The same monograms found on a 1930s-era business card that inspired Golden Beach JNL are reproduced as Art Deco Monograms JNL. Left-side monograms are on the upper case A-Z, while the lower case a-z are the right side monograms. A vertical bar is on the period key for a centerpiece between the two initials.

FansiPensle is a set of four decorative scripts. The capitals are fussy and ostentatious and a little weird with strange flourishes. The lower-case letters are neat and simple. Lower-case letters have the shapes of a cursive alphabet and they are connected in the cursive and cursive-bold styles but not in the plain and bold styles.

Coronet is a non-joining script font first issued by Ludlow. The capitals have been drawn with a degree of freedom whereas the lowercase are more formal in structure. The ascending lowercase letters of the Coronet font are quite tall, descenders are short. Coronet is a useful script for informal occasions, such as invitations, flyers and greetings cards.

Merrivale is an ideal example of the benefits of keeping ones eyes open- it was inspired by the gilt-finished raised lettering on a late Victorian shopsign in Melbourne, Australia. The family of seven faces include upper and lower case forms, small capitals, all capital forms, and flamboyant display forms. Extensive Opentype features are incorporated. All faces are offered in incised forms inspired by the original lettering as well as in solid black filled forms. Thsee typefaces are wonderful for signage where either a period air or a dignified but legible feel are required. They also lend themselves to other display uses such as posters, book covers and so forth and are ideal for the title lines of certificates.

These six faces are interpreted from examples shown in Rob Roy Kelly's "American Wood Types" They are not merely scanned copies, but have been redrawn from scratch with various optical adjustments. Kelly points out that the true glory of the American Wood Types are the negative spaces, which are, in their dynamic active forms, the antithesis of the anemic flimsy letters produced by type foundries in the 19th century. The Comic-Script by ingoFonts In the past cartoons used to be lettered by hand. Hardly anyone does this today. The reason is, because hardly anyone has nice handwriting these days, so there are practical advantages in having a special font. However the font should still look like it’s been written by hand. Well, most script fonts don’t meet this requirement. The LeDrôle Lettering is a computer font, but closely resembles genuine handwriting. The model for the LeDrôle Lettering is my personal handwriting, as can be seen on the example of the Biró Script, which is also an ingoFont. The habit of capitalization comes from the Romanic and Anglo-Saxon countries. Depending on the purpose they are designed in three significantly bolder weights. In order for the typeface to actually look handwritten, it needs to have clearly visible irregularities. These are not found only in the shapes of the individual letters. Even though LeDrôle Lettering is all in capital letters, the characters of uppercase and lowercase letters are clearly different. Additionally, many alternative shapes are used, which are automatically applied when the OpenType “Ligatures” feature is activated. Thus, there are no identical double letters or numerals, and many character combinations are defined as ligatures with alternative forms.

Ela Swashes are not meant to and cannot be used as a standalone typeface. Swashes are a set of many different embellished letters to be used together with Ela Demiserif fonts of corresponding weights.

DecorateTheTree is a festive novelty font family containing two styles designed to be used in layers. Each style has letters on Christmas-tree lights. The regular style has clear bulbs and the bold style has filled bulbs. Some characters are on standing bulbs and others on hanging bulbs and these two sets are made to alternate with the OpenType contextual alternatives (calt) feature. To use only one set of bulbs, this feature must be turned off and character spacing adjusted, though why anyone would want to use only one set is a mystery. These fonts are monospaced. They are useful to display a holiday message not just in words but in the lettering itself. (The characters on the bulbs are derived from the font SansduskiMono.)

In HU Ketchup KR, the consonant and vowel strokes are naturally connected to add writing power to the thick headline, and the vowels are shaped like 'ㅅ', adding personality and cuteness at the same time.

Nothing is as it really should be with Thursday Afternoon. The x-height is jumpy, letters are not in their right places, lines are crunchy, serifs are uneven...the list goes on...but in the end, Thursday Afternoon turns out as a legible and functional font. It has most of the moves from classic serif fonts, but then again it has a mind of its own!
