Meet the new TT Trailers! The first version of TT Trailers was conceived as a font suitable for the film industry. The font harmoniously looks in posters, it is ideally suited for setting titles. However, the font has gained wide popularity among designers, and now you can find TT Trailers on the covers of magazines, on restaurant signs and on the main pages of websites. TT Trailers useful links: Specimen | Graphic presentation | Customization options Since 2019 when we released the first version, the TypeType studio team has released dozens of fonts, constantly improving our skills. In 2022, we decided to look at TT Trailers again, improving and expanding the font. In the new TT Trailers, we expanded the character set, corrected the contours, and improved the technical content. We have added extended Latin and Cyrillic characters, new symbols, and additional sets of numbers. The number of glyphs in one style has increased from 1081 to 1242. The inclined styles were long-awaited. The italics in TT Trailers are as eccentric as the upright fonts. The 15-degree tilt looks absolutely harmonious, complementing the character of the font family. We added italics to the variable font, so the new font changes along two axes at once, weight and slant. From the technical point of view, TT Trailers has become more modern and correct, and the number of OpenType features has increased from 29 to 42. We have added new alternative versions of glyphs and created a large number of localized features. The font retained all the qualities thanks to which designers fell in love with it, but became even more convenient. TT Trailers in the new version is suitable for titles and posters, for websites and printed materials. The font will embellish in restaurant and cafe signs and look beautiful in posters. After a long process of painstakingly detailed revision, Frutiger and the design staff at Linotype completed this large joint project in 1997. The result: a brilliant and cohesive font family of 63 weights and styles including the 4 monospaced typewriter weights. All the existing weights were completely redrawn, with careful attention paid to making the proportions more consistent with each other and improving fine details such as curves and thick-to-thin stroke ratios. The family was expanded from 27 to 63 weights, providing a much larger framework to graphic designers for choosing just the right style. The bold and condensed weights were reworked for improved legibility and on-screen application. The stroke weights were revised for consistency within each face as well as in relationship to the other weights. By following Frutiger's original designs, the humanist character of the sans serif Univers now comes through more distinctly. The systemized numbering system has also been updated. With its sturdy, clean forms Univers can facilitate an expression of cool elegance and rational competence. In fact, the strong familial relationships between all the styles and weights make it a serviceable choice for large graphic design projects that require versatility with consistency. Answer Songs have been around for [probably] just as long as there have been songs. 1917's "If I Catch the Guy Who Wrote Poor Butterfly" was the answer to the 1916 hit "Poor Butterfly" [by Raymond Hubbell and John Golden], which in turn was inspired by the Puccini opera "Madame Butterfly". "Poor Butterfly" was so popular that this "answer" tune had as part of its lyrics "That melody haunts me in my sleep; it seems to creep." Nonetheless, the sheet music for William Jerome and Arthur Green's comic lament had the title hand lettered with an oval nib lettering pen and is now availably as a digital type face called Dip Pen JNL.

Endurance Pro was designed by Steve Matteson to fill the need for a more graceful, less industrial-looking neo-grotesque sans serif design. The name Endurance lends itself to the reality that the typeface was designed to work well under extreme conditions from billboards to mobile phone screens. Endurance Pro was designed with on-screen legibility as a key attribute, and with careful detailing for a more polished appearance in large sizes. Endurance Pro has an wide-ranging character set with WGL support (Greek, Cyrillic and Eastern European characters) to meet the needs of multinational companies and creative professionals who desire OpenType's typographic features (with old style figures, proportional figures, fractions, superiors and a slash zero).

Bengala is a font based on Calligraphy & Geometry designed by Carlos Fabián Camargo. Its purpose is to be an innovative typographic system combining Script letters with geometric and hard Caps letters. The contradictory styles are ideal for designing covers, posters, branding and packaging. Its smooth calligraphic look meticulously incorporates characters to design logos and phrases that communicate dynamism and strategy. Bengala Script was inspired by Mistral by R. Excoffon. Bengala Script provides violent and unstable lines with generous spacing between the letters and tight horizontal proportions, producing showy upper and lower case italics inspired by French Gothic calligraphy late fifteenth century. For this reason, Bengala Script retains some uninterrupted calligraphic logic, up and down sometimes higher or shorter than the height of the lowercase, creating dynamism through a variable amount of contrast between thick and thin strokes. Bengala Dingbats has 62 drawings designed to accompany the designs. Script and Caps Bengala have different gender and the similar X height produces more visual appeal. This way Bengala Caps - inspired by the Porshe logo, due to its geometric uppercase Roman construction, extended horizontal proportions, light caliber, rounded strokes terminations and generous spacing between letters. Based on the late 1970s artwork by outstanding Armenian type designer Henrik Mnatsakanyan (1923-2001). That was the only design created by Mnatsakanyan for Latin and Cyrillic. Digital version with adding the missing characters was designed for ParaType in 2003 by Manvel Shmavonyan. The font name Henman proposed by Mnatsakanyan is formed of the first three letters from the each designer's name: HENrik and MANvel. Some fractured elements make the face informal and a little bit funny. For use in text, advertising and display matter.

Option is a modern condensed sans serif. Inspired by geometric architectural fonts. But despite the geometric construction every single letter was build based on optical evaluation. This approach makes Option more organic and lively in a text line. Option was created for wide spaces. Condensed and thin, but extremely sweeping vertically font makes your massage elegance and strong. The font functions great in many sizes and surroundings. In Holland we eat pancakes with black syrup and I always thought that this ‘suikerstroop’ was the same as molasses. Turns out that’s not the case; syrup is made from sugar, but molasses is a by-product of the sugar refining industry. To celebrate the fact that I learned something new, I named this font family Black Molasses. Black Molasses was made using various cheap brushes and Chinese Ink. It comes in a ‘fat’ version and a ‘light’ version that work together really well.

The Brunette font was created with the sole purpose to serve companies that want to express character, emotion, and personal touch through their logotypes (think Bakeries, Juice Bars, Cafes, Jewelry stores, etc.) Brunette was made entirely from scratch (handwritten letters on paper), which were then vectorized and tweaked to gain consistency. Preta, portuguese for a very pure kind of black, has its name very related to its concept: I wanted to make the fattest/darkest script ever. People who follow my work may notice its forms are very related to works of my past (1) but this time the challenge was to be very cautious with the white spaces between letters. Not only I followed some rules and ductus of the copperplate style of calligraphy but also I took a lot of inspiration in posters of the early Art Nouveau (specially in Alfred Roller of the Vienna Secession) where letters forms looked like black squares if not looked from a close distance. With Preta, I wanted to achieve that same idea of “darkness” and thanks to the always welcomed question -what if?- the font grew a lot. The result is a very fat font, that looks delicious. Due to possible customer needs, I designed Preta Small, so it can be used in smaller sizes. Preta Ao Sol (which literally means under the sun!) is a style with those lovely tiny details to give the sensation of bright. Preta Ao Sol Solo was made to be used as a layered font with Preta. Finally, Preta Capitals serves as a company for Preta. Hope you enjoy the font as much as I did when designing it: The fact that it’s full of alternates, swashes, ligatures and swirls makes it really pleasurable at the moment of using it. Hello, friends! I recently bought myself an old game console, the SEGA Mega Drive 2. For a long time I couldn't understand why, when I was a kid, it seemed incredible to play it. Nowadays there are a lot of games with stunning graphics and realism, but still there is something warm and light in old games. Maybe it's just a memory of a carefree childhood. After playing it, I decided to create this font so that everyone could do something in the style of old games that an army of designers and programmers hadn't worked on yet. Homenko was the only Ukrainian typeface for metal type casting developed in the last century. It has already become a 'classic'. Vasyl Homenko worked on it from 1964 to 1967. The typeface successfully combines the qualities of lineal humanist typefaces with the Ukrainian tradition of asymmetrical slab serif. The works on its digitization and further development has been in progress since 2000. The present version contains Latin Extended characters, Cyrillic with stressed alternates and several ornaments based on Vasyl Homenko's works. It works perfectly for books for children and is ideal for publications related to culture, history, literature and traditional art of Ukraine and other nations of Eastern Europe.

I really like the moments when classic meets modern. Mathieu was inspired, by the proportions, texture and elegance of Renaissance typefaces, and by the works of Dutch typographers, in whom I have always appreciated the balance between the traditional approach and experiment. Mathieu has the features of a sans-serif typeface, but you can feel delicate notes of calligraphy through humanistic details. The whole family has several width options complemented by a slightly slanted but expressive italics – making it suitable for both longer texts and for use in visual identities. Karol Mularczyk and Małgorzata Bartosik worked on the project creatively directed by Mateusz Machalski.

Fun Signs JNL comprises twenty-six humorous signs from a 1930s-era sales list of products manufactured by the Koehler Sign Company of St. Louis, Missouri. Koehler manufactured a large line of stock cardboard "Blue Signs" (presumably blue backgrounds with white lettering) and alongside the many standard phrases used by various businesses was a list of funny sayings. Such placards were bought by merchants to either evoke interest in their services (such as in a bar or restaurant, or jokingly comment on their business policies (as in credit billing). These novelty signs are a fun addition to a flier, ad, web page or announcement and will leave your readers smiling.

Hand drawn serif typeface designed for one of our books. It has upper and lowercase characters with up to three alternate glyphs. Build in OpenType Contextual Alternates feature will automatically set alternate glyphs depending on frequency of appearance of the same character (even in web font but only in HTML5 browsers). The script doesn’t throw random glyphs. For example in the word “HIPPOPOTAMUS” you will automatically get three different “P” glyphs and two “O” glyphs. It really works great but of course you can always fine tune it by hand. Mrs Ant has an older brother. Mr Anteater was designed for headers for the same book.

TG Aqsa Grotesque Pro is the latest version of the font that was previously released in 2017, TG Aqsa Grotesque. In this latest version there are several optical fixes on each glyphs. In this latest version also added 2 new weights namely black and ultra black so that TG Aqsa Grotesque Pro has 6 fonts of different weights. Still maintaining the sans serif grotesque style coupled with the improvement of the letter form make TG Aqsa Grotesque Pro have a good level of readability when applied as a body text. And this version also has extended latin which will support more than 90+ different languages.

Cassius & Cassius Italic are a postmodern typeface system from the Garaldes family. The main characteristic of this type family is its inverted anatomy and projected terminals. Cassius was meticulously designed with special focus on its structure. With its proposal for a fresh, attractive and rhythmic system, Cassius gives great personality to all kinds of composition. The family consists of 5 weights from regular to black, with respective Italics. Each instance includes; Case sensitives Accents, Ligatures, Fractions, Small Caps, Old Style Figures, Case Sensitives (symbols and punctuation) and more. This font is perfect for books and magazines compositions, and in general for the construction of immersive printed or digital texts.

Blanket is a friendly, baby-soft typeface with a gentle slant. With the warmth of an italic but less of the speed, it is designed primarily for use on child oriented material. The ‘schoolbook’ a and g are default, but the more adult double storey versions are available through stylistic sets / stylistic alternates. Blanket is child friendly without being childish. Typographically sophisticated, it features a wealth of figure styles, automatic fractions, ligatures, alternates, case sensitive forms and a small spattering of swashes. Although the intent was to make a typeface fit for children’s books, the finished product works well anywhere a casual (but not sloppy) look is desired.

Hideko is a visually unique font that has the essence of both serif and san-serif fonts through integrating the body structure of san-serif while retaining the calligraphy from serif. Hideko was inspired by synthesizing Japanese calligraphy and western letters. During the process of creating Hideko, I attempted to make a font only for oriental use, but the result is a font with versatile uses. This multicultural font is most effectively used for oriental restaurants but is also ideal for western cafes, posters, books, etc. Along with the cultural synthesis of Japanese and western letters, Hideko features various ligatures, stylistic alternates, fractions, and languages as well.

“Greuceanu” is the the name of a brave romanian fairy tale character and his mission was to eliberate de Sun and the Moon that were stolen by some Dragon like creatures that in romanian folklore they are called “ Zmei”. It inspired me to create this decorative uppercase display typeface with strong influences from old cyrillic writing and also a touch of fun and geometrical construction explorations. Besides Extended Latin Support it includes also Cyrillic and Greek alphabets as you already can expect from most of DePlictis Types releases. This decorative typeface goes well for use in book covers and headlines and only your creativity is the limit of its usability.

Controller is a geometric rounded sans serif including 5 weights and corresponding obliques and their extended style are ready. Originally, the designer was inspired by a mixture of techno and organic design in the end of 20th century around the West Coast. The letterforms of this font are designed geometric but are also slightly rounded to make a natural, warm and organic impression. Marons is my first font release of 2020. I created Marons from the initial sketch to the digital process and until it was released it took less than 2 months after I launched Black Quality. Marons is an elegant font that I combined from script and serif fonts, thus creating a unique and bold impression. Each Marons letter also has an additional alternate glyph and many variations of swash options, so you can use this font to create logo designs, header texts, t-shirt designs, YouTube cover texts, wedding designs, and others. With its many glyphs, Marons is indeed worthy of being called a collection of fonts in early 2020.

In the July 24, 1915 issue of “Dry Goods Reporter” is a demonstration of hand lettering rendered with the use of a “speed pen”. Two suggested examples cited in the accompanying article were the Payzant pen and the then-new Speedball pen. An ornate Art Nouveau serif alphabet is displayed, with some examples having delicate floral elements entwining the letters. The initial alphabet was auto-traced, then cleaned-up and modified to recreate the core design of the basic (unadorned) letters. The numerals, punctuation and all additional characters were then made from scratch. Nouveau Rose JNL is the finished result, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.
