Arabescos ND is part of Neufville Digital's GRAFÍA LATINA Collection. The original name of this collection of typographic decorations is 'FUGUE D´ARABESQUES'. These elements can spice up texts and give them a significance beyond their words. Unlike other typographic decorum these symbols inspired by sea and air have numerous matching points to join them with letters, words and texts.

Gerusa is a sans-serif technical typeface family by Loligovulgaris.com. It features a 970+ glyph set per cut, with monospaced uppercase and text-suitable lowercase characters, a very complete set of diacritics, math glyphs and a full range of OpenType features. This family is OCR and ISO inspired, with an engineering/architectural feel, robust and pragmatic, with the usual technical ugliness chopped away.

The 1930s produced many distinctive and stylish autos. One was the Auburn, and this typeface was suggested by a period poster for the make. Another fine car of the time gives the font its name, because “it’s a Duesie!” Both versions of this font contain the Unicode 1252 Latin and Unicode 1250 Central European character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

Cabriolet is a connected geometric script re-interpretation inspired by old chromo emblems of Chevy truck Apache of 1960. With three weight variables, it can be used in logos, games and graphic related to cars, automotive, American, Detroit, Art Deco, 1940, 1950, 1960, vintage, retro, classic and old machines. Can be expandable using underscore for connect words or expanding between letters space.

This exuberant face was suggested by a piece of French sheet music from the 1930s for the song Sur un Air de Shimmy, The name comes from an Australian song from the 1950s about a noncompliant boomerang. Both versions of this font contain the Unicode 1252 (Latin) and Unicode 1250 (Central European) character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

The genuine Futura takes up Paul Renner’s earliest sketches and brings back to life the original stylistic alternatives of the letters a, g, m, and n. Another of its peculiarities is the curved ends of the j, l, and t. It retains its genetic heritage, maintaining a perfect geometry, but with a fresher air than ever. DF-Stromboli doesn’t look like it but in fact it is a script typeface. It was written with a coffee spoon, acting like a broad pen, in the ashes of the Stromboli volcano right on top of a scanner. In the late 90’s, there were many German cars coming into Malmö (where I lived at the time). I was blown away by the font on the license plates. So strange, so strong, peculiar – but still macho. I built the uppercase from my own photos. After this I completed the font with my own lowercase, small caps and punctuation.

Though there are many thousands of digital typefaces available, none seem to be made exclusively of letters that tessellate, a complete tessellating alphabet. This void is now filled with not one typeface, but a group of typefaces, the Tescellations kinship group. Even though I am aware of only one use for this typeface--writing about tessellations--that does not mean there are not hundreds or perhaps thousands of other uses. These typefaces are a byproduct of two maze books I designed, Puzzling Typography and Puzzling Typography A Sequel. I found the challenge of making mazes from tessellations, including letter tessellations, intriguing and these typefaces are a byproduct that endeavor. There are seven members of this typeface kinship group. I tried to select the the glyphs that fit together best to form Tescellations; it is the most readable of the lot. The reason for an Italics version is that I needed one for the maze project. In constructing it, I tried to include as many different lower-case glyphs as I could rather than just skew the regular version. A purist might insist that the tessellation deal with the counters. My approach was to worry only about the exterior of any letter that has an interior, but for anyone who who might object to the counters, versions with filled counters are included. What did not fit into Tescellations was dumped into Tescellations Two, which is somewhat of a ransom-note type of face. It comes in two styles, a regular version and a version in which the counters are removed. TescellationPatterns shows how many of the characters in these typefaces tessellate. It has over 100 tessellation patterns, each on only one character. Simply type several lines with any character and make sure the leading is the same as the font size, and you have an instant tessellation pattern of a letter.

URW Geometric Condensed is the matching complement for the URW Geometric. Including 20 additional condensed styles the URW Geometric Condensed is the space-saving alternative in the URW Geometric family. URW Geometric is a sans serif typeface inspired by the German geometric typefaces of the 1920s but designed for modern usability. The character shapes have optimized proportions and an improved balance, the x-height is increased, ascenders and descenders are decreased. Special glyphs, which are often designed afterwards for the original geometric typefaces from the 1920s, are perfectly integrated in the URW Geometric. These design characteristics increase the usability and legibility tremendously. With its 10 weights ranging from Thin to Black, plus 10 additional oblique styles, it has a great versatility in mind. The extreme light styles shine bright in large sizes, the middle weights are perfect for body copy and the bolder variants for the use of emphasis information or bring a strong impact to headlines and information. The optically balanced styles are designed to work in perfect harmony together. URW Geometric is functional, strong, simple and harmonized in form, and at a glance appears as a modern variant of its predecessors. Apart from the basic characters the design has an extra focus on the special glyphs. These are designed for today’s needs. For example: the email glyph looks modern and unique, including a perfectly balanced spacing. The number sign, in modern use called “hashtag”, is space saving and optically balanced for body text. Additionally, various extra and alternate glyphs are designed to provide a friendly usability. Linotype Quasaria is part of the Take Type Library, selected from contestants of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. The font was designed by German artist Armin Retzko and the characters are composed of disjointed pieces. The eye tries to complete the symbols into the forms they are used to. Linotype Quasaria with its unique forms is intended exclusively for headlines and displays.

We are calling for a boycott against petty power struggles. Uppercase and Lowercase are slightly different from each other. This grungy font won prize at the best font 2006 and new Rising Star at MyFonts. “Boycott’s a noisy design -a little rough around the edges, but just the way we like our big grunge fonts. boycott is a perfect design for posters and large headlines.”

Carved Initials, under the character set, are initials that appear to have the background carved away so the initial appears protruding. Under the shift + character set the initials appear to be carved into the background so the initial appears to be recessed. There are two sets of initials, protruding and recessed, a through z and 0 through 9 for a total of 72 characters.

Diogenes is an elegant and crisp text typeface. While the skeletons of the individual characters are distinct and strong, the serifs are fine and sharp. This is especially true for the capitals with their comparatively strong horizontal strokes. The graceful appearance of Diogenes makes it an ideal choice for books, newspapers, and magazines, both at small text sizes and display sizes. See also this minisite.

LineDrive was inspired by an obscure 19th century type design. It has no curved lines and what are normally circular elements in the lower-case letters are diamond-shaped. It might work best with only upper-case letters, which have a Victorian feel to them. In addition to the two weights of plain and bold, the family includes a shadowed version and an inline (or outlined) version.

Hotel rooms in Kolkata don't top the list of 'luxurious habitations'. They are dingy, fly-ridden, dirty and noisy. But if you look really hard, you will find traces of long gone grandeur. This font is all of the above and more: it is sloppy and messy, it spikes and sags, but it does give your designs that extra oomph you are looking for.

BlusterLeft and BlusterRight are distortions of the font ConcavexCaps. Both are caps only, but some of the shapes on the lower-case keys differ from the corresponding shapes on the upper-case keys. They family was named Bluster because I thought they have a wind-blown, flopping-in-the-breeze look. Others may see them as spooky or eerie, something that could be used for Halloween.

Life was designed in 1964 by W. Bilz and marks the beginning of a new generation of newsprint fonts. The Ionic style had replaced Modern Face and was now replaced by this new innovative style, which mixed elements of Old Face, Transitional and Modern Face forms. Life’s characters are based on the forms of Times and are the result of a time of change and experimentation.

Slabton is a font family in the slab serif style. There are six defined weights, from thin to black, and six italic weights as well as a variable font. All latin small caps are integrated and the font contains a lot of useful open type features and options. Also, there is an additional shaded decor style for decorative matters and elements like headlines and initials.

JetJaneButton has letters on a design that looks like a computer button. Its letters are from JetJane Mono, a sans-serif monospaced font. The typeface contains characters that can add color to letters. There are two ways to do this. One uses layers and the other a combination of characters, some with zero width. Peanut is a face full of bounce and playfulness but is based on the traditions of the long revered Roman minuscule. The letters are unique in that they imply “youth” without relying on cliché child-like letterforms. Peanut and Peanut Sans come in a ‘Salted’ style which features many alternate letterforms. Both the Salted and regular styles are combined into in the Pro fonts.
