Árida pays homage to the Argentinian city of San Juan, located in the semi-desert Cuyo region, where cacti are abundant; a characteristic feature of arid habitats. Árida, inspired by the vegetation of the place, looks sharp and aggressive at large sizes but it also feels friendly at a smaller scale⁠—portraying the dichotomy between humans and nature. I started designing Volupia in 2004 and the main goal was to create a very casual font with some characteristics than we can find in some old commercial advertisements. I used to live in the English Lake District - in a town called Ambleside to be precise. It was a nice time in my life, as living in the Lake District gave me the opportunity to go out every day and enjoy the beautiful nature! Troutbeck is a small, old fashioned village on the narrow and hilly road from Windermere to Penrith. If you ever make it there, you will discover that the area is a walhalla for hikers! Troutbeck font is a pleasing, handmade all caps font. It would look great on product packaging or book covers, or maybe postcards reading ‘Greetings from the Lake District’.

Nauman Neue is a modern humanist sans serif typeface made for the screen.
