC, $42.00
In the year 1791, the 20th of June, the king of France Louis XVI attempted to flight from Paris to the Luxembourg. He was intercepted on the road and taked to Paris again on the 21st. A few month later, in September, the first French democratic constitution was promulgated, transferring the sovereignty from the king to the French people. This font was created inspired from the steady hand of a lawyer writing a farm renting contract a few days after the advent of the new French regime. It is a "Pro" font containing Western (including Celtic) and Northern European, Icelandic, Baltic, Eastern, Central European and Turquish diacritics. The numerous alternates and ligatures allow to made the font looking as closely as possible to a real hand. 34. Skill by Lián Types, $49.00
DESCRIPTION With Skill I wanted to create something wild. Something that splashed the letters with life. To do this, I knew I'd have to break the barrier between analog and digital, so I took my best brush and started to play. Throughout the years as a type-designer I've met and become fan of many calligraphers. My belief that only a good calligrapher can make good typography (1) has become even stronger. I'm now absolutely sure that only practice improves the skill, especially in this field. So, with this in mind, I started a font which was a challenge for me because sometimes the gap between paper and screen can be gigantic. Skill is another of my attemps (2) to capture the spirit of the pointed brush, its expressiveness, the passions and fears of the artist. This font is about freedom. Freedom everywhere. Movement, velocity, passion. To achieve this, many alternates and ligatures per glyph were designed. Use it on magazines, posters, book covers, music albums, t-shirts, skates, tattoos. NOTES (1) This is mostly referred to script fonts, though text fonts made by designers with a deep calligraphic background have at least to me, an extra charm. (2) See my fonts Live and Indie. TIPS Thanks to Open-Type, the font gives the user the chance to play and get many wonderful results: In example, using the font with “discretionary ligatures” activated will give more life to the written word. Some letters will jump of the base, while others will ligate or not with the following (typical of gestural calligraphy). Adobe Illustrator is recommended. STYLES Skill is the most complete style. It has all the alternates and ligatures that can be seen in the posters and more! Skill Standard is a variant with no decorative glyphs. It has the basic alphabet and some ligatures for better legibility.
  35. Lingua by JOEBOB graphics, $30.00
Lingua is the unlikely offspring of our CAPUT font. Wondering what the undercast characters of this font would look like, I started writing. I was pleased with the first results and this encouraged me to pursue the process. The final font still has some slight resemblance to its predecessor, but stands completely on its own. This bold, sturdy typeface is very suitable for headers, posters and other designs where large sizes are needed. It comes with both a western and a cyrillic character set.
  36. Architectural Lettering by Outside the Line, $19.00

A marked contrast between finer and stronger strokes can be seen in all characters and builds the foundation of the unmistakable image of this font. Faithful Fly's fresh, young look makes this font perfect for comics, cartoons and trend magazines.
