This font is the byproduct of a T-shirt line for a punk/hardcore band I did a while ago. The guys like it skatestyle, so I scribbled their bandname and tagline with fat edding markers, which was so much fun that I decided to make it into a whole font. PiS Wallride features ligatures and OpenType alternates for an even grittier and more authentic feel.

HS Decomage was created by a desire for a more modern approach and as an homage to the Art Deco period. HS Decomage has a large set of ligatures to make optimum spacing easier to accomplish and stylistic alternatives give design choices. HS Decomage works great for headlines but also handles descriptive text quite well. Multi-lingual characters, numbers and punctuation are included in HS Decomage.

Gwen is a variable type system in 7 weights. The complete font family consists of two subfamilies: the highly characteristic Display Serif family which shows its full potential and beauty in big sizes and a more subtle Text variation appropriate for smaller sizes. Font editors allow one to blend fonts, that is, to take two different fonts and create a new one by averaging the two source fonts. This feature is responsible for the many different weights that come with some modern typefaces. It can also be used to blend completely different fonts, though these blends will require a lot of cleaning and correcting to make them useable. EuroikaKamp began as a blend of two vastly different faces: Euroika, a face with a lot of contrast, straight lines, and smooth curves, and KampFriendship, a hand drawn serif that is almost mono linear. The result is an odd, quirky face that may be useful when one wants a very readable font without the precision and formality of a standard text font.

Bellfort Draw family is a hand-drawn version of the Bellfort family. It features 5 different sub-families: Regular, Rough, Hollow, Dark, Script. Each of these sub-families contains up to three font weights. When the font is used in OpenType-savvy applications, the 3 variants of glyphs are automatically alternated to achieve a random-like effect. When not using the Contextual Alternates feature, you can still pick the alternates in the Glyphs palette or use the alternates available from the keyboard upper and lower case. Bellfort Draw Script is a handwritten, fully connected script with ligatures and contextual alternates to help with flow and readability. A hand lettered emulation of a Roman stencil type face on the cover of the folio for the Stenso School Set was the basis for Eutaw Stencil JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. The Stenso School Set (circa 1940-41) was comprised of three stencils – two lettering guides and a map of the [then] 48 United States. Developed and patented by Baltimore school teacher Ruth Libauer Hormats, her stencils were the first to offer a system for accurate letter spacing and ease of use. “Eutaw” (as part of the font’s name) is taken from Eutaw Place, the street where Ruth and her husband lived at the time of Stenso’s inception. To the Cherokee, the name means “Creek Indian”.

Berimbau is a whimsical narrow hand-drawn typeface. It’s stylish, versatile and loaded with amazing OpenType features that do their magic in OpenType savvy applications. Its sprightly swashes and twisting stylistic alternates (say that 3 times fast!) play together to deliver a really cool contextual feature that, in a push-button way, substitutes the first letter in a word with its left swash version and the last letter with its right swash version (please type a space before and after the words).The feature also applies stylistic variants to some of the intermediate letters. Which button to push? The Contextual Alternates one! If you're not a one-click-way-person you can pick your preferred glyphs through the glyphs palette. There you’ll find at least 4 variations for each letter: left swash, right swash and 2 regular forms that correspond to the upper and lower case keys. Some letters also have a 5th variation that acts as stylistic alternate. This font is conveniently packed with the ‘access all alternates’ functionality, so when you click on a glyph at the glyphs palette you’ll see all variations available for it, making it easier to choose the one that will fit better. A bold weight was made to provide that extra-strength when a bit of… boldness is needed. Please note that it doesn’t have the advanced OpenType features (but is still very charming!). Picking up a concept of Fritz Richter, Circensis is the realization of an adorned diplay font which had not been hitherto available, neither as a hot-metal font nor digitally. It is a great and legible font for circus and variety ads and posters, as well as for films, cafés, ice-cream parlors etc.

One of the classic designs of the wood type era is Hamilton Gothic Bold [from the Hamilton Wood Type Foundry circa 1889]. Clean and timeless, it even had found a resurgence during the rock and roll posters of the 1960s, where vintage wood types and Art Nouveau influences merged with the “Hippie Counterculture”. Wood Gothic JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Folio was designed by Konrad F. Bauer and Walter Baum and appeared with the Bauer font foundry (Bauersche Gießerei) in 1957. The designers based their ideas on Helvetica but Folio did not turn out to pose the competition they had hoped. The font has the same applications as Helvetica and is an extremely legible font. Folio is particularly good for text and has an objective, neutral character.

It's a very happy day when we stumble upon beautiful alphabets that were never digitized. It is even a happier day when the beautiful alphabet finds its way to us through friends and people who like our work. Some two months ago, the forms of this gorgeous font were pointed to us by a friend who saw it in an old Dover Publications specimen book showcasing historical alphabets. It was there under the name Vanessa, with nothing else to go by. We looked and researched for further information but found nothing else. So this gem comes to you like a coal that winked its way out of the ashes because it wanted to shine again. Flirt is very authentic art deco with a noticeable element of artistic pride, swashy delicate majuscules and very aristocratic, fashionable and flirty minuscules. The majuscules can be used as every other capitals usually are, or as initial caps. The minuscules can very nicely stand on their own quite independently from the caps whenever desired. These letters are quite similar to the hand lettering used on of the kind of theater posters, specifically burlesque and opera entertainment, which are now considered very retro-chic and fashionable to see hanging on walls in home or office. The initial specimen we worked from showed a single basic art deco alphabet with numerals which seemed as they belonged to another font. That alphabet became the base Flirt font, the numerals were redrawn to fit much better with the minuscules, and the character set was greatly expanded to include punctuation, accented characters, and many many alternates, especially for the majuscules. Majuscules with a descending right vertical stroke were a common artistic touch in the high days of theater posters, so we thought they would be great additions to the character set. These alternates can be found all over the font. So to maximize the design fun, have a character map or glyphs palette handy when you use Flirt. After the base font was finished, we thought it would be a good idea to give it a bold treatment unlike anything seen out there, and the farthest thing from the mechanical bolds seen everywhere now. This bolding treatment consisted of thickening the lowercase's vertical strokes inwards, but leaving the horizontal stroke weight as is, and thickening only the thicker vertical strokes of the uppercase. The result is quite the visual feat. We encourage you to test both the regular and bold weights and see for yourself.
