Gandur is a display textura in three weights, split into two families: Alte — the German word for old — and New . Gandur was inspired by other geometric texturas, specially Max Bittrof’s Element (1933). The design began by adhering to a strict hexagonal grid, but during its development, slowly moved from a purely geometric to a more pen-based design (this is especially true in the heaviest weights). The differences between Alte and New are essentially morphological, with reflections in the character set and OpenType features. Gandur New has a more humanistic, contemporary structure and is more ‘romanized’ then Alte. Gandur New also features small capitals. Gandur Alte, on the other hand, remains truer to historical forms, most notably: S s X x Z z. Gandur Alte also features the long-s, which can be accessed via a Stylistic Set or the glyph palette. (As is historically accurate, a short-s will be used at the end of words automatically when the historical Stylistic Set has been activated).

AZ Storm was inspired from old '70's skateboard logo. This font was designed for use as a fun bold headline.

An extremely low midline marks this offering, based on an “elegant” alphabet found in Samuel Welo’s chapbook, Lettering: Modern and Foreign, published in 1930 by Frederick J. Drake and Company. Definitely different, and Deco at its most debonair. All versions of this font include the Unicode 1250 Central European character set in addition to the standard Unicode 1252 Latin set.

A while back I created a nice font called Harimau. It is a childish font, with a happy feel to it. Harimau had some unusual glyphs, most notably the 'g' and the 'j', which, for some designers, were a little too unusual. Therefore I have created a new font based on the old Harimau: it is similar, but comes with 'normal' glyphs.

The genuine Futura takes up Paul Renner’s earliest sketches and brings back to life the original stylistic alternatives of the letters a, g, m, and n. Another of its peculiarities is the curved ends of the j, l, and t. It retains its genetic heritage, maintaining a perfect geometry, but with a fresher air than ever. This little charmer combines an uppercase designed by American lettering artist J. M. Bergling with a lowercase designed by English architect Roland W. Paul. The result has a wiggle in its walk and a giggle in its talk: oh, baby, that’s what I like! Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

The Flounder is a simple and clean condensed all-caps sans serif font. It is a close relative of the Floz, but has rounded edges and a wider range of glyphs. Furthermore it is equipped with a bunch of ligatures, as well as alternates for the letters j, w, q and z. It comes in three weights with their respective italics.

This multipurpose display alphabet combines medieval-inspired uppercase letters drawn by famed book illustrator Walter Crane with charming, if somewhat quirky, lowercase letters by J. W. Weekes. Hermann Zehnpfundt’s Enge Journal Antiqua, released by the Emil Gursch Foundry, Berlin, in 1910, revived and redesigned. This font contains also a long s, which can be reached by typing option + b, or turning the round s into the long one by using the OT feature historical forms. It is recommended to also use the OT feature discretionary ligatures to get access to all ligatures in this font.

Coil feels comfortable like a well-worn pair of shoes. It could easily pass for an assertive industrial European sans serif of the early 1960s with its slight reverse contrast, monotonous proportions, and squared-off curves, if not for its less predictable side. What appears initially as ellipses upon closer inspection turns out to be irregular shapes, closer to an inverted egg than an oval. The s looks topsy-turvy with its higher curve that is larger than the lower. Some terminal strokes overhang the bowl (as in the a), others open flat (as in the Q, the f, the j, and the t). The resulting effect shakes up this seemingly “retro” face just to make it new. Our midcentury recollections are slightly distorted and reinterpreted by this ironic typeface making it fresh while deceptively cozy and familiar. Coil’s high x-height and even texture make it readable even in small sizes despite its tight apertures. Available in four weights with their italics, with two sets of figures, fractions, and alternates for Extended Latin and Cyrillic scripts. A clean, smooth rendition of the magnificent B42-type used by Johann Gutenberg in his famous 42-line Bible. In addition to the usual standard characters for typesetting modern texts, the font includes a comprehensive set of special characters, alternates and ligatures, plus Opentype features, that can be used for typesetting (almost) exactly as in Gutenberg’s Bible and later incunabula. Also available as The Oldtype “Gutenberg C” Font in a slightly roughened style simulating irregularities and ink spreads associated with old metal types, papers and parchments. The main historical sources used during the font design process were high-resolution scans from several printings of Gutenberg’s Bible. Other sources were as follows: Kapr, A. A stylistic and square outline font suitable for headlines and logos. The original font contained no diacritics at all, so I have designed these to match. I also made the descenders on "g/j/p/q/y" a bit longer - so they would balance better with the letters with diacritics below the letter... I redesigned the "t", but have included the original "t" as an alternate, available via your programs' glyph palette or using the OpenType functions "Stylistic Alternates"/"ss01". Genotype S BRK Pro is the perfect companion for Genotype H BRK Pro (The H stands for Hollow and the S stands for Solid). Can be used as a fill for its companion (using layers), but is also quite a usable font on its own. Regatta is a bold, narrow sans serif designed by Alan Meeks in 1987. Its strong, robust figures makes it a particularly good font for headlines in larger point sizes. Regatta is distinguished by its diamond shaped dots on i and j as well as the slanted strokes of several figures. These characteristics relax the closed, static image of Regatta and let the font seem cheerful and friendly.

KgStuttgart1930 -- Kunstgewerbeschule Stuttgart 1930 -- is based on a printed sample of a font designed in 1930 at the Stuttgart School of Applied Arts. Found in the book ABZ, more alphabets and other signs by J. Rothenstein and M. Goodings. I recreated the grid and kept some awkward letters of this bauhaus-era inspired design. I created the missing glyphs and added alternate versions of already existing ones.

This set of initial letters was inspired from French renaissance decorated letters. Unfortunately, we don't know where they were in use, or who was the punchcutter, our models were coming from a late XIXth century copy. Note: The letters I and J, U and V are not different. It is not a mistake, but it is the exact reflection of what was customary during the period.

Our most up-to-date Futura adapted to the new times. Its peculiarity lies in the curved endings of three of its letters (“j”, “l” and “t”), which gives the typeface a more dynamic and modern look, making it easier to visualize on small and low-resolution screens.
