Nerone is a quasi-unicase display type family in four weights, from light to black. In its lighter versions, it's reminiscent of dignified flared serifs like Albertus. In its black version, it's comparable to display faces like Serif Gothic, with a hint of Mostra-like despotism... Inspired by ancient Roman capitals, Nerone takes a whimsical look at how they might turn into a black fatface, and how a matching lowercase might give the whole affair a whimsical feel — specifically when applied to fun branding and marketing uses. Almost every type designer feels the need, from time to time, to interrupt his or her serious work on complex text type systems for something more playful. In Luc(as)'s case this has often meant designing more typefaces. In the early 1990s, while working on Thesis, Luc(as) drew several display faces which were based on the shapes of TheSans but were either de(con)structive versions or experimental variations. Probably the most innovative of these was Nebulae, in which the lettershapes have been dissolved into clouds of bubbles; the three versions can be layered to obtain a denser (and more legible) structure which can also be multi-coloured. A fourth version called ThreeDee (3D) offers a convincing simulation of three-dimensional bubble-like type floating in space.

Bebedot originated from doodles and scrabbles in notebooks; irregular forms very well might contain a style for an alphabet. Once used for an intro spread in Wired magazine (#6.04, April 1998): "To keep up you need the right answers. To get ahead you need the right questions". The name was inspired by a women clothing poster at the San Francisco bus stands. The dot is for the com that never came.

State Machine is a display typeface inspired by lettering applied to American and Russian Cold War-era military vehicles. It also features an alternate character set inspired by 1970s hand-made political banners. The name State Machine is a term found in both political theory and computer programming. The theoretical definition describes the political and bureaucratic organisation of a state as well as the repressive state apparatuses such as the military and police. Max Weber describes the state as "a human community that (successfully) claims the monopoly of the legitimate use of physical force within a given territory". In computer programming, a state machine is a mathematical model of computation used to design computer programs. It is conceived as an abstract machine that is in one of a finite number of states. It can change from one state to another when initiated by a triggering event or condition. Taken at a wider conceptual level, when these two definition are combined the meaning becomes analogous to a tool (such as a philosophical idea) with which to transform a society.

Flyers, Intros from James Bond films and PlayStation games as well as the typeface Senator from Zuzane Licko inspired the Dutch designer Paul van der Laan to create his font Linotype Rezident. To its design, van der Laan says, I was designing a business card for a friend and I had a certain mood in mind for the typography. I tried to capture this mood in a couple of sketches, drew a few characters directly onscreen and just expanded them into a typeface." A vintage hand-punched brass stencil for the Pasadena Playhouse spotted online was the basis for Theatrical Stencil JNL. Slight variations in the letter forms from other similar designs might not quickly be noticed, but there is always a charm in the hand-made look of any stenciled lettering.

Supra is an OpenType family for professional typography with an extended character set of over 700 glyphs. It supports more than 40 Central- and Eastern-European as well as many Western languages. Ligatures, different figures, fractions, currency symbols and smallcaps can be found in all cuts.

Linotype Sallwey Script was designed by Friedrich K. Sallwey in 1980. This typeface has a handwritten character due in part to its slight lean to the right. Sallwey Script is both lively and harmonious and lends texts a private, personal touch. Sallwey Script is best suited to middle length texts and headlines.
