The typeface which inspired this offering was originally called "Chaucer", not because it is typical of lettering of Chaucer’s time (which it is not) but, more likely, because it’s pretty funny, even if the humor is low. Another purveyor of low humor, Mack Sennett and his Keystone Kops, suggested this version’s name. Both versions of this font include the complete Unicode Latin 1252 and Central European 1250 character sets.

This decorative caps-only type family was designed in 2004 by Vladimir Pavlikov and licensed by ParaType. Its letterforms are imitating low resolution display letters used at railway stations, airports, and other public places. Regular, Inline, Shadow Left, and Shadow Right styles are available. In the process they changed to the point where they had nothing in common with the original idea. As it is with most work we do, when we seek perfection, changes are inevitable. It was specifically designed with a wider structure for better appearance in small sizes and the extra attention to the detail was needed for the big sizes. We managed to find the right balance for the perfect universal font family. The family consists of 20 weights, ranging from Thin to Heavy with matching Italics. This font family is suited for everything, ranging from advertising, packaging, editorial and branding, to web and screen projects. The Confetti is a typeface created about 1930 by the defunct José Iranzo foundry in Barcelona, and imitates the forms and gestures of handwriting created with a round nib as “Speedball”Series B.
