Can noise be a beautiful sound? Well, I guess...because the other day when I was playing the good old Bleach album by Nirvana (which I consider lovely grunge music!) my wife yelled "Could you stop that noise?!" - and I answered "What noise?!" - ha-ha-ha! Anyway, I finished this font while listening to that particular lovely noise, and I knew that this crunchy, grungy, handmade and full of contextual alternates and multilingual font had to be named something with the word "noise" in it!

I named this font after one of my favorite songs by Soundgarden: "Rusty Cage". The font is a mishmash of letters, which were hand-drawn and given a photoshop overhaul to make them look grungy and grotesque. I mixed upper and lower case letters, added a whole bunch of alternate letters, spooned in some Salt and Calt and added a pinch of Liga as well. The result is a weird concoction, which looks good on posters, in ads and possibly even tattoos. I dare you!

Like the name suggests, the pi font Afroculture from typeface designer Boule Yvan depicts symbols and figures from African folk art. Stylized masks with different expressions and a number of sculptures lend variety to this font. The figures are consciously simple but shown from different perspectives. The black and white surfaces contrast with another and suggest the interplay between shadow and light. The figures of Afroculture are perfect for illustrating texts in a related context and their details come through best in larger point sizes.

One in the series of fonts called Whiz-Bang Wood Type, intended to be set large and tight. Pilot Point is based on an older font found in Dan X. Solo’s book on Circus Type; the designation fits perfectly. The font gets its name from a small town in Northeast Texas, where several scenes from Arthur Penn’s Bonnie and Clyde were filmed. Both versions of this font contain the Unicode 1252 Latin and Unicode 1250 Central European character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

Around 2018 or 2019, the State of Florida introduced new letter and number characters on its auto plates. Nazari is a typeface for titles with personality, character and multiple alternatives to design. Nazarí is inspired by Arabic lettering and calligraphy, but updates its shapes through games of high contrast, geometric design and rounded terminals. The design for Titulata was based on the need for a titles of extreme weight, dynamics and soft morphology. Strong and clear, it takes graceful form in the line and is legible even in small bodies. The script variable is softer and features some punch-line touches, providing another vision and incorporating traits of manual writing. One important feature is that both styles have the same rendering in text box, reason why signs can be combined without other alteration that the form of the printed word.

Something about the swoopy loops in the uppercase characters of this typeface, originally called "Ronde", reminds one of the signature 'do of a certain real-estate-mogul-turned-TV-celebrity, and so this font was named. To complete its nineteenth-century creds, the font includes classic bishops fingers at the ASCII tilde and ASCII circumflex positions. Bielik was created for a comic book that I’m working on. Main goal was to achieve random character of texts, so I made three glyphs for every letter, even for diacritics. Firstly I was drawing using brush pen with ink, so thickness of letters was really various. I decided to implement this style into a font. So that is how Bielik came into the world. This is good choice for comic books, children books, display designs and much more. Bielik is a polish word for Haliaeetus albicilla.
