Goby has several distinct personalities, and can definitely help you make some waves. Lower case Goby is sweet, lively, easy to read, bold, and always friendly. I found this type specimen on the statue of Jan Hus in Prague’s Old Town Square. The statue was designed in 1903 by Ladislav Saloun, and its writing is the cutest Nouveau font I've ever seen. Filling in the blanks, I realized the need for a standard lower case because the caps are so wild. The result is a very type-able and dynamic Nouveau. Filo Pro is a very beautiful and highly legible typeface family as regular, medium and bold. It is a quite characteristic, modern interpretation of the humanistic serif. The serifs of Filo Pro are not too dominant, and its forms are soft and organic. The font family renders extremely well in text sizes but can equally well be used for headlines. Squickt was the first script I designed. The name is an atrocity, I don't remember what was on my mind, when I decided on that name, but after 25 years it is to late to change, so I have to stick with it. I have recently gone over the script and changed a little stroke here, a curve there and I added Small-Caps. The font is very useful for all kinds of signs, that have to look spontaneous. Helmswald Post is a handsome Blackletter that's been years in the making. There's a mix of wispy terminals, flamboyant caps, and the use of negative space to create contrast. Elements from High German, Old English, and many other styles make their way into this gorgeous display font. The result is a medieval looking script with cleaner, more modern feel. In addition to European accents Helmswald Post is equipped with Cyrillic, alternates and ligatures. Old world numerals are present by default but may be substituted by accessing the stylistic sets. Use it for a book cover, web headings, or a restaurant logo.

Informal does not have to mean aggressively modern or casual. Helenium is inspired by some hand drawn capitals that I found added to a 19th century map. It's a great font for informal titles and headings that still keep an air or regularity and ever so slightly period elegance. It manages to be formal and casual all at once, as well as classical and modern. Helenium's range of different weights and drop shadow effects make it useful for hierarchical titles and headings. Helenium miniscule adds greater flexibility by extending the family with a fun range of rounded lower case forms.

Ida is a simple and utilitarian typeface reminiscent of late 19th/early 20th Century grotesques, yet having a warm and friendly nature. Closed apertures and low contrast combined with elegant skeleton of individual characters create an impression of both rationality and comfort. Technically the font is modern and functional but still calls forth the emotion of a valve radio. Ida comes in 18 styles – 6 roman weights with companion italics and 6 narrow widths. One can also benefit from the use of small caps, alternate characters and indices. The typeface was designed by Maria Kharlamova (Selezeneva) and released by ParaType in 2017.

Drop Caps happen. They started off life as decorated initials way back when in the days of illuminated manuscripts. Then printing came and they became the work of the rubricators and then somewhere soon after printing began, at least by the 1490’s, they were printed directly into the text. This then is a collection of over a hundred glyphs from that closing decade of the Incunabula period. All of them are based on examples found in the works printed by Michael Wenssler in Basel. This font also contains a few useful pointing hands and a set of spacing characters.

Elastica is a new handwritten type system created by Resistenza, it is based on humanistic sans serif fonts of early 20th century. Irregular handwritten strokes that gives a D.I.Y feeling perfect to get a close sense of communication. When using all caps, It features three different sets of capitals which combine together randomly, creating an elastic random effect with infinite combinations. OpenType features offers also the opportunity to use the three different capital sets separately. Its optimized legibility, simple structure and low contrast was made to perform excellently with e-books and mobile apps in mind. We recommend combining Elastica with ‘Beach Please’.

A Tarte Tatin is a French upside down apple pie. The story goes that one of the Tatin sisters (who ran Hôtel Tatin in Lamotte-Beuvron 169 km south of Paris), was baking a regular apple pie, but put the apples first and, realising her mistake, tried to rescue the dish by adding the pastry and sticking it in the oven. Tarte Tatin is a really nice all caps font. It was made with a Japanese brush pen on rough paper. Tarte Tatin comes with extensive language support and a set of alternates for the lower case letters.

Pikelet is a misprinted grunge font ideally suited to headlines, poster and display. As well as irregularities of printing in the actual letters, the ordinary versions contain "print errors" around some of the letters, whereas the Clean versions are identical but without those extra bits of overprint. The All Caps version has 2 sets of capitals which are different to the capitals in the Regular version (and to each other). And the jumbled versions have varying amounts of mis-alignment, but not variations in size. MVB Gryphius is a digitization of uncommon type from an era normally associated with the work of Nicolas Jenson. Produced by Otto Trace, the fonts come from types used by Sebastian Gryphius in Lyon in the early 16th century. The italic appears in a book from 1524 and the roman and small caps appear with the same italic in another book printed by Gryphius in 1541. Retaining the rough contours and uneven texture of its source, MVB Gryphius is best used at text sizes from 12- to 15-point, but its old world character can work in display settings too.

The inspiration for Mimosa comes directly from the packaging for “Moulinard Jeune”, a line of French toiletries from the 1920s. I created the 240-odd glyphs needed to make up a complete font based upon the style of a handful of hand-lettered characters that were used on the original items. Mimosa is a mono-weight, connecting vertical script with a fairly regular set of lower case and slightly more decorative upper case glyphs. As with any decorative script, if you set copy in all caps, you will be tracked down and severely punished by the type police.
