The 1951 sheet music of "I Like the Wide Open Spaces" has the cover title set in a casual type design that emulates the "one stroke" or "speed letter" style so popular with sign painters in that decade. The origin of this family is the classic French-Belgian comics. Bodoni Classic Swashes is my personal addition to Bodoni’s family of typefaces. Bodoni did not design a decorative version. His quest was for purity in book design. Even though in his days it was not called design; he thought of himself purely as a printer. This is the first of several Eastern fonts I have created and is the prize of the collection. The Pravoslavnie font is highly decorative, with a more complicated letter ‘a’ and a series of flourishes substituting for punctuation. Like its sister font, Pravoslavnie 3 is highly decorative. Greenalyzed is a made up word is a font that could set your mind to something handmade and eco friendly. The letters are clumsy and childish naive, but really fun and legible. Comes in 3 different versions: Regular, Rough and Stitch. The Stitch version is good as a top or shadow layer. Galangal, or Laos, is a root belonging to the ginger family, which is used in Indonesian cuisine. Since this font has the same design characteristics as Kurkuma, I thought naming it after a root was quite appropriate. Galangal is pretty unique, with thin and fat areas, bizarre glyphs and rough edges. Upper and lower case are fully interchangeable and the typeface comes with a full range of diacritics.

Since the advent of computer lettering in comicbooks, it has become commonplace to use letterforms with a mechanical look for mechanical sound effects. In my time as a hand-letterer of comicbooks I used hand-drawn letterforms for all sound effects, including mechanical ones.
