Slabserif Grotesk JNL was modeled from an example of a wood type design called Antique Light Face, and is available in both regular and oblique versions. The numerals (although an odd fit to the overall design) make this vintage font quite unusual and charming.

The hand lettered title on the cover of the 1934 sheet music for "What A Night" not only acted as a design model for What A Night JNL but also as its namesake. The digital type face is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The 1960 revised edition of Sam Welo’s “Studio Handbook – Letter and Design for Artists and Advertisers” showcased a beautiful, semi-condensed Art Deco alphabet called “Modern Gothic”. It has been digitally redrawn and is available as Restauranteur JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

Amongst a number of items for sale in an online auction was a font of metal type featuring a thin, condensed serif font with decidedly Art Deco styling. This was the inspiration for Department Store JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The unusual hand lettering found on the 1945 sheet music for “Chinese Song” provided not only the design inspiration but the font’s name as well. A hybrid of Asian and Art Deco influences, Chinese Song JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

An example from the vintage lettering book "100 Alphabets Publicitaire" ("100 Advertising Alphabets") provided the inspiration for French Lettering JNL. The cover of a 1932 edition of “Sunset magazine” (a publication for homeowners living in the west and southwest area of the United States) featured a lovely Art Deco serif alphabet that is now available as Western Suburbs JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

The 1938 sheet music for the official Coast Guard Marching Song "Semper Paratus" "(Always Ready)" offered up a hand lettered title in a bold block style with rounded corners and an inline. This is now available as Stationer JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.

The 1954 sheet music for the song "Arrevederci Roma (Goodbye to Rome)" [from the MGM film "The Seven Hills of Rome"] was hand lettered in a medium-wide sans serif. This design is now available digitally as Arrevederci JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

Perfume Counter JNL was based on the hand lettered song title found on the 1938 sheet music for "At A Perfume Counter (On the Rue de la Paix)" from Billy Rose's New York revue "Casa Mañana", and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The 1907 sheet music for "Take Me Back to Dear Old Dixie" had the song title hand lettered in a decorative serif typeface with strong Art Nouveau influences. This design is now available digitally as Fancy Nouveau JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.

An ad for the film "Marine Raiders" in the June 16, 1944 issue of Motion Picture Daily features the movie's title hand lettered in a bold, slab serif stencil design. This is now available as Forward March JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

In the 1909 edition of the Atkinson Sign Painters’ instruction books is an extra bold sans serif alphabet and numerals called “Advertisers’ Thick and Thin Plug”. This hand lettered display face is now available digitally as Sign Lettering JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

A light and playful sans serif type design with Art Nouveau influences was called “Tasso” within the pages of the 1893 edition of the Barnhart Bros. & Spindler type specimen book. This is now available as Nouveau Boutique JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

The cover of the 1929 sheet music from the First National/Vitaphone picture “The Girl from Woolworth’s” had its title (“Someone”) hand lettered. This single word title was the model for Store Clerk JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions as well as solid and solid oblique versions (without an inline). A bold, casual sans serif with rounded ends and an inline, Store Clerk JNL is perfectly suited for projects where a strong, yet playful title is necessary to grab the reader’s attention.
