Art Nouveau lettering on the cover of sheet music for the 1911 song "The Skeleton Rag" (by Edward Madden and Percy Wenrich) is both the lettering inspiration and namesake for Skeleton Rag JNL.

The hand-lettered name of the "Junior Showcard Printer" (a 1930s-era rubber stamp printing set manufactured by the Superior Marking Equipment Company of Chicago) served as the prototype for Junior Printer JNL.

Corkboard JNL is a bold, yet fun rounded-ends typeface that was popular in the 1970s and enjoying a revival amongst students and teachers via die-cut bulletin board letters. Five variations are offered—Regular, Slanted, Shadow, Shadow Slanted and Kiddies. Corkboard Kiddies JNL has a limited character set and eccentric spacing that emulates the way a child might put letters onto a bulletin board.

ITC Tiffany font was designed by Edward Benguiat, a highly contemporary blend of two fonts, Ronaldson and Caxton. The best characteristics of both were combined to produce a refined and refreshing font, ITC Tiffany.

After the Second World War, the Ionic style replaced Modern Face as the favored typeface for newsprint. A couple decades later, it was in turn replaced by the next generation of newspaper fonts, a mix of Old Face, Transitional and Modern Face forms. Olympian itself tends toward the Old Face style but is nevertheless an example of this new generation, a result of a time of change and experimentation.

This book and newspaper font was designed by Francesco Simoncini in 1958. After the Second World War brought type design to a standstill, the years of reconstruction meant a reconsideration of old values in the typographical world as well as in Europe in general. Aster is the result of this movement, displaying instead of Modern Face influence, a tendency toward Transitional characteristics and giving text a light feel.

Linotype Gavotte was designed by Rudo Spemann in 1940. His style was unmistakable, marked by original ideas and completely new forms. His tendency toward the unusual and adventurous resulted in unique, decorative characters. When he wrote, the tip of his pen flew across the page, leaving behind rows of letters which displayed an almost unbelievable regularity of form and flow. Gavotte is a perfect example of the best of Spemann’s calligraphy.

Rundfunk-Antiqua was originally designed as a font for small point size and shorter texts. It was presented 1933/35 by Linotype Designstudio but unfortunately never developed as a font family, including only Antiqua roman and sans-serif bold. Such an unusual combination resulted from the font combinations common during that time. The font’s basic forms tend toward the Transitional style but its details come from the influence of Jugendstil.

ROMANICA is a relaxed humanist sans with subtly curved corners and slightly flared glyphic terminals that are expressively angled where appropriate. Romanica has the authority of the ages without the harshness of many classically inspired typefaces. This is a headline typeface for titles with a retro sensibility. The concave first projection of the vowel and the dot shape further add to the retro feel. It is characterized by the dot shape seen in the initial consonants and the thin ending strokes of 'ㄱ', 'ㅅ', and 'ㅈ' to create a flowing curve. Although it is a full module, the inner space created by the large contrast of strokes gives a cool feeling. This font contains KOREAN

Vowels produce 'end-characters'. These are used whenever a string of symbols start or end. Consonants make 'middle-characters'. Numerals are zero-width characters. these can be used whenever you feel like it, they will float above and below the string of symbols. Puncuation adds extra spice. AZ Plug Italic font is inspired from a combination of original early 1900’s Edward Penfield and Franz Hazenplug poster art. This font is designed for use as a worn and antiqued headlines or subheadlines.

Cooper Poster was inspired by showcard lettering samples featured in the book, Commercial Art Of Show Card Lettering, published in 1945. Although named ""Western"", the design was modeled after Ozwald Cooper's 1921 original Cooper Black.

Houschka Rounded Alt is a carbon copy of the Houschka Rounded family with one key difference: the rounded signature glyphs A & W on the default positions swap places with their straight alternates. Houschka was named after Georg Houschka, a sadly defunct confectioner’s shop in Salzburg, Austria, which had a wonderful 1930s frontage and distinctively rounded letterforms in the sign above the door. Font Makenn01 is inspired by Asen Petrov’s Perfograma font , based on in the IBM Harvard Mark 1 machines the first electromagnetic computer presented by Howard Aiken this november 84 years ago ,in fact this basic technology received its instructions and data trough punched tapes . It is therefore an interpretation in wich circumferences have been used instead of circles linked with a line , and the name used also refers to Mark 1 calling it Makenn 01 , giving a touch of identity since this name resembles , Carmen my name , the 01, is like a restart of 0 , with the 1 of the Mark 1. Prolexia is designed to make the font friendly towards those with dyslexia. All the characters are unique with no rotation or mirroring, this makes it harder for the mind to mix up similar glyphs. The characters are made with the illusion of perspective: this helps orient characters in the correct direction to make mental reorientation harder. Finally the o shape is somewhat flattened, this also helps to counteract mental rotation of characters.

The hand lettered title on the sheet music for "Gee, But I'd Like to Make You Happy" (from the 1930 MGM motion picture "Good News") presented a conundrum. Some of the lettering was a classic Art Deco "thick and thin" design while the others resembled comic book title lettering. Leaning toward the comic book style, the conflicting letters were revised and the finished result became Funny Business JNL; available in both regular and oblique versions.

Genevieve Cerasoli created the font in 1997. ITC Arnova is a calligraphy typeface with pronounced stroke contrast and rough contours. The characters have pointed strokes and sit on the baseline leaning diagonally sometimes toward and sometimes away from one another and both characteristics give ITC Arnova a lively, dynamic feel. This font remains legible in point sizes as small as 8 and is well-suited to headlines and short to middle length texts.

Mechanikschrift, roughly German for “mechanical writing”, is a typeface from Noah Rothschild and Victory Type. The aesthetic of this font is just what its name points towards: machine-like structure with a German flare. Minimalism is often associated with German design, and Mechanikschrift is a minimalist typeface. Furthermore, the designs of the characters, outside of the general theme of squared-off corners and angular appearance, are related to Herbert Bayer’s work at the Bauhaus.

If you are into the vintage feel, you will love this one. This is as vintage as it probably gets. There are probably only a handful of places in the world where schools still use blackboards and chalk – they’ve given way to their white board and marker counterparts for decades now. White boards are definitely more practical and less messy when compared to chalk, but then if you are creatively inclined you will agree that a little bit of mess is worth it if you are going to get the effects that you desired! As the name suggests, this font gives you that distinctly unique chalk on slate feel, and if you are wondering what’s distinct about it; writing on slate or blackboard was a slow process which required deliberated and concentrated efforts resulting in a handwriting which was usually quite different to a person’s handwriting on paper.
