Office Space JNL is based on “Condensed Edina” from the 1921 Miller & Richard type specimen book and is available in both regular and oblique versions. This spurred serif Art Nouveau monoline font is a milestone – marking the 1900th font design released by Jeff Levine Fonts since its inception in January of 2006.

This is a type design based on a retrospective food design posters from 1950 in the United States. The intention was to create handmade letters ideal for handmade projects. The principal reference was the book of Steven Heller Mid-Century Ads. This typeface was the graduation project of my degree as graphic designer.

Rambla is a humanist sans for medium-long texts. It’s slightly condensed, with a generous x-height and short ascender/descenders. Its proportions have as objective to gain space in height and width. It’s elegant at large sizes and legible at the same time, with a lot of rhythm in small sizes.

Girder Poster, also named Spurred Gothic, was inspired by showcard lettering samples featured in the book, Commercial Art Of Show Card Lettering, published in 1945. Although similar to Cooper Bold, Girder Poster's serifs are spurred and the design's inception came out of theatrical poster studios of the mid 1900's in New York.

Templit JNL is one of a number of fonts modeled from actual lettering stencils by Jeff Levine. This one takes its style from a set of individual letters and numbers used for marking and identifying objects. Some of the letters and numbers have solid shapes rather than traditional stencil breaks in the characters.

Experimental and accidental unicase grotesque. A font in which all the letters and numbers fell down and deformed under the force of gravity. Everything that was hanging fell down. Everything that was curved horizontally straightened. The form and principle of construction of each symbol in the font is dictated not by tradition, but by physics. This makes FE Planking 2020 an excellent tool for creating phrases and statements in advertising and art projects that attract attention and make your head spin. The first free version with a minimum set of Latin and Cyrillic alphabets was released in 2019, and in 2020 the font was updated and supplemented with an expanded set of characters. OldHaroldRee is a modification of PhederFrack, a calligraphic fraktur face. It keeps the lower case letters and inserts a completely different set of upper-case letters, which is in the “Old English” rather than the “Old German” or fraktur style. It comes in two weights, a bit unusual for an Old-English style typeface.

Moore 003 was inspired by Henryk Tomaszewski's poster lettering for the Moore Exibition (Warsaw, Poland 1959). The headline "Moore" is composed of paper collage. The lettering, in Tomaszewski's vision, contrasts in ways that recall the contrast of Moore's sculptures. It was my intention to continue this research using lettering in the form of a typeface.

“Grendel Regular” Evolved out of a hand lettering piece I designed for a record album (Royal Crescent Mob). Inspired by old gothic forms, my intention was to create a playful letter form that could be used in an antique as well as a modern context such as food product packaging or fun video projects, etc.

It was our initial intention to develop a suitable lowercase for Les Usherwood's Elston typeface, based on a few characters from an old German typeface called Hermes Grotesque (Woellmer, Berlin). The new design became Creighton. Then, for good measure we decided to experiment with a 'crisper version' of this design; the result is 'Megaphone'.

Inspired by various shapes such as leaves, flowers, hearts etc., Apresia Script is harmonically crafted. My first intention is only for standard design, but, later added simpler characters for normal(standard) typings. Apresia Script is rich with capital letter variants and ornaments. There are also lowercase variants in lesser numbers. I assume that many or perhaps most people want to have their name or the other of their important designs to be written with some letters that are in various shapes harmoniously. Apresia Script with more then 4000 glyphs support this aim, also support many latin based languages. However, because of many variations, except the standard characters, the full marked capitals are only set in two variants; in ss01 and ss02, which is also some marked lowercases included here. Swash variants (swsh) consist only one variant of every uppercase and lowercase characters, but no marked characters. All the others capital and lowercase variants are put in stlystic alternatives (salt). There are tens of unmarked caps and fewer for unmarked lowercase in salt (see Apresia Script opentype features(1) poster for some). The ornaments can be accessed via opentype ornaments(ornm), using less() characters for easier access. There are also beginning small letter(lowercase) ornaments, end word(lowercase) ornaments and insertion ornaments to make your typing/design more flourish, using ornm via “[“ (bracketleft), “]” (bracketright) and “\” (backslash), respectively. For marks; marks via combining marks and mkmk was set for many characters variants, however, it seem most applications not yet support this features. Alternatively, you can add non standard unicode combining marks via ornaments for the language supported: asterisk “*” list for uppercase marks above letters; ASCIIcircum “^” list for lowercase marks above letters; underscore “_” for uppercase and lowercase marks below the letters; numbersign “#” for slashing characters, horn, caron alternate and reversed comma for g, (see Apresia Script opentype features(2) poster and save it if you download the font). Thus, it is recommended to have the application which are support these opentype features such as: Adobe in Design, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW or others for easier accessing the glyphs. Still, for non supported applications, you can insert these glyphs via Character maps, insert symbols or other similar tools. Apresia Script will go for most typing/design such as invitation, wedding card, greeting card, banners, logos and many others. Use it for whatever you intended to, Apresia script will give an amazing end design, though you are not a designer. As intended to be able to be used by many, this font is set in an affordable price. The font "TG APM" was designed by me for a boutique coffee shop. This font is used in the coffee shop's logo and draws inspiration from the sun and the moon. The sun represents daytime, while the moon symbolizes nighttime. The intention is to convey that coffee is available throughout the day, helping you stay awake and composed.

The orthography was invented in 1952 by a Sufi Sheikh, named Hussein Sheikh Ahmed Kaddare. A phonetically robust writing system, the technical commissions that appraised the Kaddare alphabet concurred that it was the most accurate indigenous script and orthography for transcribing the Somali language. Kaddare uses both upper and lower case letters, with the lower case represented in cursive.

Somaskript Tall shares the same concept as Somatype Skwosh, namely a desire to ignore traditional rules and re-scale along one axis only. This time the starting point was Somaskript and the end result is a condensed & uniquely elegant display face, vertically extended by the process but with legibility very much intact and its personality preserved.

Designed by Wilhelm C. Pischner, Neuzeit-Grotesk first appeared in 1928 with the font foundry D. Stempel AG. In 1966, Neuzeit S was introduced by Linotype-Hell AG, intended for large bodies of text and predecessor of Siemens corporate design. Neuzeit S is timeless, combining strength of form and objectivity and legible even on inferior papers.

Plastic Display JNL was sketched from photo examples in an old sales promotion sheet for the Movitex Do-It-Yourself Plastic Sign Kit. The set was manufactured by Pryor Marking Products of Chicago, and featured a board with pre-spaced holes in a grid to which the letters and numbers would be inserted to form the sign.

Songbook JNL is based on a promotional blurb from the back of a piece of vintage sheet music. Its interesting style of slab serif lettering with strong Art Deco influence was worthy of re-drawing into a digital typeface. This design is the 900th release from Jeff Levine Fonts since its inception in January of 2006.

Because of the geometric basis of its forms, Memphis is often thought of as a font for technical fields, making a rational, purposeful impression. This emphasis on objectivity is well-suited to technical texts, but Memphis is appropriate for any text which should exhibit a clear, neutral character. Some weights are available as soft rounded versions.

Okay, we admit it! Comicraft's latest offering -- wrenched heavy-handedly from the pages of CHARLEY LOVES ROBOTS – is definitely a little awkward, maybe even loose-limbed and goofy. Those (usually) awfully nice chaps in the Comicraft studio are perhaps best known for their dexterity, their lightness of touch and nimbleness of finger rather than the kind of bungling, graceless, clumsy work evident in their latest digital alphabet. So, yes, MALADROIT is probably the most inept, cack-handed, undiplomatic addition to our catalogue ever submitted by freewheelin' John Roshell (formerly GAUCHE-ell) but might just possibly be the perfectly wrong font choice for your more bungling, inept, incompetent and hamfisted characters.

Bacterio is a typeface I designed for this hulk of a friend of mine who is a kitchen designer. He is huge but has a very delicate feeling for form. One day he said he was trying out something new and if I couldn't make a font for him. Then he showed me the surface design, a hard-plastic covered multilayered wood.
