ITC Kulukundis is the work of designer Daniel Pelavin, a square, connecting script which looks as though it could have been cast in shiny chrome for the side of a 1950s American roadster. Pelavin based his design very loosely on a vertical French script but the overall look is all his own. Unlike calligraphic scripts, the lower case letters all connect in exactly the same way and the straight diagonal junctures give the typeface its broad, spacious character and keep it locked into a continuous line. ITC Kulukundis could also be used to create a decorative border for special occasions.

Bandalero is a witty display font from British designer Richard Yeend. The letterforms in this poster/display typeface are quite square-ish and geometric. The lowercase letters have short x-heights, and the uppercase letters look dressed for a showdown, with bandoleer-like elements strapped across their tops. Because of this, Bandalero should only be used in large sizes, where it can really stare down its opponent, or reader. This might be the best font yet for a keep out sign! THE NORWEGIAN RUNES The oldest runes discovered in Norway date from 400 AD. They were based upon the 24 - rune Elder Futhark of Germanic origin. Two of the runes in the Elder Futhark, Pertra and Eoh, have never been found in any Norwegian rune text. From 550 AD to 700 AD there was a transition period between the older 24-rune Futhark and the newer 16-rune Futharks. By the end of this period, the 24-rune Futhark went completely out of use and the 16-rune Futharks had prevailed. Then, about 900 AD, the Shorttwiggs-runes were introduced from Sweden. Shortly thereafter, from 1000 AD, Futharks with more than 16 runes became more prevalent, as these were more consistent with the Latin alphabet. These types of runes were used in Norway up to 1800 AD.

Valenteena is in the spirit of the 19th century, but there are no other typefaces quite like it. It is geometric, using distorted hearts to form the letters. The lower-case letters are smaller versions of the upper-case letters. The overlay variant is derived by breaking ValentinaContour into its parts: the inner letter, the white inner border, and the black outer border. To use them one must have a program that allows layers of letters. Type in and format the inside variant to get the message you want. Also select the color you want this layer to have. Copy this layer twice, formatting one to the medium and and the other to outside. Color each of them in the colors you want and them combine the three layers, placing them so the letters exactly align. You will get letters with three colors.
