The Weidemann typeface's original name was Biblica, which was designed for the collaborative publication of a Bible by the German Catholic and Protestant Churches. The mass of text which the face was intended to set required that the design allow many characters to fit onto one line without rendering the words illegible. Thus, narrow spacing does not compromise the legibility or the elegance of Weidemann.

The original intent for Thinset was to be used strictly as a display font only, but this single weight typeface can at times work great as a body of text as well. During trips to the Miami Beach Public Library as a youth, Jeff Levine first caught sight of the signs made with a product called the Webway Sign Cabinet, manufactured by the Holes- Webway company of St. Cloud, MN. Having purchased an old set, Jeff has carefully re-drawn the alphabet and unique contrasting numbers from the original assortment, adding in an extended character set to his font.

Many alphabet style examples from the Speedball Textbook on pen lettering have offered amateurs and professionals a source of inspiration since its first publication in 1915. A 1940s edition presented a simple sans serif design rendered with the style ‘B’ round nib pen point, and has been recreated as the digital type face Pen Sans Rounded JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Punch Tape JNL emulates the old-style pin-punched paper tapes that were used in everything from ticker tapes to moving electronic signage to early digital typesetting equipment. Pin punch characters were also used in the early days of banking as a secure way of canceling a check so that it was rendered useless if re-submitted. In this version, the "dots" are square rather than round.

Lodestone is a sans serif decorative typeface, and was created by Steve Jackaman (ITF) in 2017. The original design was known as ‘Marvin,’ and was created by Face Photosetting (London) in the early 1970’s. Since the name ‘Marvin’ was in use by another foundry at time of publication, ‘Lodestone’ was born. Lodestone has a clean, retro feel, and is electrifying at display sizes.

Liturgisch was created by Otto Hupp for Klingspor foundry in 1906. The basis of this font is a publication in the magazine "Das Plakat" of October 1921. The font contains contextual alternates, ligatures, discretional ligatures for use in German, ornamental bullets and other OpenType features. It supports all the European languages using Latin alphabets (including slashed S and slashed longs used in Latvian old orthography till 1930s).

A 1920 Dutch poster for Public Placement Services by Johan Dijsktra provided the inspiration for this crisp geometric typeface. Instead of the normal underscore (_), this font features a set of parallel lines flush to the tops of the caps and small caps, which offers some intriguing design possibilities. Both versions of this font include the complete Unicode 1252 Latin and Unicode 1250 Central European character sets.

Twang is the work of British designer Timothy Donaldson, who says its appeal lies in its ugliness. Its irregular, craggy features give it an aggressive, eye-catching edge. The pattern for this graceful, subtly modulated Art Deco typeface was designed by Willard T. Sniffin for American Type Founders in the 1930s. True to the original design, the Swash Caps version features Sniffin's twelve decorative variants. The Postscript and Truetype versions contain a complete Latin language character set (Unicode 1252); in addition, the Opentype version supports Unicode 1250 (Central European) languages as well.

Cadmium has a comprehensive latin character set and many Opentype features to enhance text, including small capitals, case-sensitive forms, superscript and subscript. Plenty of numeral variants include old-style figures, lining figures and fractions. Default numerals are proportionally spaced. Alternative styles for a handful of key characters provide some useful variations where stylistic sets can be implemented. The fonts are presented as four width-based sub-families: Expanded, Normal, Condensed and Compressed. Each width has a matching range of six weights and italics (obliques). Regular and Bold weights are style-linked, together with their respective oblique forms. Each width differs in its basic construction but all fonts share the same vertical metrics and may be used in combination with each other. Letter spacing is optimised for text sizes but is tolerant of significant tracking changes. Cadmium is good for signage, publicity and packaging, screen credits and titling, general print and publication, as well as web and screen applications.

Donatello is a classically proportioned design with subtly tapered strokes, inspired by the lettering on the fifteenth century cantoria by Luca della Robbia in the Museum of the Duomo, in Florence. The design, consisting of caps and small caps, also includes Donatello Alternates -- a compatible set of wider characters. It was designed by Paul Shaw and Garrett Boge in 1997. Donatello is part of the LetterPerfect Florentine Set.

The BOT font package includes two character sets, BOT-Regular and -Stencil. The futuristic looking characters are designed to work in both large scale and small sizes; it works very well as a comfortable, readable lettering on machines of any kind as much as in print and screen publications. Andulka was drawn in 2004 for the purposes of publication and visual identity. Her peaceful expression also excels in poetry and fiction. It reads so smoothly that you won’t even know that its width proportion is actually narrowed, so it’s very suitable for magazines, newspapers and thickest volumes of scientific literature. Her serif counterpart is Andulka. The entire Andulka system can easily build a typography of the entire publishing house.

Based on a fifteenth century Textura Blackletter typeface, Octoberfest has a companion with Lombardic style capitals, Octoberfest Alternate. Both Octoberfest and Octoberfest Alternate use the OpenType ligature feature to automatically substitute a subtly unique pair of distressed characters when any lower case character is keyed twice in a row. The Pro versions of Octoberfest and Octoberfest Alternate extend the character set to support Eastern European and Baltic languages.

We have created this family as a complement to 1906 French News since the two type families were commonly in use in the same publications, including newspapers, popular books, calendars, almanacs and posters. This font, as its name suggests, was mainly used for titlings and subtitles. Small caps, included in the single file of the TTF and OTF versions, are added as a separate file in the MacTT version.

‘Landsdowne Commercial’ is a development of one of our designer’s earlier public domain releases, ‘Landsdowne’. All glyphs have been completely redrawn and refined. An extensive range of stylistic alternates and ligatures have been added, as well as a completely new bold face and several forms of numerals. Landsdowne commercial is ideal for period-inspired design work, such as posters and book covers as well for clear elegant communications.

Inspired in the world of the fast-food, my aim with Burger was to achieve a sexy slab serif font. Since it's not very common to see slabs with swashes I consider this project as an experiment with interesting results. In order to mantain an even weight on the written word, all the glyphs including the swashy ones had to look like compact blocks: This makes the font work much better used with almost no leading, as seen in posters above. Despite the formal look of its genre, this slab serif is also very playful and unique. (Maybe unhealthy food deserves better fonts already, right?) Taste Burger, come on, give it a try! On a more personal note: Why I made this font? Some months ago I started the gym and with it, an strict diet to see some results faster... Maybe my temptation is being, in Lacanian terms, "sublimated" by making delicious and unhealthy fonts.
