Flefixx is a typeface designed to support a project "Flefixx", an idiosyncratic visual language and typeface system that unfolds narratives based on common combinations of letters. In this visual language, just as individual letters come together like puzzle pieces to form different meanings or words based on combinations, the typeface is also constructed from fragmentary elements, each playing a distinct role as if they are individual pieces. The intentional exposure of the intersections of these fragments emphasizes the typeface's creation through interconnected elements. Furthermore, diacritics and dots are strategically positioned as ornaments, enhancing their presence within the gaps between letters. This concept aligns with the theme of composition and connectivity among fragments, allowing strong rhythmic patterns to emerge as letters and symbols blend in a paragraph. Additionally, the prominent and bold punctuation marks serve to provide pauses and clarity within sentences that incorporate both letters and the visual language. They contribute to articulating sentence structure amidst the dynamic flow of sentences with combined characters and visuals.

Uniform Rounded is a type family based on the 2014 Miller Type Foundry release, Uniform. This superfamily is comprised of three widths (regular, condensed, and extra condensed) each with six weights. The result is a fun and playful typeface that is extremely versatile and is a great asset for any project on any medium. Uniform Rounded is a multi-width geometric type family designed around the circle. The O of the Regular width is based on a circle, the O of the Condensed width is based on 1.5 circles stacked (with straight sides) and the O of the Extra Condensed width is based on two circles stacked with straight sides as well, and all other characters are derived from this initial concept. This unique idea creates a remarkably fresh type family that bridges the gap between circular geometric typefaces and condensed straight-sided typefaces. A Blocky Geometric Techical typestyle Modulate began as a digitization of a film typeface from LetterGraphics in the early 70's known as "Cadence". The original specimen included standard Capitals and Lowercase, Numerals and minimal Punctuation, a bare bones character set, previous only available on film and only in an upright stance. We've fleshed out the Modulate typeface to include a full standard character set, an extended international set, and a handful of alternate character styles. Houschka Alt Pro is a carbon copy of the Houschka Pro family with one key difference: the rounded signature glyphs A & W on the default positions swap places with their straight alternates. Houschka was named after Georg Houschka, a sadly defunct confectioner’s shop in Salzburg, Austria, which had a wonderful 1930s frontage and distinctively rounded letterforms in the sign above the door. Houschka Pro is the follow up to the original Houschka type family which first appeared back in 1999. Character shapes have been improved, kerning and spacing refined, and OpenType features include CE, Baltic, Turkish & Cyrillic language support plus small caps, 3 stylistic sets, contextual alternates, ligatures and 4 sets of numerals. Houschka is a clean and legible modern sans serif typeface which shares the humanist qualities of Gill Sans and Johnston but retains a uniquely charming character of its own (particularly in signature glyphs A, G, Q, W, u & w). The monolinear structure, rounded corners and rolling curves give Houschka a soft and friendly appearance.

Drystick is a Sans Serif typographic family of Geo-Grotesque style with 8 pesos plus the italic versions all include small capital letters the symbol of Bitcoin (b #) and other cryptocurrency symbols. It is a geometric typography, minimalist, with neo-grotesque modulations. The typeface has alternative letters and numbers, small caps and advanced OpenType functions. The Italic versions have some of their own characters (&, @, Q, a, g, y), these versions have many optical corrections to balance the deformations created in many curves by the mere inclination of the letters, which in the case of This typography is 9 °. The drawn of the vectors is careful to obtain smooth curves and elegant appearance, the thicker versions have ink traps in the joints of the joints to use in small sizes. The Metric and the Kerning of all the versions I have reviewed individually to obtain maximum readability in any type of text and size.

The source of inspiration for MFC Heathcliff Monogram is a crudely hand drawn vintage monogram transfer depicting a wider format diamond monogram. We revised numerous letters for better clarity and a more vintage industrial vibe. MFC Heathcliff Monogram is capable of traditional two and three letter format monograms, as well as gapped and hugging framing options for each. Numerals 1-9 and 0 on the keyboard for the 2 letter framing options typed before the letters, and use the shift key on the numerals for the 3 letter framing options type before the letters. It's just that easy. Looking for an MC in one of the letter slots? Just type mc on either side of MC in the middle to get it. Otherwise, just type a lowercase, a Capital, and then a lowercase to build your monogram. Sneakers was a typeface that I originally drew all the way back in 2005, with a release in 2006. Its most recent iteration, Sneakers Pro was released in 2009. Since then, the idea of reworking the design has lingered in the back of my head, but I wanted to add additional flexibility and value to anything offered beyond the originals. Sneakers Max does just that and I am happy to see it released and available to everyone. Sneakers Max raises the bar in terms of functionality… incorporating all of the options found in Sneakers Pro (e.g. Small Caps and a biform/unicase located now in Titling Alternates), but it expands the character offering, improves on letter designs (everything was redrawn) and explores more flexible settings by providing 5 distinct counter widths to keep more uniform multi-line settings with mixed letter heights. Special thanks to Potch Auacherdkul for his additions to the original character set and for his engineering skills.

Melina Plain and Melina Fancy are characterized by graceful lines, strong contrast and nostalgic overtones. These typefaces are patterned after two members of a type family named Greco, released by Fundición Tipográfica Richard Gans of Madrid, Spain, in the 1920s. Melina Plain is a refined version of Greco Bold, and Melina Fancy is based on Greco Adornado, with the notable addition of a lowercase, which was not a part of the original design. Melina is based on two typefaces (ca. 1920) from the Fundición Tipográfica Richard Gans in Madrid, Spain. Nick Curtis first found Greco Adornado in a type specimen at the Library of Congress. It was a cap only design. He made a cut of the original (Melina Fancy) and created his own lowercase, and many other characters to support contemporary character sets. Later he came across Greco Bold, which had a lowercase, but he chose not to use it and instead, adapted his Melina Fancy to create Melina Plain.

ITC Johann Sparkling is the work of Austrian designer Viktor Solt, a perfect imitation of the handwriting of an educated person of the 18th century. ITC Johann Sparkling is intended to close the gap between highly formal copperplate scripts and the scribbled look of 'true' handwriting," says Solt. "I am not very interested in highly formal and perfect calligraphy, but rather in quick, personal-looking scripts. Usually I start with some historical samples in mind, but I do not try to copy these sources. Instead, I incorporate them into my own handwriting. It takes up to two weeks, and many sheet of paper, before the respective script becomes my own. Of course, this would not be an economic approach for individual lettering jobs, but I can conserve the custom script for future use by digitizing it." ITC Johann Sparkling should be used in fairly large point sizes and its capitals only as initials.

Bandung is home to numerous examples of Dutch colonial architecture, most notably the tropical Art Deco architectural style. This typeface was adapted from the finest Art Deco landmarks and signage in Bandung, Indonesia and strongly added native elements of traditional Art Deco typefaces style. The main character is an example of a harmonious mixture between West and East architectural styles, repackaged into the Art Deco type design. With two different styles, it comes as regular and Deco styles, the regular style is constructed with all caps setting, with some different characters between uppercase and lowercase. The Deco style uses more stripes in the right shapes, it was naturally inspired with the most common art deco typefaces. The additional Opentype Features loaded in this typeface; some stylistic alternates, accessible catchwords in the discretionary ligatures, and the art deco ornaments, This typeface is highly usable with large scaling size and will fit with posters, movie titles, and signage designs.

Lightbox 21 is a radical update of my previous version of a geometric sans serif. The design of the original Lightbox was fundamentally based on the idea of incorporating the proportions of the ‘Golden Ratio’ into each letterform; Lightbox 21 greatly improves on this concept by entirely abandoning it. The result is a much more readable, ‘natural’ typeface that retains elements of the original without being bound to it. Overall, Lightbox 21 has been designed to convey that classic feel of a geometric sans that makes the genre so tremendously enduring and versatile, as well as providing an effortless sense of class to whatever they are applied. Primarily intended for editorial work (i.e. short to medium length texts) or display settings, Lightbox 21 has a reasonably extensive character set, including support for Vietnamese, many currency symbols, arrows, and small caps. It also has OpenType support for nut fractions (via a stylistic set) and a barred alternate uppercase i and an alternate curled j.

Linotype Textra is a clever twist on the sans serif genre, designed by Jochen Schuss and Jörg Herz in 2002. Schuss says this about Linotype Textra: "Two in one! The same Linotype Textra, which is so neutral and practical for long text passages turns into an eye-catching headline type when used in larger point sizes. The trick? It's all in the details. The type's clear, robust forms give it a high degree of legibility when used in smaller point sizes for texts. When used in larger sizes, the angular, slightly irregular forms that give the type its strong character become apparent. Hence the name Linotype Textra: pure text with a little something extra!" With 15 weights, the Linotype Textra family provides graphic designers with a good basis for almost any type of work. The five regular weights have matching true italics and old style figures, and the five small cap weights include tabular figures.

When I released Halogen, I asked ‘Who doesn't want or need an expansive contemporary extended sans that has a sense of style and swagger… what if it had a lowercase, small caps and various numeral options… how could you say no?’ Go, click on the Halogen link and read on, if you're interested. Halogen was well-received, so I decided to take it further with Halogen Slab (the name kinda tips you off as to what kind of typeface it is, don't ya think?). As always, I prefer not to take short cuts and provide an anemic offering of glyphs — a modern typeface offered today must provide more than just the basics and this one does — lowercase, smallcaps, old style numerals, tabular forms, stylistic and titling alternates, fractions, case-sensitive features, and even an alternate uppercase ordinal set is included. Beorcana can be classified as a serifless roman, a stressed sans, a glyphic sans, or calligraphic sans. However it is classified, Beorcana derives not only from other stressed sans designs like Lydian, Amerigo and Optima, but also utilizes classic Renaissance proportions in both Roman and Italic, which facilitate extended reading. Beorcana is available in Display, regular Text and Micro styles. Beorcana’s Text styles offer comfort and liveliness in books, dictionaries, magazines and other reading-intensive settings. Display styles offer a stately and organic flavor for any application. Micro styles perform in tight and dense settings like dictionaries, bibles, maps and fine print. The name Beorcana is a variant of the Icelandic word for the Birch tree, and the related words for the Icelandic rune. Quars is a text and display typeface family designed to work on magazines. However, it is also suitable for books and other editorial material. It has a strong personality with elegant, sharp and contemporary features. This typeface comes from several subtle influences, from the contrast of the Scotch Romans to the sharpness of contemporary Dutch designers. Quars is a crystal clear and neat typeface full of small details, its structure is bursting with curves and accurate features which gives it its firm personality. Its italic experiments with the boundaries of italics themselves; with just 1 degree of slant Quars Italic accomplishes its purpose of highlighting pieces of text within its Roman. Donnerstag is an extended slab serif and a new companion to insigne's Montag, Dienstag and Mittwoch typefaces. The most exciting new feature of DynaGotesk is the Vintage Italics stylistic set, which activates the decorative forms. It includes the looped "w", curved ascenders and descenders of many lowercase letters. These can significantly change the feel of a poster or invitation. DynaGrotesk may look like a revival of an old typeface, but it is not. It uses only some historical reminiscences, sharp edges and curved shapes, but it’s completely original design aimed at ease of use. The bigger the size, the more evident and pronounced are the spicy details. In smaller and even smallest sizes it’s appearance is qieter, very well suited even for long portions of text. DynaGrotesk was created in 1995 with the use of Multiple Master interpolation. But the MM fonts never achieved the desired application in industry, so designers returned back to single fonts. Over the following decades, the font was modified several times as an old house, and the present re-animation includes the Variable font format. Since its first release in the mid-nineties, it is widely used in all areas of graphic industry from small publishing to international corporate identity. The warm character of DynaGrotesk derives from early sans-serif typefaces, those which appeared before Helvetica. All 60 styles contain common OTF features like Small Caps, various sorts of figures, ligatures, Cyrillics, Greek, and full Latin diacritics. Perfect for branding systems and corporate identities, lettering, as well as cultural posters and catalogs.

Sánchez Niu is a redesign of Sánchez—one of the first font families by Latinotype designed in 2011. In the typedesign industry the terms ‘nova’, ‘neue’, ‘next’, ‘new’ are often used to refer to a typeface that has been modified in different ways: redesign, technical readjustments, greater number of characters, etc. At Latinotype we are now starting to use the word ‘niu’ to refer to these kinds of typefaces. Niu is an adaptation of the original word ‘new’, i.e., we have adapted this English word to the phonology and spelling of our own language but keeping the original meaning. Race mixing, diversity, change and adaptation are part of the essence of Latin American culture and, at Latinotype, we are all constantly expressing these elements in everything we do. Latin Power! This new version includes improvements that make it work well with longer text. Such improvements have not had a major effect on the look of the font, though. We have adjusted the original proportions and added a number of new characters as well as OpenType features such as small caps, oldstyle figures, tabular numbers and stylistic alternates. Sánchez Niu contains a set of 720 characters that support 219 languages. The font is well-suited for long text, headlines and logotypes, and it has been optimised for web usage. Sánchez Niu comes with two free fonts—Regular and Regular Italic! Corrections, digital editing and review by César Araya, Rodrigo Fuenzalida and Alfonso García.

Inspired by a find a coarse but decorative font was created. "Fundstueck" ist the German term for it. Fonts can be so simple. That is what I was thinking as my attention was turned to this rusty piece of metal. Only a few centimeters in size, I couldn’t imagine which purpose it might truly serve. But my eyes also saw an E, even a well-proportioned E: a width to height ratio of approximately 2/3, black and fine strokes with a 1/2 proportion — could I create more characters on this basis? Thought it, did it. The form is based on a 5mm unit. The strikingly thick middle stroke of E suggests that the emphasis is not necessarily placed on the typical stroke, and likewise with the other characters. But if the font is going to be somewhat legible, then you cannot leave out slanted strokes completely. Eventually I found enough varying solutions for all letters of the alphabet and figures. A font designed in this way doesn’t really have to be extremely legible, which is why I forwent creating lower case letters. Nevertheless, Fundstueck still contains some diverse forms in the layout of upper and lower case letters. Thus, the typeface is a bit richer in variety. By the way — the “lower” letters with accents and umlauts stay between the baseline and cap height. And with that, you get wonderful ribbon-type lines.

Space Armada - A Science-Fiction Font for Out of this World Designs! Space Armada is inspired by a 1980s interpretation of the future, referencing blockbuster sci-fi action movies of the period, along with the emerging video-game consoles and home computer technologies. It's nine unique fonts are designed to work together in a variety of ways, so you can layer it's different styles on top of each other to retro-futuristic effect!* Here's an example of how it works: Start by placing the Regular font on top of the Bold for a simple base outline. Add contrasting gradients to both fonts for an instant metallic or chrome effect. Take it a step further with one of the readymade Outlines for an embossed look. Overlay the Wireframe font for a glimpse inside the machine! This looks particularly good when you apply a glow effect and reduce it's opacity so the other layers show through. The Palatino™ typeface was first designed over 50 years ago by Hermann Zapf, and is probably the most universally admired and used of his type designs. In 1950, it was punchcut in metal by August Rosenberger at D. Stempel AG typefoundry in Frankfurt am Main, and then adapted for Linotype machine composition. Zapf optimized Palatino's design for legibility by giving it open counters and carefully weighted strokes, producing a typeface that was legible even on the inferior paper of the post-World War II period. The font was named after Giambattista Palatino, a master of calligraphy from the time of Leonardo da Vinci. Palatino is a typeface based on classical Italian Renaissance forms. It has become a modern classic in itself, and is popular among professional graphic designers and amateurs alike. Palatino works well for both text and display typography. The development of all signage was put into the hands of Adrian Frutiger and his studio. ALS Direct is an open and dynamic typeface with clear-cut letterforms that make it instantly readable. It lends text a neutral, yet agreeable and modern feel. Direct has nine font styles convenient for the purposes of navigation signage. Regular-style letterforms are rather wide, because direction signs are likely to appear before readers at an angle, so the type needs to withstand perspective distortions. And as signs and boards may vary in size, Direct was developed to include several width variations. Condensed fonts can be used where horizontal space is limited, allowing you to keep proper height and readability of the characters. A signage typeface must be easily readable from some distance away and have simple letterfoms with clear-cut features to quickly identify characters. Designing a type for a potentially wide range of purposes calls for a universal approach. If not destined to be used for navigation in a particular building, it shouldn’t incorporate any peculiar elements to agree with certain design or architecture. All of the above determined our choice of a sans serif with large apertures and definite features allowing readers to instantly recognize letters. Descenders are made compact not to interfere with the line below. And the low contrast between thick and thin strokes renders all elements equally perceptible. The x-height is significant, close to the cap height, which inhances readability of the lowercase type. There are two reasons why directions must not be set in all caps. Firstly, lowercase letters are more diverse and include ascenders and descenders identifying some of the letters in the line. And secondly, having learned to read, people recognize word shapes rather than individual letters, which makes lowercase text more readable. With Direct being a signage typeface, first to be developed were its width variations, and different weight styles and italics were added later. Another thing to be kept in mind was that signs often use dark background colors, and black type on a white background appears smaller than white type on a black background. Direct is the first Cyrillic typeface created for navigation purposes. Before that, designers could use the Cyrillic version of Frutiger (Freeset) developed by Adrian Frutiger for the Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport, and a number of other, mostly body copy, neutral sans serif types.
