Of course, if you check a globe or map you'll see that the pilgrims needed a compass, it should have been called the eastshore as it's on the east end of the rectangle/hook we call the Commonwealth of Mass. In any event, the menu our waitress gave us was hand-lettered with shapes that I used to develop the 4 fonts called Jorge. When I brought the preliminary drawings into the office Steve Zafarana, a designer and cartoonist referred to them as Jorge's new design, the name stuck.

P22 CoDependent is a revival of the Independant typeface from 1930 created by Dutch designer Johannes Nicolaas Coenraad Collette along with Jos Dufour from Belgium. Independant was released in metal by the Belgian division of the Amsterdam Type Foundry in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the independence of Belgium from the Netherlands. Despite the name, the two fonts contained in the set, Regular and Shadow, are not codependent upon each other. They can be used alone, but together they can create a dynamic two-color option. Designed as a humanist style sans serif, the letters have variation in stroke weight. The italic faces have some variation in the letter design making them more of a true italic rather than simple oblique faces.
