Bold, rounded and super cool. Those are the attributes of my latest font “Vinyle”, french for vinyl. In this epoque where all fields of Design are giving a lot of importance and attention to Typography and Lettering, I felt it was my duty to contribute with something that could really stand alone and ‘say something else’ that just words to be read. I've found that lately in the world, regarding a finished piece of design, the role of Typography (and of letters in general) went from being secondary, (like a minor player or a supporting actor) to the most important one. People are starting to understand the beauty of a well-done letter: they want their storefronts with unique scripts, they want to drink coffee surrounded by lettered blackboards, they want to buy books with astonishing covers with swashes ‘por doquier’. I'm more than happy to be alive in a present where even the most unimaginable friends of mine, (who couldn't spot differences between comic sans and helvetica before) are now conscious of the importance of a letter, or let’s say: Of the ‘voice’ of Typography. With Vinyle I tried to make a font with power. Following the nowadays trend of, let me say, “the vintage sans renaissance”. This time I put my brushes and nibs aside and experimented with something new. It wasn't easy, if you will pardon, for me to see swashes all over the place withouth the classic calligraphic ‘thick and thins’, but with after some weeks of work I started to love them. Like I already showed you in other creations (1) let me finish with the phrase: GEOMETRY IS SEXY! TIPS Vinyle has a lot of attitude, it shouts “here I am!” it really can ‘design an entire piece’ for you with just a word or two: It was designed with a 10 degree slant on purpose so the user may rotate it (like on the posters) that amount of degrees in order to see better results. C.P. Company is a group of types including 4 different forms and it is a complementary sign of communication for the C.P. Company clothes maker. C.P. Company communication makes use of media such as the press and the web and that’s the reason why we have always felt the need for a font that would not show incongruities through the monitor. Therefore we have decided to change the structure of glyphs like a, e, g, s… in the most contrasted versions to prevent the serifs from touching the internal parts of the letters and in this manner we have made a really unusual stylistic choice for a group of types. The difference between the height of caps and smalls is very low (about 20%) so that the smalls are easy to read even when their dimensions are on a very small scale. Moreover this stylistic solution gives the possibility to avoid using the small capitals in case of charts and catalogue codes (i.e. Tricot M5) and provides more vertical compactness between the lines. Even a sentence written in capital letters next to another one written in smalls does not look so much contrasted from a typographical point of view and then it is not unpleasant. The limits due to different constructive principles have been overcome by means of a grid based on the automatic division of EM square of 9-point type and in this manner the letters have a wider face. The font is even more unusual owing to the style chosen that belongs to the classical tradition of hair-lined types for glyphs like e and also thanks to ligatures like ? in the characters set. CP Company is a geometrical font whose alphabet makes use of the style of types that preceded the Helvetica, matched with more experimental and updated solutions. Numbering is monospaced. The bending of number 2, the slight raising of the oblique serif of number 4 and the presence of a hair-line in number 7 are the solutions adopted to make the types match in a more balanced manner.

This font came to be when I was creating a cake topper mockup (see the promo images) and didn't have a thick script font that I liked for it. So I got to work writing out some fun chunky cursive letters that could top a cake! The concept of breaking bread is an old one, often meaning two parties working together. In the Breaking Bread font, I've combined that heavy connecting script with a hand-lettered sans-serif uppercase set. It works in all lowercase, all uppercase, and title case with equal ease! I've also included a number of alternates and ligatures, so you can have a truly hand-written look when double-letter words show up, plus a few extra characters and swashes to add some pizzazz to your work. Art deco The inspiration for FS Blake’s elegant, lightly geometric forms can be traced back to design of the 1930s; designer Emanuela Conidi was influenced by the typography of cool, European, art deco posters. After filling her sketch book with ideas, Emanuela and Jason extracted the elements that both felt could work in a font. Megumi was originally commissioned as a headline face for a fashion and lifestyle magazine with a heavy Japanese influence. The uppercase letters are narrow and have an almost monospaced aesthetic, being influenced by Romaji letterforms. Serifs are severe, and curves sinuous. Although experiments were made with extra weight, it was decided that only this ultra light weight would be developed, to be set large in headlines. The italic has an over-the-top 35° slant (so slanted in fact that the backslash from the italic is the exact same shape as the forward slash in the Roman) and a discretionary ligature feature that can be engaged to add extra interest to headlines. The Roman has a few wide alternate glyphs for round uppercase characters. Both styles have a stylistic set (ss03) feature which switches regular parentheses for angle brackets, which the Art Director thought “looked cool”. In a mess of venture capitalist pull-outs and Covid related issues, the publication never came to be, but the Hipster Japanophile Magazine World’s loss is your gain, as this beautifully crafted, editorial oddity is now available to license. Use it editorially, obviously, but it would also look great on posters, perfumes, postmodern publications, and perhaps some other things that don’t begin with p.

Berryfield started as an experiment: making a font entirely out of geometric shapes. It started with a couple of circles and a couple of rectangles, and was constructed entirely from those parts, and parts made from those parts! For the uppercase, I took style inspiration from the heavy serif classics. But when it came time to create the lowercase set, I took a sharp turn and looked to fun unicase fonts, creating uppercase-height lowercase letters, in addition to uppercase alternates. When I finished Berryfield Regular, I liked it so much I made a lighter version (almost like a typewriter font), and a heavier version, to give you even more variety! Each font in the family contains over 520 characters, including over 300 extended Latin characters for language support. There are also a number of alternate letters to choose from, as well as superscript ordinals (ST, ND, RD, and TH), all of which are PUA-encoded for easy access no matter what design program you're using. Berryfield was a ton of fun to make, and I hope you have a ton of fun using it! It's smooth and easy for both print and crafting; the uppercase alone is straightforward enough for a magazine headline, but combining in the lowercase makes it quirky and fun.

The font "Lugo" is a heavy typeface designed for use in headlines and caption text. Their design has a strong visual impact, a persuasive and seductive personality throughout its organic shapes. It has also an extended character set to support Central and Eastern European as well as Western European languages. Lugo is a city in northwestern Spain in the autonomous community of Galicia. The Celtic name Lug suggests that it may have been a sacred site. Augustus founded the Roman town of Lucus Augusti in 15-13 BCE following the pacification of this region. It is the only city in the world to be surrounded by completely intact Roman walls.

The Core Sans GS Family is a rounded version of Core Sans G and a part of the Core Sans Series such as Core Sans N, M, A, E, D. Core Sans GS is constructed of straight, circular or square shapes. These geometric shapes are inspired by classic geometric sans (Futura, Avenir, Avant Garde etc.). Every stem is a rectangle or a straight line and every letter, lowercase or uppercase, seems to be in perfect geometric form and even weighted. The small x-height makes readability clean and clear. Core Sans G can be used equally well in headings or in body copy. The Core Sans GS Family consists of 9 weights (Thin, Extra Light, Light, Regular, Medium, Bold, Extra Bold, Heavy, Black) with maching Italics. It also includes alternate characters (a,g,t) and a bunch of ligatures. The Core Sans GS provides a wide range of character sets to support (Cyrillic, Central and Eastern European characters) and advanced typographical support with features such as proportional Figures, tabular Figures, numerators, denominators, superscript, scientific Inferiors, subscript, fractions, standard ligatures, discretionary ligatures and stylistic alternates. Colonial Press is a font based on serif typefaces designed by William Caslon I (1692-1766) and various revivals thereof. Caslon is cited to be the first original typeface of English origin, but some type historians point out the close similarity of Caslon's design to the Dutch Fell types, presumed to be the work of Dutch punchcutter Dirck Voskens. Colonial Press harkens to the look and feel of newspapers in Colonial North America around the mid 1700s without the rough edges commonly associated with colonial printing and many reconstructions. The rough quality of the American typeface is believed to be the result of oxidation from the exposure to seawater during the long voyage from England to the Americas. Colonial Press is a heavy font that retains some of the handcut quality of these fonts while smoothing out the irregularities that make many of these fonts so visually distracting at larger point sizes. For the italic version of this font, I chose to emulate the more ornate letterforms that I have encountered, giving the italic characters a more ornamental feel. Colonial Press comes with full punctuation and a 362 glyph character set for most Western European-based Latin alphabet languages. It is a font that is designed both for normal typing and for larger, decorative display.

Bodrum Collection: 1- Bodrum Sans 2- Bodrum Sweet 3- Bodrum Stencil 4- Bodrum Slab 5- Bodrum Styte 6- Bodrum Soft Bodrum Stencil is a stencil serif type family. Designed by Bülent Yüksel in 2018/19. The font, influenced by style serifs, popular in the 1920s and 30s, is based on optically corrected geometric forms for better readability. Bodrum Stencil is not purely geometric; it has vertical strokes that are thicker than the horizontals, an “o” that is not a perfect circle, and shortened ascenders. These nuances aid in legibility and give "Bodrum Stencil" a harmonious and sensible appearance for both texts and headlines. Bodrum Stencil provides advanced typographical support for Latin-based languages. An extended character set, supporting Central, Western and Eastern European languages, rounds up the family. The designation “Bodrum Stencil 14 Regular” forms the central point. "Bodrum Stencil" is available in 10 weights (Hair, Thin, Extra-Light, Light, Regular, Meduim, Bold, Extra-Bold, Heavy and Black) and 10 matching italics. The family contains a set of 650+ characters. Yolk is an Eggcentric Sans Serif Typeface consisting of nine weights in both roman and italic. Essentially, this is a geometric sans typeface that has been inspired by the shape and proportions of an egg. With its bottom-heavy glyphs, Yolk has an unusual personality – it’s not too awkward to be off-putting, and it’s not too uniform to be associated with the myriad of generic geometric sans fonts that are available. Yolk has a distinctive presence in its upright form, while the italics exude a more flamboyant nature. When combined, your typographic results will be pleasing and perhaps a little quirky too. This 18-font type family achieves a good balance of personality, versatility, and usability. Small Caps are available at the click of a button, then add Stylistic Set 1 to achieve Petite Caps. Jantar Sharp is a text family with flared terminals that eludes the catego­ries of serif or sans. Its most recognisable features are taken from both styles to achieve proper design and high legibility standards. Jantar Sharp performs especially well when used for continuous reading including texts on web platforms. Its personality lies in the flared stroke endings and certain details which make its shapes neither sans nor serifs. Rather than following any particular historical model, it picks up elements from various periods to achieve an organically dynamic look which is entirely compatible with the reading process. Jantar Sharp Italic makes a nice contrast, though the pace and proportions are not drastically different from the upright. This allows for effortless reading of longer passages of italicised text. Jantar Sharp – as well as its teammate Jantar Flow – has been designed in seven weights from ExtraLight to Heavy, all with accompanying italics; it has a tabular and proportional set of figures in both old style and lining options are included together with a special set of hybrid figures sitting between x-height and capitals. Superscripts and subscripts are provided together with a vast collection of diacritics covering all European language and a set of case-sensitive characters.
