In 1894, Linn Boyd Benton finished a commission for a new text typeface with the American periodical, Century magazine. Century is typical of the neorenaissance movement in typography at the end of the 19th century. Morris Fuller Benton drew a number of versions of the font for the font foundry, American Typefounders, and Century was later taken up by the firms Linotype, Intertype and Monotype.

A grunge-oriented secret code font, Dekapot Deluxxe has mysterious underlines and accent marks that pop up at seemingly random locations as you type. But these morse-code-like dots and dashes are not random at all, they're simply attached to the preceding letter to make things seem more cryptic than they really are. Get it? Spiraltwists is a family of 2 fonts giving assorted spiral shapes. A ”modern“ Gothic – designed according to principles of modern form in three variations Faber Gotik is a reminiscence of Gutenberg’s first script from around 1450. The heavily broken forms allow further development in the direction of a modern, strongly geometric and less formal type. It should be possible to push the principle of design so far to the limit that a type is created which, from the very start, extinguishes reminders of a dark past. The characters are composed of squares which are lined up straight or in a more or less slanted manner. The year 2022 went and 2023 came. I can honestly say that last year was a horrible year and I am happy it ended a couple of days ago. The first week after New Year’s Eve always fills my head with the U2 song ‘New Year’s Day’ - so I named this font after a line from the lyrics. I also happened to watch a fantastic movie called ‘Im Westen Nights Neues’, directed by Edward Berger, but based on a book by Erich Maria Remarque, which, in English, was published as ‘All Quiet On The Western Front’. So there you have it: naming a font in 2 easy steps! ;-) All Is Quiet is a lovely brush font, which I created using my father in law’s Chinese pencil and ink. This typeface came out as a side idea while I was working on one logotype. Suddenly I came up with an idea of creating “tuned” version of the typeface, based on that logo. The “tuning” turned me in a completely different direction and in a few hours of haste I was looking at a completely different typeface. A few days later I made this font available for free, since it wasn't meant to be at all :-). A few months later, I saw my typeface used in the menu in one pizzeria. I was amazed and glad and happy and proud, all at the same time. Oh, by the way: the logo I was working on was of different style and even of another stem’s widths. So, this is truly a font of it’s own design. Naftalin has both Latin and Cyrillic sets, since it was used with both.

Yana Klink is an illustrator at Art. Lebedev Studio, whose works are often accompanied by lines of fancy text written in her own recognizable manner with long strokes and “beauty spots.” Once we needed to apply that style to a number of pieces of text, we decided to design a decorative script called Klinkopis. It comes in one weight (regular). Text set in Klinkopis looks best when arranged in waves, like the original. It is recommended to use large sizes—from 24 pt and up—and have no more than just a couple of lines that become an essential part of the artwork. Klinkopis is designed to use OpenType Contextual Alternates. To beautify your project even further, some characters can be manually replaced with their more intricate or plainer variations depending on the neighboring letters. Klinkopis features long descenders and ascenders, which requires large leading to avoid congestion.
