Cal Uncial Rough is a calligraphic font based on sketches written with cane calligraphy pen and ink on coarse-textured paper. Because of the fact that the Uncial don't have lowercase letters, there are small capitals instead of the lowercase. As the Latin version of the Uncial was created from the Greek Uncial script (translating the Bible from Greek into Latin), in addition to the standard Latin graphemes, the font contains the Greek alphabet (and also the Cyrillic letters (Ustav), derived from the Greek Uncial too). Regardless of the stylistic connection, there is a difference between the morphology of related Greek, Latin and Cyrillic letters. Most of the graphemes are based on traditional roman and insular uncial calligraphy. The Declaration of Independence was authored by Thomas Jefferson, but his is not the classic handwriting on the engrossed copies familiar to most Americans. That belonged to Timothy Matlack, an early patriot who fought in the Revolution, sat as prosecutor at Benedict Arnold’s court martial, and also penned copies of a number of documents for then-General George Washington. Matlack’s script was compact but legible, perfect for the first and most famous of American documents. Now you, too, can write that way. Please note: The font does not include any of the signatures from the Declaration of Independence.

I bought a pineapple the other day, because my kids really like pineapples. Ok, ok, it may not sound like something special to you - but keep in mind that pineapples in Holland are an expensive fruit. We mostly get the canned ones (which I don’t like too much). Anyway, when I was slicing up the pineapple, I thought I should name a font after this bizarre, but tasty, fruit. And so I did. Pineapple Daydream is a handmade serif. I am not sure how to classify it, but I am sure you’ll figure that out. Comes with a plantation of diacritics.

Greater Albion Has been toying with thoughts of a “unicase” typeface for a while. On the other hand we’ve always wondered just what practical use they are. It is also a while since we’ve introduced a ‘handwritten’ design. Therefore, It struck us that one answer was something ‘hand-lettered’. These days many people do write in a sort of informal unicase don’t they? But, at the same time, we wanted it to have a little character. So here it is, a bit calligraphic, with a touch of black-letter and a cunning mix of upper- and lower-case forms Uncia Black!

Circe Slab is a slab version of the popular geometric sans serif Circe . It contains variations in weight and contrast, including three regular styles that range from non-contrasting geometric to almost typical book serif contrast ones. In addition, all text styles have narrowed versions. The character set of the font includes small caps, minuscule figures and a wide variety of alternative capitals and small caps. Regular styles of Circe Slab are suitable for long texts and the light and bold ones for headlines. The font was designed by Alexandra Korolkova with the assistance of Olexa Volochay and released by Paratype in 2018.

Aw, aren't they sweet? This lettering is based on a 1950s note a husband wrote to his wife shortly after they were married. His beautifully controlled and strong handwriting knows no lowercase characters; he gets his point across in uppercase only. In today's world of email and internet writings, we know that uppercase means shouting and is considered quite rude, but he didn't know that when he wrote this letter to his lovely wife! Love Ya Honey is very legible and looks beautiful when used for headlines, titling or even long expanses of body copy. Perfect for scrapbooking too!

The lettering for Stencil Box JNL was found on the packaging of a children's toy stencil set circa the 1940s. Popular for years, Pencil Stencils were a series of "connect the line" stencils where a series of dashed lines were traced from the cutouts and the lines connected to complete pictures of animals or other subjects. Although the packaging itself was often updated to reflect the current times during the life of the product, it was this hand-lettered example of stencil-meets-Art Deco from the 40s that proved worthy of saving as a digital typeface.

Mocombo JNL is a slightly modified version of one of the numerous alphabets created by the late Alf R. Becker for Signs of the Times Magazine during the period of the 1930s through the 1950s. Tod Swormstedt of ST Media—who is also the curator of the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio—supplied Jeff Levine a wealth of source material from which this font is derived. The angular style of this typeface was originally referred to as “German Poster Lettering” by Becker, but it can represent many styles from 1940s night clubs to African safaris and just about anything in-between.

Atomette is a bouncy sans that is friendly without being flippant, warm yet still stylish. The upper case and lower case options provide letters with less or more animation. Five weights plus an inline provide a neat mini-family to cover all your requirements. Suitable for snack packaging, comic books, toys, celebratory banners, book covers and games. Contains two or three options for each letter, including automatically-substituting letter-pairs to prevent repetition, plus an alternate set of numbers in circles. This double-wide wonder is based on Oswald Cooper’s original drawings for the typeface Cooper Fullface. ATF rejected this offering because they felt that several of the letterforms, and particularly the numbers, were a little too wacky for the mainstream. By now, you know that such an accusation is a "Please don't throw me in the briar patch" plea to yours truly. So, here, proudly and true to their designer’s original intent, are two versions of a really fun font. Both versions of this font include the complete Unicode 1252 Latin and Unicode 1250 Central European character sets.

Niveau Grotesk—the companion of Niveau Serif —is a type family of six weights plus matching italics and small caps. It was designed by Hannes von Döhren in 2013. Influenced by classical nineteenth-century faces, the fonts are based on geometric forms. Because of its straight architecture, Niveau Grotesk has a “punch” in big sizes but is very legible in smaller sizes and longer texts—in print or on screen. Niveau Grotesk is equipped for complex, professional typography with alternate letters, arrows, fractions and an extended character set to support Central and Eastern European as well as Western European Languages.

Ivy Tiles was designed as a set of 62 seamless, endless patterns accompanied by font map(s). They well might be a base for designing your own wallpapers, textiles, glass wall opaque foil privacy screens or even wooden fancy trellises - the choice is yours :) The font features simple, fancy, intricate patterns in three variants (Fill, Outlines and Stencil). - Outlines were designed with an idea of serving as an unobtrusive pattern on its own, or as a playful addition to the Fill pattern. - Fill pattern was designed to give more statement to Outlines, which in some cases may be too subtle for the job you have to be done. - Stencil has the most robust shapes. I have thrown this one in just in case you might want to do some DIY stencils. You may also use this file as a starting point for some CNC cut fancy trellis, however please do match pattern to the cutting method (ie. CNC, bolt cutter etc.) to the pattern and the material you intend to cut. -By overlaying Outlines & Fill (or Stencil & Fill) and manipulating those two layers you may get “more flat” or “more 3D” look. Have fun! Note: Please be aware that you may need to prepare those patterns in order to work with them in CAD-CAM or if you intend them for bolt cutter etc.

Rothek is a geometric sans serif type family with a strong and unique character. It comes in 22 weights — 11 uprights and 11 italics — and is a perfect tool for any designer who needs a versatile font for a variety of projects. My inspiration for this font was my father. He was a puzzle toy inventor and as a child he showed me how to write in capitals and this font is an homage to his handwriting style.

Kostic Serif is a classic transitional typeface (like Baskerville, Bookman, Caslon, Times) with tall, clean characters and a large glyph set to support all European languages - Greek and Cyrillic script included. Excellent for setting multiple pages of text and packed with OpenType features (proportional lining and oldstyle numbers, tabular figures, superscript and subscript, numerator and denominator figures, fractions and 31 ligature in 659 characters), it should meet the demands of even the most demanding typographic works. Kostic Serif is made with fairly large x-height, so the text is legible in very small sizes. Zoran began the work on Kostic Serif around 2002 and after completing Regular, Bold and matching italics, he wasn’t too pleased with the design, so he dropped further work on it to make other fonts. In 2010 Nikola came upon unfinished files for Kostic Serif, and decided to redesign the letters, while retaining basic proportions and widths that Zoran established earlier. When they were both pleased with the new look of the font, they made Medium and decided to add CE and Greek script to the glyph set, to make it pan-european.

Egon is a contemporary Slab-Serif typeface family built in ten styles—extra-light, light, regular, bold and black weights in roman and italic respectably. This is a refreshed (second) edition of Egon Serif, originally designed in 2008. The typeface has been updated—four new styles in ExtraLight and Black weights were added to the family and minor adjustments to glyph shapes (mostly italics) have been made.The typeface is designed with industrial and architectural flavor, as homage to Egon Eiermann, one of Germany’s great architects of 20th century. Egon is ideal as text and display font for publication use. Egon is released as OpenType single master with a Western CP1252 character set.

This is the tallest, skinniest, most condensed, non serif font I know of. I designed this because I felt a serious need for that one big, thin word to fit in a narrow space. It is great for ‘SALE!’ in a one column ad. Also is a life saver for several long words in a narrow space like Merry Christmas... If you need a full character set take a look at the new Ultra Condensed 3 font family. Ultra Condensed was based on Tall Skinny Condensed with some changes and a full character set. Ultra Condensed Lettered is a hand lettered version and Ultra Condensed Line is a lighter hand drawn version

The name DIN refers to the Deutsches Institut für Normung (in English, the German Institute for Standardization). The typeface began life as the DIN Institute's standard no. DIN 1451, published in 1931. It contained several models of standard alphabets for mechanically engraved lettering, hand-lettering, lettering stencils and printing types. These were to be used in the areas of signage, traffic signs, wayfinding, lettering on technical drawings and technical documentation. Rooted in earlier designs for Germany's railway companies, the alphabets were based on geometric shapes in order to be easily reproducible using compass and ruler. In post-1945 West Germany, the DIN alphabets were widely used, for instance on most road signs. They became available as fonts that were appreciated by designers for their industrial, somewhat quirky and “non-typographic” look and feel. From the 1990s onwards, more refined versions became available for use in book and magazine typography. DIN Next is a typographically corrected and expanded version of this quintessential 20th-century design. DIN Next Rounded is its softer, friendlier version.
