MondialPlus is, as the name implies, a font meant for the whole world. MondialPlus is the newer and better version of Mondial. MondialPlus is designed to work in small sizes for bodytext. Only in bigger sizes does the font show its hidden character, it has a curved design to it, that makes it very special. Mondial is a very elegant and versatile font in the tradition of french sans typefaces.

Script font developed for ParaType in 2007 by Gennady Fridman based on informal handwriting. The handwriting belongs to a woman of middle class that have found her place in the life and does not pretend to get more. It produces a feeling of reliability and promptness. The font can be used for advertising of house goods and in other printed materials where it's important to show informality and personal attitude.

Kazootie was inspired by cut-paper shapes and named after the hand puppet character Rootie Kazootie in a 1950s children's television show. Kazootie is a light-hearted and fun display font with a big, strong voice and crisp confident stride. Best for headlines and larger text in picture books, Kazootie is all caps, but you can type your letters in uppercase or lowercase to access two different variants of the style.

A remixed variation, available in three weights, of the popular Talbot Type geometric sans Kaleko 105 . Bornholm Tejn is named after the Tejn village on the only rocky island in Denmark, Bornholm. It is the first face in a series of rough stone cut typefaces, that shares proportions, but differs in any other aspect like different pieces of rock. It is powerful face, but still very friendly. Good for very big sizes, but can be used for small texts, movie titles, cartoons and more.

Mestizo is a term traditionally used in Latin America and Spain for people of mixed heritage or descent. In some countries it has come to mean a mixture of European and Amerindian. The font Mestizo is based on a strict grid system – but combines it with ethnic symbolism. Six weights can be combined in various ways. An image of a vintage British lettering stencil set [probably circa 1960s] spotted in an online auction inspired North End Stencil JNL. The original lettering was a hybrid of both stencil and solid letter forms, but for the digital version all of the characters were given the stencil treatment. North End Stencil JNL is named after a district in London, and the type face is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Bezura is a font designed with an emphasis on minimal nodes. All bezier curves in this font have reference points on 90° or 45°. All corners have a smooth curve to them. It would probably work great when used in vinyl-cutting applications on signage. While it has a very methodical construction, there is enough sway in the font to give it a loose feel for professional projects with an unprofessional feel.

Fragment Pro Inline is a part of a larger OpenType font family (see also Fragment Pro). It is an elegant, soft and decorative typeface built on classical proportions. Its outlines have been carefuly crafted with a high attention to detail, so it could be used even at very large sizes. Fragment is a layered typeface – you can either use the standalone version of Fragment Inline or combine its two layers (Lit and Shadow) to achieve various color effects. It is not recommended to use “inline” layers separately. Instead, choose the separately sold Fragment Pro, which has been significantly optimized for standalone use. The two great technical constraints a type designer can tackle are low resolution, which limits detail and dictates proportions between negative and positive shapes, and uniform width, which restricts each letter to a fixed horizontal space. Wrestle with both at once, and each letter becomes a black-and-white chessboard that challenges every design decision. Sometimes battling these constraints gets in the way of a good idea, but other times, tinkering with fewer options can make the job irresistibly easy and lead straight to a grid addiction. Gridlite, an experiment with a modular negative space, is the side effect of such an addiction. It’s simplified, monospaced, and variable: foreground and background alike are ready to be animated, typed, scaled up, scaled down, rounded, or otherwise deformed. Gridlite is primarily a variable font with axes that control the size of the elements, their shape, and the background (one for the rectangular field and one for the compact envelope around the letters). Here I present Round - a type family that is derived form Epilepsja, which was my first alphabet commercially out. After its release I came to think that there should be other fonts of this design that would enrich the variety of choice. Here comes ‘Epilepsja Round’ which is soft and friendly while the Regular family remains firm and sharp. It supports all Latin-based European and African languages and acts as a multicolour layered font. best for headlines, titles and other display uses.. It is an all-caps alphabet of stencil-sprayed and painted letters found in the city space. The glyphs are simple but unordinary. Every letter has something from Escher-like 3D illusion, but is flat simultaneously. Epilepsja Round consists of three styles: Outline, Solid and Fill. Outline is the base from which the other two styles are created. When you mix Solid with Fill, you can create two-color Outline style. You can even mix it with not-Round Epilepsja! Solid is neat and legible in small sizes. Use it for posters, headlines, magazines, websites or anything you like.

Guilloches were – in the old days – used to make the falsification of banknotes more difficult. The engraving of these intricate lines was done by a highly specialized mechanical machine, which was operated by an equally highly specialized engraving artist. Once the settings for a specific curve were changed back to zero it was very difficult, if not impossible to set them back to the old design. I have designed a useful set of Guilloches that join to form ribbons that create a kind of op-art 3d effect. Under the keys A-U and a-u you find joining pieces. Under the keys V-Z and v-z I placed start- and endpieces. 0-4 are different lenght straight extensions and 5-9 are not quite so straight extensions. All other keys are corner pieces that can be used as stand-alones or put in rows to make for superb decoration. DESIGN STORY—THE FORGOTTEN SANS by Dave Lawrence, Lead Designer, California Type Foundry Adrian Frutiger was the 20th century master of sans, but I didn't realize he had made—not one—but TWO geometric sans! It wasn't until I had purchased the book “Adrian Frutiger: Typefaces”. I had hoped to someday meet Adrian Frutiger, but he passed away that very same year. Here is the story of Frutiger's forgotten sans. Back in 1968, Frutiger was approached by Pentagram to make a design for British Petroleum. They wanted a "new version of Futura". However, they wanted him to make a couple adjustments. First, they felt that Futura was "too fiddly." By this, they meant that it narrowed too much at the joins. (Joins are for example where the round and straight parts of the 'd' meet.) This is something that is necessary for small print text (to prevent ink clogging), but is not necessary at large sizes. Second, they wanted it to be entirely geometric, using the circular shape with minimal optical corrections. Unfortunately this font was not even used very consistently in the BP brand. A haphazard mix of Futura and Frutiger's BP font ensued. It was then replaced by another font design very soon after. My design is different in several ways. First, the commas and quotes are a more modern style. I tried his original commas, but these just didn’t work to 21st century eyes. Second, in his drawings, Frutiger went for a more standard u with a downstroke on the right. However, Oceanwide has a simpler u. Third, I made more optical adjustments. At the direction of his employer, Frutiger reluctantly put no font optical corrections into the letters. So I think my optical adjustments are similar to what Frutiger would have wanted. Fourth, I extended the weight into the light and extra light ranges. Fifth, the rest of the font I created according to the principles of Adrian Frutiger, but with no sources for inspiration. Here is Frutiger’s design philosophy, in his own words: “If you remember the shape of your spoon at lunch, it has to be the wrong shape. The spoon and the letter are tools; one to take food from the bowl, the other to take information off the page... When it is a good design, the reader has to feel comfortable because the letter is both banal and beautiful.” The words about the spoon were the ones I kept in my mind as I tried to make the curves ultra smooth, and the shapes ultra simple. Hopefully this font is a worthy successor to the font that inspired it.
