Popular music of the early 1900s included a genre called two step; round dances utilizing a sliding step with a tempo in either march or polka time. 1911's "Daughters of the American Revolution" was one such march/two step. The cover of the sheet music had the title hand lettered in a slightly rounded sans serif type design in the Art Nouveau style popular during that era. It is now available as Two Step Nouveau JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.

A burger and a shake - the classic companions! JY Décennie has been designed for both the web and print. Here's a deluxe comic book dialogue font with a vintage feel! Nerves of Steel BB comes with Regular, Italic, Bold, and Bold Italic. Contextual Alternates and Auto-ligatures enable six versions of every letter, and three versions of each number, the exclamation point and question mark. Mariken van Nieumeghen is a late medieval Dutch text from the early 16th century. The protagonist of the play (a young maid called Mariken) spends seven years with the devil (called Moenen), after which she is miraculously released. Mariken is a handmade font, which was based on the works of Robert Granjon (1545-1588), a French type designer and printer. Use it for product packaging, books and posters. This family was inspired by a font carved circa 1590 for a Polish editor. We don't know who was the punchcutter, nor the printer's name. We have added the special East European diacritics (Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Croatian, Slovak, Slovenian, Sorbian )as the original font has only the Polish accents. It is a Garamond type, like our 1592 GLC Garamond or 1589 Humane Bordeaux, rough and a little approximate, but attractive. We recommend using OTF version with Windows Vista, providing a best compatibility.

Fady Lingers is a mispronunciation of that famous Italian cookie - nevertheless, there is nothing awkward or wrong with the font! It is handmade using a thin marker, leaving an uneven edge. I did spend some time cleaning up each letter, but was carefully observant to keep the original handmade and organic look. I've added 4 slightly different versions of each lowercase letter. and they automatically changes as you type - a really great way to make your design stand out as organic and lively!

In a career spanning the early 1900s through 1940, George M. Cohan wrote and produced over 50 plays, 300 songs and was also an actor, singer and dancer. Many of his works honored his Irish roots, and the cover of one piece of sheet music called “The Irish American” (1905) had its title hand lettered in a condensed Art Nouveau type design with tiny spurred serifs. This is now available digitally as Dress Rehearsal JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.

Zagolovochnaya was based on the letterforms of Zagolovochnaya gazetnaya (Newspaper Display) type family of Polygraphmash in 1962 by Iraida Chepil et al. The face was a revival of Cyrillic version of Caslon designed in the late 1930s. The artworks of Zagolovochnaya gazetnaya were redrawn by Isay Slutsker (1924-2002) in the late 1990s. In spite of its name the font is useful both for display and text matter. The digital version was developed for ParaType in 2002 by Manvel Shmavonyan.

Minora is a contemporary sans serif type family of three weights. Glyphs with open, plain and reduced forms are attributes of Minora. Several OpenType features allow different figure sets, fractions and more. Minora had its beginning in 2007 during Alex Meier’s Typedesign study (CAS Typedesign) at the ZHdK in Zurich (Switzerland). After graduation, Alex Meier continued working on this project in a shared studio with his former fellow student Dominique Kerber . He completed this fully developed font in April 2011.

Inspired by some handwritten letter forms originally made by Hermann Zapf for his 1949 book "Pen and Graver", the drawings and designs finally became an entire font. It is an ideal companion to create diplomas, certificates and any other vintage projects. Take advantage of the long s which can be reached when you change the round s by the historical OpenType feature or when you simply type the integral sign [ ∫]. This font contains also swash forms of d, g, and v.

Handu, designed by Alex Jacque in 2012, is an affable hand-drawn sans-serif inspired by the hand-painted type and signage on the streets of Kolkata, India. Fitting then that it come to life with brush and paint. When used for display purposes the organic, painted texture of Handu's glyphs really shines. At smaller point-sizes the hand-drawn aesthetic still translates. Handu comes in two styles, regular and shadow. Use each independently or overlay them for a little youthful emphasis.

Road Picture JNL was modeled after the hand lettered title and credits for the 1940 Bob Hope-Bing Crosby semi-musical comedy “Road to Singapore”, and is available in both regular and oblique versions. Although the lettering design doesn’t resemble anything that was probably used in Singapore at the time, its faux “exotic” look still makes for an interesting revival. Bob Hope and Bing Crosby made a total of seven “road” pictures, hence the homage in the name of this type font.

Cally is a classic looking typeface with decorative vintage elements. It is perfectly suited for label design and for various lettering postcards and invitations. Cally includes the English alphabet, punctuation, numbers and Western European multilingual characters (check out the screenshots with all available characters). Also there are few ligatures and swashes. To access swash glyphs, just type underscore character and number 1-5, like this _1. Using "standard ligature" feature this symbols will be automatically replaced with one of the swash symbols.

F .H. Ernst Schneidler, type designer and teacher, originally designed Schneidler Old Style in 1936 for the Bauer foundry. Stempel Schneidler is based on the typefaces of Venetian printers from the Renaissance period and possesses their grace, beauty, and classical proportions. The Stempel Schneidler, a completely reworked and tuned font family made by D. Stempel AG in Frankfurt, is a fine, legible text font that also works well in display. One of Schneidler's more unique features is its question marks.
