Artist Colony JNL is the third type design inspired by some online examples from an early 20th Century French book of decorative hand lettering. Inside the pages of the April, 1937 issue of the fan magazine “Hollywood Now” is an unusual bit of hand lettering used for the titles in a number of featured articles. One of the type examples found within the pages of “Lettering” by Harry B.
