Linotype Scrap is part of the Take Type Library, chosen from the entries of the Linotype-sponsored International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. The font is available in two weights and was designed by German artist Ingo Preuss. It is as though the forms of the basic weight were cut with scissors out of pieces of paper. There are no inner contours, only the outer silhouettes. The capital letters which make up Scrap Bonus are set on black rectangular backgrounds and are white and framed with a white contour. This weight includes a number of different pictograms which were also not spared the scissors. The decorative Linotype Scrap embodies the comic style of the 1990s and is meant exclusively for headlines of points sizes 18 and larger.

This set of initial decorated letters is an entirely original creation, drawn inspired by Italian renaissance patterns. It contains two roman alphabets : one drawn in white on black background and the other in black on white. We have included a few fleurons and decorative elements. It can be used as variously as web-site titles, posters and flyers design, publishing texts looking like ancient ones, or greeting cards, all various sorts of presentations, as a very decorative, elegant and luxurious additional font... This font supports strong enlargements remaining very smart and fine. It's prefered height is about one inch equivalent to about four lines of characters. This font may be used with all blackletter fonts, but works especially well with 1543 Humane Jenson, 1557 Italique and 1742 Civilite, without any anachronism.

All 6 fonts use the characters A - K and a - k to show two planets/stars/moons moving across each other. Nice and simple. There's a different number of points on the stars, or they're different sizes, and some appear to pass left-to-right, and some appear to pass the other way. Just type in ABCDEFGHIJK or abcdefghijk and you'll see. Two fonts have all the characters on the same level, (All-Black and Black+White). The Offset font has the 'sun/moon' with one slightly above the other and in black and white, and Half has them all-black. Partial has them even further separated in 2-tone. NearMiss is a very close shave. Comma, hyphen, and full stop/period give just a single symbol; there's a Space, and that's it.

This is a monospace font for the Braille alphabet. The idea came while exploring new ways to display the regular braille glyph ( 3 rows of 2 dots ). The glyph design is inspired by "stackable multiple board" games like the famous Vulcan chess (from Star Trek series) and the Qubic (3D tic-tac-toe). The stack is made from 3 levels, each level is a 3x3 grid with 2 "playable" cells (South-West and North-East). Each cell can be either empty, filled by a white square token or a black square token. The 3D effect is obtained by means of the classic isometric perspective. Lowercase letters use black tokens, while uppercase letters use white tokens. Most special characters (e.g. digits, *$#@, []{}() etc.. ) are also provided for special usages like program source code (see poster 5).

Dedicated to the XXII summer Olympic Games. I was inspired by the icons of these games when creating font Olymp80. This is an excerpt from the official report of the Moscow Olympics: "Sports pictographs, as we know, are pictographic drawings symbolising sports. They serve as points of reference and help overcome language barrier. Over the past few years, they have been integrated into the decoration of Olympic cities, and have been depicted in Olympic posters, commemorative medals, postage stamps, tickets, souvenirs, etc. On the OCOG-80’s request, graduates from several art colleges took up the design of the pictographs of the insignia as the theme of their dissertations. With the help of the research institute of industrial aesthetics, the Organising Committee chose the work submitted by Nikolai Belkov, Mukhina Art School graduate from Leningrad. The State Committee for Inventions and Discoveries under the USSR Council of Ministers recognised the new design as a production pattern. Though highly stylised, the new signs are easily comprehensible. They are smoother in outline because they are constructed at an angle of 30-60 (previously the angle was 45-90). Another merit of the new system is that the designs can be adapted for use in four representations: direct (solid, black against a white background), reverse (solid, white against a black background), contour (black contour against a white background), and reverse-contour (white contour against a black background), and permit several colour and shade and size variations." A heavy, cartoonish and fun font based on a hand lettered 1960s advertisement. The hand-lettered original gave me the idea to expand this into an OpenType font with multiple interlocking ligatures. There are over 260 alternate ligatures found the in the "Discretionary Ligatures" OpenType Feature, which will lend the font a hand drawn look. The ligature glyphs can also be accessed via the glyph palette. Great for any design that requires a fun and light-hearted mood. It's a family of four 'hand printed' typefaces that provides our very own answer to the infamous 'Comic Sans', and follows on from one of our early release 'Tectura'. The font Marcel is named in honor of Marcel Heuzé, a Frenchman who was conscripted into labor during World War II. During the months Marcel was in Germany, he wrote letters to his beloved wife and daughters back home in rural France. Marcel’s letters contain rare first-person testimony of day-to-day survival within a labor camp, along with the most beautiful expressions of love imaginable. The letters — stained and scarred with censor marks — were the original source documents used by designer Carolyn Porter to create a script font that retains the expressive character of Marcel Heuzé’s original handwriting. The result of years of research and design work, P22 Marcel Script features more than 1300 glyphs. The font is a highly readable running script that includes textural details that capture the look of ink on paper. Lotter blackletter with Drop caps One fine day I found a vintage book, it called “A treatise by the Dominican friar-writer Marcus von Weida on the Brotherhood of the Holy Rosary”. It was printed in 1515 by Melchior Lotter in Leipzig. The text was illustrated by hand-colored engravings on religious and liturgical themes and beautiful initials I like. Lotter was the last name of a family of German printers, intimately connected with the Reformation. An innovation by the elder Lotter was his use of Roman types for Latin, reserving the Gothic types for German. I'm happy to present to you my new font family. Lotter font family has Drop cap and Regular styles. It's all you need to precisely imitate medieval style text. Eckhardt Freehand JNL is the fourth font based on the lettering of sign painters and show card writers. Jeff Levine has chosen to name this “mini series” of fonts in honor of his friend Albert Eckhardt, Jr., a talented sign man who ran Allied Signs [in Miami, Florida] from 1959 until his passing in 2005.

Free Font Iamblock is a super heavy display font that makes a statement. In the family, you get a monospace and a naturally spaced version of Iamblock. Iamblock was developed with the rave and party scene in mind, with lots of bright, bold colors mixed with blacks and whites... it's about the heavy contrast.

Betula is the scientific name for Birch - I probably don’t have to explain that birches are my favourite trees! They always look like the ghosts of the forest with their papery white bark and dark blotches. Betula is a rough, crayon-like font. Very legible with a childlike appearance. Comes with a forest of diacritics.

Arya is a display typeface, based on Roman proportions. It has three versions, differentiated by the amount of the drawn lines. Single is solid. Double is sturdy but light. Triple is versatile and includes alternatives. They can be combined in layers. Capsule versions (White and Black) are designed to do quick, simple and elegant labels.
